 NOTICE: THIS PROJECT IS LOCATED IN A SPECIAL FLOOD
 HAZARD AREA (SFHA). THE STRUCTURE IS LOCATED WITHIN TWO
 AE FLOOD ZONES WITH BASE FLOOD ELEVATIONS (BFE) OF
 6'0"NAVD AND 7'0" NAVD. THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 (THROUGH ORDINANCE NO. 4729-17) REQUIRES AN ADDITIONAL
 24 INCHES OF FREEBOARD. THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION
 (DFE) SHALL BE AT OR ABOVE 9'0"NAVD.

 SECTION 4: THE CODE OF ORDINANCES IS HEREBY AMENDED AT
 CHAPTER 18, BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS, ARTICLE
 II, BUILDING CODE, TO ADD SECTION 18-33, TECHNICAL
 AMENDMENTS TO FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, RESIDENTIAL, WHICH
 SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS:
  
 SEC. 18-33 - TECHNICAL AMENDMENTS TO FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, RESIDENTIAL.
 R322.2.1 ELEVATION REQUIREMENTS.
 1. BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN FLOOD HAZARD AREAS NOT
 DESIGNATED AS COASTAL A ZONES SHALL HAVE THE LOWEST
 FLOORS ELEVATED TO OR ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION
 PLUS TWO FEET OR THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION, WHICHEVER
 IS HIGHER.
  
 1. NOTE ON PLAN PAGE C-1 STATES "EQUIPMENT SHALL BE AT
 OR ABOVE 8.00' NAVD". EQUIPMENT SERVICING THE BUILDING
 SHALL BE AT OR ABOVE THE DFE ELEVATION OF 9.00' NAVD.
 PLEASE CORRECT.
 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN FLOOD HAZARD AREAS NOT
 DESIGNATED AS COASTAL A ZONES SHALL HAVE THE LOWEST
 FLOORS ELEVATED TO OR ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION
 PLUS TWO FEET OR THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION, WHICHEVER
 IS HIGHER.
  
 2. PRODUCT APPROVAL FL 5822-R7 FOR SMART VENTS HAS
 EXPIRED.
 1.PROVIDE A COPY OF THE CURRENT FLORIDA PRODUCT
 APPROVAL FOR THE PROPOSED SMART VENTS.
 FL PRODUCT APPROVALS SHALL INCLUDE THE COVER SHEETS,
 EVALUATION REPORT AND INSTALLATIONS INSTRUCTIONS.
 FBC 107.3.4 PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THOSE
 PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY FAC RULE 9N-3 REVIEWED
 AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD.
 NOTE: DESIGNER SHALL SELECT MODEL OF SMART VENT TO BE
 INSTALLED.
  
 3. IDENTIFY THE SMART VENT MODEL TO BE INSTALLED NEXT
 TO THE PEDESTRIAN GARAGE DOOR.
 107.2 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS107.2.1 THROUGH
 107.2.5.
  
 4. PROVIDE A STRUCTURAL DETAIL OF THE UNDER-SLAB
 CHANNELS CONNECTING THE SMART VENTS TO THE GARAGE FLOOR
 AREA. INCLUDE A DETAIL OF HOW THE CHANNEL COMMUNICATES
 WITH THE GARAGE,
 107.2 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS107.2.1 THROUGH
 107.2.5.
  
 REF. PLAN PAGE A104 FOR THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS:
 5. BASED ON THE RECESSED FLOOR DESIGN, THE SCREENING
 ROOM WILL BE AT 7.00' NAVD. THE LOWEST FLOOR SHALL BE
 AT OR ABOVE THE BFE PLUS 2.00' PER R322.2.1. FF ELEV.
 SHALL BE 9.00' NAVD.
 BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES IN FLOOD HAZARD AREAS NOT
 DESIGNATED AS COASTAL A ZONES SHALL HAVE THE LOWEST
 FLOORS ELEVATED TO OR ABOVE THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION
 PLUS TWO FEET OR THE DESIGN FLOOD ELEVATION, WHICHEVER
 IS HIGHER.
  
 PLEASE NOTE THAT SUBMITTAL OF ADDITIONAL AND/OR REVISED
 MATERIALS MAY RESULT IN NEW PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A RESPONSE
 LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE CITY
