 AUGUST 15, 2022
 I HAVE REVIEWED THE ABOVE REFERENCED PERMIT, AND
 PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
  
 1. PROVIDE A TREE SURVEY TO VERIFY THE LOCATIONS OF THE
 TREES. THE THREE TREES ON THE WEST PROPERTY LINE NEED
 TO BE VERIFIED THAT THEY ARE INSIDE THE PROPERTY LINE.
  
 2. PROVIDE A TREE DISPOSITION CHART WITH A DETAILED
 LIST DESCRIBING SPECIES, CONDITION AND DIAMETER OF THE
 CANOPY FOR EACH TREE AND INDICATE IF PROPOSED TO BE
 REMOVED, RELOCATED OR REMAIN.
  
 3. ALL INVASIVE EXOTIC PROHIBITED SPECIES MUST BE
 INDICATED AS BEING REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY AND IF
 POSSIBLE IN THE PBC CANAL AREA PER SECTION
 94-448(F)(11). THE LIST OF SPECIES CAN BE FOUND IN
 SECTION 94-445(4)I.
  
 4. STAFF SUGGESTS REMOVING THE BLACK OLIVE TREES ALONG
 THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE THAT HAVE BEEN SEVERELY PRUNED
 IN THE PAST AND REPLACING WITH APPROPRIATE TREES
 RELATIVE TO THE OVERHEAD POWER LINES. TREES ALONG THE
 EAST PROPERTY LINE SHOULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED FOR
 REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT WITH AN APPROPRIATE SPECIES FOR
 UNDER THE POWER LINES.
  
 5. A LANDSCAPE BUFFER IS REQUIRED WITH A HEDGE AND
 TREES AT 30 FOOT SPACING FOR ALL PERIMETERS OF THE SITE
 PER SECTION 94-443(B). REQUIRED BUFFER TREES MAY BE
 PLANTED FURTHER INTO THE PROPERTY TO ALLOW LARGER
 SPECIES TO BE PLACED FARTHER AWAY FROM THE POWER LINES.
 ALL BUFFERS MUST BE ADDRESSED AT THIS TIME WITH HEDGES
 AND REQUIRED TREES. NONCONFORMING AREAS MUST HAVE THE
 HEDGE REPLACED.
  
 6. MORE INFORMATION IS NEEDED ON THE EXPLANATION FOR
 THE UNITY OF TITLE AND COMBINING LOTS. ANY
 MODIFICATIONS TO THE PARKING WOULD REQUIRE A SEPARATE
 PERMIT.
  
 7. THERE ARE NON-CONFORMING LANDSCAPE ISLANDS IN THE
 EASTERN PARKING LOT THAT ARE MISSING REQUIRED TREES,
 AND THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED AT THIS TIME.
  
 8. MAKE THE FOLLOWING CORRECTIONS TO THE PLANT LIST:
 ? BISMARCKIA MUST MEET MINIMUM 8 FOOT CT.
 ? LIGUSTRUM CANNOT BE COUNTED UNDER THE TREE CATEGORY
 IF NOT MEETING THE MINIMUM 12 FOOT HEIGHT.
 ? STAFF SUGGESTS CHANGING FOXTAIL PALMS TO A DIFFERENT
 SPECIES, AS THEY ARE VERY HIGH IN WATER AND FERTILIZER
 DEMAND AND WILL FAIL IF NOT GIVEN THESE RESOURCES. NOT
 LOW WATER USAGE OR DROUGHT TOLERANT.
  
  
 9. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 94-445 L. PLANT
 SPECIES. A MINIMUM OF 60 PERCENT OF PLANT MATERIAL
 ADDED SHALL BE FLORIDA NATIVE OR DROUGHT TOLERANT
 SPECIES SELECTED FROM THE CITY LIST OR THE LIST OF
 SPECIES IN THE MOST RECENT EDITION OF SOUTH FLORIDA
 WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT WATERWISE SOUTH FLORIDA
 LANDSCAPES. PROVIDE THE ACTUAL PERCENTAGE BASED ON THE
 PLANT LIST.
  
 10. SEPARATE PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY HARDSCAPE
 PROPOSED SUCH AS THE LARGE PATIO AREA AT THE WEST SIDE
 OF THE BUILDING AS SHOWN ON THE LANDSCAPE PLAN.
 IRRIGATION, FENCING, LIGHTING, SEALCOATING /RESTRIPING
 WILL REQUIRE SEPARATE PERMITS.
  
 CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL
 1. PRIOR TO THE REMOVAL OR RELOCATION OF ANY TREES ON
 THE PROPERTY, A TREE ALTERATION PERMIT SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE DEVELOPMENT
 SERVICES DEPARTMENT, PLANNING DIVISION.
