 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) 2ND REVIEW. SHEET A.1. THIS REVIEW S NEW ADA
 RESTROOM HAS BEEN DESIGNED AND A NEW STORAGE CLOSET
 NEXT TO THE BACK EXIT. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH MANEUVERING
 CLEARANCE BETWEEN THE NEW STORAGE CLOSET & REAR EXIT.
 ACCESS. CODE 404.2.4 MANEUVERING CLEARANCES. DOORS.
 MINIMUM MANEUVERING CLEARANCES AT DOORS AND GATES SHALL
 COMPLY WITH 404.2.4. MANEUVERING CLEARANCES SHALL
 EXTEND THE FULL WIDTH OF THE DOORWAY AND THE REQUIRED
 LATCH SIDE FOR SIDE CLEARANCE.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE STATED VALUE OF THE WORK
 COVERED UNDER THIS PERMIT IS $16,000.00 DOLLARS IN
 VALUE. THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET A.2, PLEASE PROVIDE WHERE
 YOU WILL SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2020
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 202.4.1.
 DISPROPORTIONATE COST. ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN
 ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE
 DEEMED DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN
 THE COST EXCEEDS 20% ($3,200.00 DOLLARS) OF THE COST OF
 THE ALTERATION TO THE PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COST THAT
 MAY BE COUNTED AS EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN
 ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COST
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN
 ACCESSIBLE ROUT TO THE ALTERED AREA; (II) COST

 INSTALLING ACCESSIBLE FAUCET CONTROLS; (III) COST
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES, SUCH
 AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT,
 INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT
 TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV) COST ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING
 AN ACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN. PLEASE PROVIDE ON THE
 CONTRACTORS LETTERHEAD WHERE AND WHAT AREAS ARE GOING
 TO BE MODIFIED FOR CODE COMPLIANCE LIST ITEMS AND COST
 BREAK DOWN UP TO THE DISPROPORTIONATE COST OF $3,200.00

 2) NEW COMMENT. SHEET A.1 SCOPE OF WORK NOTE STATES: NO
 PLUMBING BEYOND CONNECTING NEW SINK TO EXISTING STUB
 OUT, THE RESTROOM SHOWS A TOTAL NEW LAYOUT OF THE
 WATERCLOSET AND LAV AND REMOVAL OF SHOWER. NEW
 UNDERGROUND PLUMBING AND VENTING IS REQUIRED. 2020 WEST
 PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE,
 CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1. CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE
 LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED AND
 SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS
 OF THIS CODE AND RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND
 REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 3) NEW COMMENT. SHEET A2 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET SHOWS
 ELEVATIONS FOR ACCESSIBILITY BUT NOT FOR WALL FINISHES
 IN THE NEW ADA RESTROOM AND COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION
 2020 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. THIS COMMENT
 IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION ON
 06/2020. IN BATHROOMS, RESTROOMS & SERVICE SINK AREAS
 EPOXY PAINT IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A SMOOTH HARD,
 NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE.
  
 3A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 3B) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 3C) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS AND
 PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.
  
  
 3D) 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS
 A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER???S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM (MR BOARD) SHALL NOT BE USED FOR
 SHOWER & TUB ENCLOSURES BUT CAN BE USED FOR BACKING
 BOARD FOR A BASE FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT
 WALLS WHEN INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM
 C840 AND THE MANUFACTURE???S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 4) ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: SHEET A.1 HAS A LIST OF
 ACCESSIBILITY ACCESSORY SCHEDULE:
  
 4A) BOTH BACK AND SIDEBARS INDICATE TO BE MEASURED FROM
 FLOOR TO CENTERLINE OF GRAB BAR. SHEET A.2 ELEVATION
 VIEW OF RESTROOM SHOW THE GRAB BAR MEASURED CENTERLINE
 TO FINISH FLOOR. 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION
 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB BARS. GRAB BARS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN A HORIZONTAL POSITION, 33 INCHES MINIMUM
 AND 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR MEASURED
 TO THE TOP OF THE GRIPPING SURFACE, NOT CENTERLINE.
  
 4B) SHEET A.1 THE TOILET PAPER HOLDER STATES THE
 CORRECT DISTANCE FROM THE FRONT OF WATER CLOSET WHEREAS
 SHEET A.2 SHOWS THE TOILET PAPER HOLDER MEASURED FROM
 THE BACK WALL TO THE CENTER LINE OF PAPER HOLDER,
 DISCREPANCY IN PLANS. TOILET PAPER DISPENSERS. 604.7.
 THE TOILET PAPER DISPENSER SHALL COMPLY WITH 309.4 AND
 SHALL BE 7 INCHES MINIMUM TO 9 INCHES MAXIMUM IN FRONT
 OF THE WATER CLOSET MEASURED TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE
 DISPENSER.
  
 5) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER / NARRATIVE LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF
 THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR
 SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL
