2022-08-17 12:49:12THIS PLAN WAS REVIEWED AND FAILED BY PETER LEDUC, FIRE
 MARSHAL, WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1) THERE IS AN INDICATION ON THE FLLOR PLAN: "UNDER NEW
 TILE", HOWEVER, THERE IS NO INDICATION OF THE
 REPLACEMENT FLOOR/"TILE"PRODUCT/MATERIAL.
  
 THERE IS ALSO A SPEC SHEET FOR THE FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT,
 BUT NO "TILE" SPEC SHEET NOR A PRODUCT NAME FOR THE
 ACTUAL PROPOSED REPLACEMENT FLOORING.
  
 THE WORD "TILE" CAN HAVE DIFFERENT DEFINITIONS TO
 DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND CAN BE MANUFACTURED AROUND THE
 WORLD AND NOT ALL ARE TESTED AND MEETING LISTED AND
 NFPA STANDARDS.
  
 PER NFPA 101, CH 30
  
 30.3.3.3 INTERIOR FLOOR FINISH.
 30.3.3.1 GENERAL. INTERIOR FINISH SHALL BE IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTION 10.2.
  
 10.2.7.2* FLOOR COVERINGS, OTHER THAN CARPET FOR WHICH
 10.2.2.2
 ESTABLISHES REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRE PERFORMANCE, SHALL
 HAVE A
 MINIMUM CRITICAL RADIANT FLUX OF 0.1 W/CM2.
  
 FOR THE OFFICIAL RECORD, PLEASE PROVIDE THE "TILE"
 PRODUCT NAME AND THE PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS OF THE
 PROPOSED "TILE" FLOORING INDICATING THE FIRE BEHAVIOR
 RATING.
  
 IF THE PROPOSED FLOORING IS PORCELAIN/CERAMIC TILE,
 NATURAL STONE TILE, CONCRETE TILES, PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS
 WOULD NOT BE REQUIRED.
  
 PRODUCT SPEC SHEETS ARE REQUIRED FOR LVT, VINYL
 FLOORING, WOOD/VINYL LAMINATES, ETC.
  
  
 2) SHEET A 2 - THERE IS AN INDICATION OF SECURING A
 KITCHEN DOOR; HOWEVER, THE DOOR WILL REMIAN ON THE
 EXTERIOR.
  
 FOR FIRE GROUND OPERATIONS AND GAINING ACCESS FOR LIFE
 SAFETY , FF'S NEED TO KNOW THAT THEY CANNOT ENTER THAT
 DOOR.
  
 4.6.1.2 ANY REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL FOR THE
 SAFETY OF BUILDING
 OCCUPANTS AND THAT ARE NOT SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED FOR BY
 THIS CODE SHALL
 BE DETERMINED BY THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION
 A SIGN IS REQUIRED WITH THE WORDING(OR SIMILAR) NO
 ENTRY THIS DOOR.
  
 4.6.1.3 WHERE IT IS EVIDENT THAT A REASONABLE DEGREE OF
 SAFETY IS PROVIDED,
 ANY REQUIREMENT SHALL BE PERMITTED TO BE MODIFIED IF,
 IN THE JUDGMENT
 OF THE AUTHORITY HAVING JURISDICTION, ITS APPLICATION
 WOULD BE HAZARDOUS
 UNDER NORMAL OCCUPANCY CONDITIONS
  
 PLEASE REVIEW, ENSURE COMPLIANCE AND PROVIDE ANOTE OF
 ACKNOWLEDGMENT ON THE PLAN SHEET.
  
  
 3) WHEN RESUBMITTING, PLEASE PROVIDE PLAN SHEET
 REVISION CLOUDS OR NUMBERED NARRATIVE RESPONSES TO THE
 ABOVE.
  
  
 4) ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE PROVIDED ON THE
 RE-SUBMITTAL OF THE ABOVE.
