 THIS PROJECT IS LOCATED IN A SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREA.
 ON THE DATE (1/21/2014) THE PERMIT WAS APPLIED FOR, THE
 FLOOD MAP THAT WAS IN EFFECT HAD THIS PROPERTY AS AN A5
 FLOOD ZONE WITH A BFE OF 7' NGVD 1929. THE CITY OF WEST
 PALM BEACH HAD A 6" FREEBOARD REQUIREMENTS AT THAT
 TIME. THEREFORE, THE LOWEST FLOOR ELEVATION FOR THE
 BUILDING AND EQUIPMENT SERVICING THE BUILDING WAS 7.5'
 NGVD. THIS IS THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION OR DFE.
  
 1) [NOT RESOLVED. ON THE ELEVATION DRAWINGS THE GARAGE
 FINISH FLOOR IS SPECIFIED AS 0'-0" AND THE EXISTING
 HOUSE IS SPECIFIED AS 1'-9". THE FLOOR PLANS SPECIFY
 THE GARAGE FINISH FLOOR AS 5.5' NGVD AND THE HOUSE F.F.
 AS 7.5' NGVD, WHICH IS A DIFFERENCE OF 2'-0". THERE IS
 A 3" DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE TWO ELEVATIONS. THIS COULD
 BE AN ISSUE WITH THE FLOOD VENTS, SINCE YOU CAN ONLY
 COUNT THE AREA OF THE FLOOD VENTS THAT ARE BELOW THE
 DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION WHICH IS 7.5'. PLEASE CORRECT.]
 SPECIFY THE FINISH FLOOR ELEVATION FOR THE GROUND FLOOR
 ON THE FLOOR PLAN IN NGVD 1929. FBC 107.2.1
  
 2) RESOLVED.
  
 3) [NOT RESOLVED. THE FLOOR PLAN SHOWS GYPSUM BOARD ON
 WALLS BELOW THE 7.5' DFE.] IN ADDITION TO THE FLOOD
 OPENINGS, THERE IS A REQUIREMENT THAT ALL MATERIALS
 THAT ARE BELOW THE DFE SHALL BE RESISTANT TO DAMAGE
 FROM FLOOD WATERS. SHOW COMPLIANCE. FBC-R322
  
 4) PLEASE SUBMIT A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH
 OF THE REVIEW COMMENTS HAS BEEN ADDRESSED.

 5) THE SPACE UNDER THE STAIRS HAS TO BE OPEN TO ALLOW
 FLOOD WATER TO FLOW OUT OF THE FLOOD VENTS. ALSO ANY
 WALLS BELOW DFE (7.5') HAS TO BE MADE OF FLOOD
 RESISTANT MATERIALS. FBC-R322.2.2
  
 6) THE ELEVATION CERTIFICATE FOR FINISHED CONSTRUCTION
 NEEDS TO BE REMOVED FROM THIS REVISION AND SUBMITTED
 ALONG WITH A FINAL SURVEY (WITH ELEVATIONS) AS A NO FEE
 SUBMITTAL.
 A) THE PHOTOGRAPHS NEED TO SHOW THE ENTIRE FRONT, REAR,
 RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE ELEVATIONS OF THE PROJECT.
 B) THE LOWEST ELEVATION OF THE EQUIPMENT SERVICING THE
 BUILDING IS REQUIRED TO BE AT OR ABOVE THE DFE (7.5').
 C) THE FINAL SURVEY WITH ELEVATIONS NEEDS TO BE
 SUBMITTED WITH THE FINISHED CONSTRUCTION ELEVATION
 CERTIFICATE.
 D) SUBMIT THE EVALUATION REPORTS AND PRODUCT APPROVALS
 WITH THE FINISHED CONSTRUCTION ELEVATION CERTIFICATE.
