 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 3RD REQUEST. PLEASE NOTE A ADDRESSING STOP WILL BE
 ADDED TO THIS PERMIT, THE COVERSHEET & TITLE BLOCK JUST
 STATES THE ADDRESS OF 300 CLEMATIS ST. ADD A UNIT
 NUMBER FOR THE FIRST FLOOR UNIT WHERE WORK IS OCCUR
 UNDER THIS PERMIT. THIS IS A 3-STORY BUILDING WITH THE
 LIFE SAFETY PLAN STATING FIRST LEVEL SAFETY PLAN. IT IS
 HARD TO DISTINGUISH WHERE THE WORK IS TO OCCUR, ON
 WHICH FLOOR. 2020 FBC-B 501.2 ADDRESS IDENTIFICATION.
 NEW AND EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH
 APPROVED ADDRESS IDENTIFICATION.
  
 2) COMPLIED.
  
 3) 3RD REQUEST, 3A-3F. THE RESPONSE LETTER STATES THE
 NEW TENANT SEPARATION WALL AND EXTERIOR WALL AND (2)
 NEW EXTERIOR DOORS ARE TO BE UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT. THE
 COMMENTS STAND UNTIL THE SEPARATE PERMIT IS APPLIED FOR
 AND THE NEW PERMIT NUMBER APPLIED TO SHEETS A100A &
 A101, STATING THIS WORK IS UNDER PERMIT 2012XXXX.
  
 2ND REVIEW. SEMI-COMPLIED. WITH THE EXISTING FLOOR PLAN
 IT IS APPARENT THAT THERE WILL BE ONE NEW EXTERIOR DOOR
 AND A EXTERIOR DOUBLE SET OF DOORS BEING REMOVED AND A
 NEW OUTSWING DOOR BEING ADDED.
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. PLEASE PROVIDE A EXISTING FLOOR
 PLAN AND PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN TO SEE EXISTING AND
 PROPOSED WORK. 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION
 107.2.1.CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUFFICIENT
 CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF
 THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT WILL
 CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND RELEVANT
 LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED
 BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 3A) PLEASE PROVIDE A DETAIL FOR THE NEW DISMISSING
 TENANT WALL. THE EXISTING TENANT SEPARATION WALL
 SEPARATES THE STAIRWELL FORM THE PROPOSED TENANT SPACE.
 THE FUTURE TENANT SEPARATION WALL IS NEW AND NEEDS A
 DETAIL FOR THE TYPE OF WALL AND IF THE DESIGNER
 REQUIRES THE TENANT SEPARATION WALL TO BE FIRE RATED.

 3B) SINCE THE EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING (DOORS) ARE NEW
 AND RELOCATED PLEASE PROVIDE THE WIND DESIGN CRITERIA,
 NOTE NEGATIVE PRESSURES ARE TAKEN FROM THE ROOF, (3
 STORY BUILDING).
 2020 FBC-B 1603.1.4 WIND DESIGN CRITERIA.
 THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION RELATED TO WIND LOADS SHALL
 BE SHOWN, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WIND LOADS GOVERN THE
 DESIGN OF THE LATERAL FORCE-RESISTING SYSTEM OF THE
 STRUCTURE:
  
 3B1. ULTIMATE DESIGN WIND SPEED, VULT, (3-SECOND GUST),
 MILES PER HOUR AND NOMINAL DESIGN WIND SPEED, VASD, AS

 PRODUCT APPROVAL BEFORE SUBMITTING TO DESIGNER OF
 RECORD AND BEFORE SUBMISSION TO THE BUILDING
 DEPARTMENT. FOR ALL PRODUCTS WITH GLAZING, PLEASE
 IDENTIFY THE OPENING WIDTH & HEIGHT, SILL HEIGTH, TYPE
 OF GLAZING, MULLION SIZE, LENGTH IF UNREINFORCED OR
 REINFORCED INFORMATION IF REQUIRED, ATTACHMENTS AND
 ASSOCIATE PRESSURES FOR EACH OPENING SIZE. 2020 FBC-B
 1405.13.1 INSTALLATION. WINDOWS AND DOORS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVED MANUFACTURER???S
 INSTRUCTIONS. FASTENER SIZE AND SPACING SHALL BE
 PROVIDED IN SUCH INSTRUCTIONS AND SHALL BE CALCULATED
 BASED ON MAXIMUM LOADS AND SPACING USED IN THE TESTS.
  
 3F) PLEASE PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL WALL DETAIL FOR THE
 PORTION OF EXTERIOR WALL THAT IS BEING REFRAMED WITH
 TWO NEW DOOR LOCATIONS. IT APPEARS TO BE FRAMED INTO
 EITHER AN EXTERIOR DOOR OR WINDOW. HOW WILL THIS BE
 FRAMED TO MEET WIND LOADING. 2020 WEST PALM BEACH
 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND
 EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL THAT IT
 WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND
 RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS, AS

 4) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER / NARRATIVE LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF
 THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR
 SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL
 HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR
