 TABLE R301.5, SEC. R311.7.8 AND SEC. R312.1

 NOTE: IF THIS IS A DEFERRED SUBMITTAL, THEN SPECIFY THE
 DESIGN GUIDELINES REQUIRED BY TABLE R301.5, SEC.
 R311.7.8 AND SEC. R312.1 AND CLEARLY SPECIFY ON PLANS
 THAT SHOP DRAWINGS NEED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW
 PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. ALL SHOP DRAWINGS TO BE REVIEWED
 BY THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL
 TO THIS OFFICE.
  
 RESPONSE:
 REPEAT COMMENT. NOT ADDRESSED. ENGINEER'S NOTE ON PLANS
 STATING "GRASPABLE ALUMINUM GUARDRAIL INSTALLED AS PER
 MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS & AS PER CODE" IS NOT
 ACCEPTABLE. IF ENGINEER IS NOT DESIGNING THE GUARDRAIL,
 THEN HE NEEDS TO SPECIFY ALL THE DESIGN GUIDELINES AS
 REQUESTED ABOVE NOT CITING THE CODE AS A WHOLE OR IN
 PART. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.

 9- WINDOW FALL PROTECTION SHALL BE PROVIDED ON SECOND
 FLOOR WINDOWS WHERE THE TOP OF THE WINDOW SILL OF AN
 OPERABLE WINDOW IS LOCATED LESS THAN 24" ABOVE THE
 FINISHED FLOOR . SEC. R312.2 FBC RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: CLEARLY INDICATE THE WINDOW SILL HEIGHT OF SECOND
 FLOOR WINDOWS AND SPECIFY TYPE OF WINDOW FALL
 PROTECTION IF REQUIRED.
  
 RESPONSE:
 REPEAT COMMENT. RESPONSE LETTER STATES THAT "IMPACT
 RATED WINDOWS MEET ALL WINDOW FALL PROTECTION
 REQUIREMENTS". THIS STATEMENT IS INCORRECT. IMPACT
 RATED WINDOWS AND WINDOW FALL PROTECTION ARE TWO
 DIFFERENT THINGS. ENGINEER OF RECORD TO READ SEC.
 R312.2 FBC RESIDENTIAL AND COMPLY AS REQUESTED.

 PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY FAC 61G20-3.001

 C) TERRACE FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT DESIGNED TO RECEIVE
 PAVERS A SPECIFIED ON DETAIL 1/S-0 ON SHEET S100.

 12-VALUATION DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION IS TOO
 LOW BASED ON ALL SCOPE OF WORK TO BE DONE. VALUATION TO
 INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS, CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND
 PROFIT AND DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 109.3 CITY AMENDMENTS. REVISE VALUATION TO INCLUDE
 COMPLETE SCOPE OF WORK OR PROVIDE COMPLETE BREAKDOWN
 INCLUDING DESIGN PROFESSIONAL FEES FOR BUILDING
 OFFICIAL APPROVAL.
  
 RESPONSE:
 REPEAT COMMENT. VALUE OF $47,300 STILL WAY TOO LOW FOR
 ALL THE SCOPE OF WORK SHOWN ON PLANS AND FOR DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING, A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE
 ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
