 FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE,
 STONE, MARBLE, VINYL (LYT/ LYP), LAMINATE FLOORING AND
 WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND
 UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING
 STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH
 OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/
 NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 1A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 1B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 1C) FLAME SPREAD, TYPE III-TYPE V CONSTRUCTION:
 FBC-B-2020 720.2 CONCEALED INSTALLATION. INSULATING
 MATERIALS, WHERE CONCEALED AS INSTALLED IN BUILDINGS OF
 ANY TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION, SHALL HAVE A FLAME SPREAD
 INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 25 AND A SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX
 OF NOT MORE THAN 450.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.

 703.2 IS FOR LEVEL 1. THIS IS A LEVEL 2 ALTERATION AND
 THE FIRE ALARMS NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2020
 FBC-EXIST. CODE SECTION 804.4.1.6.AS REQUIRED BY THE
 FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE FOR EXISTING GROUP R-2.
  
 4) SHEET A-1:
 4A) THE 1ST FLOOR PLAN SHOWS THE END UNIT TO BE
 ACCESSIBLE, IT IS NOT CLEAR IF THE INTERIOR FLOOR LEVEL
 IS THE SAME HEIGHT AS THE CONCRETE SLAB ON THE EXTERIOR
 OR WITHIN ? INCH OF THE SAME HEIGHT. 2020 FBC-ACCESS.
 CODE CHANGES IN LEVEL 303.2 AND 303.3. WHERE CHANGES IN
 LEVEL ARE PERMITTED IN THE FLOOR OR GROUND SURFACES,
 THEY SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 303. SEE 303.1 & 303.2.
  
 4B) THE FLOOR PLAN OF THE ACCESSIBLE UNIT NEEDS TO SHOW
 A ELEVATION VIEW. THE KITCHEN SINK SHOWS A FORWARD
 APPROACH BUT NOT GOING UNDER THE SINK CABINET, A SIDE
 APPROACH DOES NOT WORK SINCE THE SINK IS AGAINST THE
 WALL. 2020 ACCESS CODE 606.2 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. 606.5
 EXPOSED PIPES AND SURFACES. 606.3 HEIGHT. LAVATORIES
 AND SINKS SHALL BE INSTALLED WITH THE FRONT OF THE
 HIGHER OF THE RIM OR COUNTER SURFACE 34 INCHES MAXIMUM
 ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 4C) PLEASE PROVIDE ELEVATION VIEWS OF THE ACCESSIBLE
 RESTROOM TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH PLUMBING ELEMENTS AND
 ACCESSORIES, 2020 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE CHAPTER 6.
  
 5) SHEET A-2 SHOWS THE NEW GUARDRAIL / HANDRAIL SYSTEM
 AT 36 INCHES. 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3
