 RESPONSE LETTER WAS NOT PROVIDED. COMMENTS #1 & 2 FROM
 THE 1ST REVIEW COPIED BELOW NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.
  
 1) PROVIDE PLUMBING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS- SEC.
 107.2.1 WPB. PLEASE INCLUDE A SCOPE OF WORK OUTLINE AND
 A PLUMBING FIXTURE AND APPLIANCE SCHEDULE ON THE PLAN.
  
 2) SHEETS A-1 & A-2 NOTE #21: THE ARCHITECT HAS
 CLASSIFIED THE PROJECT AS A LEVEL II ALTERATION FBC EX.
 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SEC. 806.1- ACCESSIBILITY COMPLIANCE
 IS REQUIRED. BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CODE SECTIONS IN
 THE FBC ACC IT APPEARS A MINIMUM OF ONE APARTMENT SHALL
 CONTAIN AN ACCESSIBLE KITCHEN AND BATH- SECS.
 233.3.4.2, 233.3.1.1, 233.3.1.2 809.2- 809.5, 804.1-
 804.6.6, AND 603.1- 610.4. PLEASE REVIEW THE CODE
 SECTIONS AND REVISE THE DRAWINGS AND DETAILS TO SHOW
 COMPLIANCE.
  
 NEW COMMENTS BASED ON RESUBMITTED PLANS.
  
 1) COVER SHEET C-1: REVISED GEN. NOTE INDICATING THE
 PROJECT AS A REPAIR PER SEC. 202 OF THE FBC EX IS NOT
 CORRECT. THE PROJECT IS DEFINED AS A LEVEL-1
 ALTERATION- SEE SEC. 602.1 FBC EX. LEVEL 1 ALTERATIONS
 INCLUDE THE REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT OR THE COVERING OF
 EXISTING MATERIALS, ELEMENTS, EQUIPMENT, OR FIXTURES
 USING NEW MATERIALS, ELEMENTS, EQUIPMENT, OR FIXTURES
 THAT SERVE THE SAME PURPOSE. THE SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT
 INCLUDES REPLACEMENT OF WINDOWS AND DOORS, AND COMPLETE
 UPGRADES TO KITCHENS, BATHS, INTERIOR FINSIHES,
 FIXTURES, APPLIANCES, AND ELECTRICAL LIGHTING ETC.
 PLEASE CORRECT THE DESIGN CRITERIA- SEC. 107.2.1 WPB.
  
 2) NEW SHEET A-3.1: THE NEW PLAN SHEET A-3.1 IS LABELED
 AS FIRST FLOOR ACCESSIBLE UNIT. PLEASE PROVIDE THE
 BASIS OF DESIGN FOR THE UNIT- FBC ACC, OR THE FAIR
 HOUSING ACT DESIGN MANUAL. INDICATE WHICH AGENCY- HUD
 OR OTHER IS REQUIRING THE UNIT TO BE ACCESSIBLE. REFER
 TO SEC. 202.3 FBC ACC ALTERATIONS: WHERE EXISTING
 ELEMENTS OR SPACES OR COMMON AREAS ARE ALTERED, EACH
 ALTERED ELEMENT, SPACE OR AREA SHALL COMPLY WITH THE
 APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF CHAPTER 2 AND SECTION
 201.1.1.
  
 EXCEPTION 3. RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNITS NOT REQUIRED TO
 BE ACCESSIBLE IN COMPLIANCE WITH A STANDARD ISSUED
 PURSUANT TO THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OR
 SECTION 504 OF THE REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973, AS
 AMENDED, SHALL NOT BE REQUIRED TO COMPLY WITH 202.3.
  
 A COMPLETE REVIEW FOR THE ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM CANNOT BE
 COMPLETED AT THIS TIME UNTIL DESIGN CRITERIA IS
 PROVIDED. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER EITHER THE FBC ACC OR
 THE FDHA MANUAL , A 30X48-INCH CLEAR FLOOR SPACE
 POSITIONED FOR A PARALLEL APPROACH IS REQUIRED FOR THE
 SHOWER- SEE SECS. 608.2.2, 608.2.2.1 FBC ACC, AND PAGES
 7.56- 7.59 FHDA MANUAL.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A RESPONSE
 LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE CITY
 RE-SUBMITTAL FORM.
