2023-05-24 10:43:36THIS PLAN WAS REVIEWED AND FAILED BY PETER LEDUC, FIRE
 MARSHAL, WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1) THERE IS INFORMATION REGARDING THE UNDERLAYMENT BUT,
 THERE IS NO INDICATION OF A MANUFACTURER'S
 SPECIFICATION SHEET NOR A PRODUCT NAME FOR THE PROPOSED
 WOOD FLOORING.
  
 WOOD FLOORING IS MANUFACTURED AROUND THE WORLD BUT NOT
 ALL ARE TESTED AND MEETING LISTED AND NFPA STANDARDS.
  
 PER NFPA 101, CH 30
  
 30.3.3.3 INTERIOR FLOOR FINISH.
 30.3.3.1 GENERAL. INTERIOR FINISH SHALL BE IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 10.2.
  
 10.2.7.2* FLOOR COVERINGS, OTHER THAN CARPET FOR WHICH
 10.2.2.2
 ESTABLISHES REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRE PERFORMANCE, SHALL
 HAVE A
 MINIMUM CRITICAL RADIANT FLUX OF 0.1 W/CM2.
  
 FOR THE OFFICIAL RECORD, PLEASE PROVIDE THE WOOD
 FLOORING NAME AND THE PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS INDICATING
 THE FIRE BEHAVIOR RATING.
  
 IF THE PROPOSED FLOORING IS PORCELAIN/CERAMIC TILE,
 NATURAL STONE TILE, CONCRETE TILES, PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS
 WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED.
  
 PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS ARE REQUIRED FOR LVT, VINYL
 FLOORING, WOOD/VINYL LAMINATES, ETC.
  
  
  
 2) THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF NEW WALLS, AS WELL AS, A
 STATEMENT OF NO FIRE SPRINKLER WORK.
  
 ANY REMOVAL AND/OR CONSTRUCTION OF WALLS AND /OR
 CEILINGS REQUIRE AN EVALUATION OF THE FIRE ALARM AND/OR
 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS BY APPLICABLE LICENSED
 CONTRACTORS FOR CODE COVERAGE COMPLIANCE.
  
 ANY AND ALL WORK ON THE FIRE ALARM AND/OR FIRE
 SPRINKLER SYSTEMS, INCLUDING DEMO, SHALL BE DONE UNDER
 SEPARATE PERMITS AND SHOP DRAWINGS.
  
 THE EXISTING LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS, FIRE ALARM AND/OR
 FIRE SPRINKLER SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND REMAIN ACTIVE
 THROUGHOUT THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, INCLUDING DEMO.
  
  
 PLEASE REVIEW AND PROVIDE A LETTER FROM A FIRE
 SPRINKLER CONTRACTOR OR PROVIDE A NOTE OF
 ACKNOWLEDGMENT TO PROVIDE FIRE SPRINKLER MODIFICATIONS
 UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT.
  
  
  
  
  
 3) THERE ARE INDICATIONS OF BATHROOM WORK ON WALLS THAT
 MAY BE FIRE RATED TENANT OR CORRIDOR SEPARATIONS.
  
 ENSURE FIRE RATED TENANT SEPARATION WALLS, IF DAMAGED,
 ARE REPAIRED TO THE EXISTING FIRE RATED SEPARATION.
  
 PROVIDE A NOTE OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT
  
  
  
 4) WHEN RESUBMITTING, PLEASE PROVIDE PLAN SHEET
 REVISION CLOUDS OR NUMBERED NARRATIVE RESPONSES TO THE
 ABOVE.
  
  
  
 5) ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE PROVIDED ON THE
 RE-SUBMITTAL OF THE ABOVE.
