 1- WINDOW MULLIONS:
  
 PREVIOUS COMMENT:
 DESIGN PRESSURES WERE RESUBMITTED TO REFLECT THE
 CORRECT BUILDING HEIGHT WHICH IS 45 FEET. BASED ON
 RESUBMITTED CALCULATIONS, THE SPECIFIED MULLION DOESN'T
 MEET THE CALCULATED DESIGN PRESSURES. THEREFORE, WINDOW
 MULLION SIZE NEEDS TO BE REVISED TO MEET THE ENGINEER'S
 DESIGN PRESSURES.
 NOTE: THE CORNER MULLION IS AN STRUCTURAL MULLION. THIS
 WAS DISCUSSED WITH ROBERT BROWN (BUILDING OFFICIAL). IF
 THIS MULLION IS GOING TO BE REPLACED, THEN IT NEEDS TO
 BE REPLACED WITH THE EXACT SAME SPECIFICATIONS.
 CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE
 EXISTING MULLION.
 OTHERWISE, PROVIDE ENGINEERING FOR STRUCTURAL MULLION.

 2- WINDOW OPENING CONTROL DEVICES: WINDOW OPENING
 CONTROL DEVICES ARE REQUIRED WHEN THE WINDOW SILL OF AN
 OPERABLE WINDOW IS AT A HEIGHT LESS THAN 36 INCHES
 ABOVE THE FINISHED FLOOR.
 WINDOW OPENING CONTROL DEVICES NEED TO COMPLY WITH ASTM
 F2090.
 CLEARLY SPECIFY IF THERE ARE ANY WINDOWS WHERE THE
 WINDOW SILL IS LESS THAN 36" ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR.
 SEE SEC. 702.4 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE.
  
 RESPONSE:
 THIS WILL BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD BY THE BUILDING
 INSPECTOR. THIS COMMENT IS JUST TO GIVE HEADS UP ABOUT
 THIS REQUIREMENT.
  
 3- FBC- B 1405.4, A FLASHING DETAIL OR SPECIFICATION IS
 REQUIRED. THIS COMMENT CAN BE RESOLVED BY DOING ONE OF
 THE FOLLOWING:
  
 REVISE THE FLOOR PLAN TO NOTE THAT FLASHING IS REQUIRED
 AND NOTE THE CODE REFERENCE - EXAMPLE "FLASHING IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH FBC-B 1405.4 WILL BE INSTALLED".
 PROVIDE A WRITTEN SPECIFICATION IN LETTER FORM - THIS
 MAY INCLUDE MORE THAN ONE OPTION
 PROVIDE A FLASHING DETAIL - THIS MAY INCLUDE MORE THAN
 ONE OPTION
