 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE SUBMITTED FLOOR PLAN IS LIGHT, SMUDGED, VERY
 HARD TO READ. 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION
 SECTION 107.2.1.3. QUALITY OF PLANS. BUILDING PLANS
 SHALL BE DRAWN TO A 1/8TH INCH SCALE ON SUBSTANTIAL
 PAPER. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY ESTABLISH THROUGH
 DEPARTMENT POLICY OTHER STANDARDS FOR THE PLANS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CONFORMITY TO ITS
 RECORD RETENTION PROGRAM. THIS POLICY MAY INCLUDE SUCH
 THINGS AS MINIMUM SIZE, SHAPE, CONTRAST, CLARITY, OR
 OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO RECORD MANAGEMENT. ELECTRONIC
 MEDIA MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE ARCHIVE REQUIREMENTS
 OF FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 2) FLOOR PLAN AND SOFFIT DETAIL. IF THE CONTRACTOR
 DRAWS THE FLOOR PLAN SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH CERTIFICATION
 BY CONTRACTOR. 107.3.4.3. THE CONTRACTOR (QUALIFIER)
 THAT CREATED / DREW THE SET OF PLANS WILL NEED TO
 IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS THE AUTHOR OF THE PLANS. PLEASE
 PRINT YOUR NAME, SIGN YOUR NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER FOR
 THE TRADE YOU ARE LICENSED IN AND PLANS DRAWN.
  
 3) SOFFIT DETAIL, WITH THE SUBMITTED FLOOR PLAN
 ELIGIBLE PLEASE PROVIDE THE LOCATION OF SOFFIT IN
 RELATION TO THE FLOOR PLAN. 2ND. THE SOFFIT DETAIL DOES
 NOT INDICATE THE DROP OF THE SOFFIT, THE VERTICAL
 CLEARANCE TO FINISH FLOOR NOR THE DEPTH/ HORIZONTAL
 DISTANCE OF THE SOFFIT. MISSING THE TYPE OF SOFFIT
 FINISH MATERIAL AND THICKNESS. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 4) THE FLOOR PLAN DOES NOT INDICATE THE AREAS THAT WILL
 RECEIVE THE NEW FLOORING, CROSS HATCH ON THE FLOOR PLAN
 AND PROVIDE THE SQUARE FOOT AREA. THE FLOOR PLAN NOR
 PERMIT APPLICATION DOES NOT INDICATE WHAT TYPE OF
 FINISH FLOOR SURFACE IS TO BE INSTALLED. THE CORELUXE
 PREMIUM UNDERLAYMENT SUBMITTED IS ONLY A SALES BROCHURE
 NOT A TEST REPORT.
  
 FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE,
 STONE, MARBLE, VINYL LAMINATE FLOORING AND WOOD
 FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT
 TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND
 MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE
 STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO
 DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 4A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 4B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 4C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 LVT & LPT LUXURY VINYL TILE. FLOOR FINISH
 CLASSIFICATION AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 804.2
 CLASSIFICATION AND 804.3 TESTING AND IDENTIFICATION OF
 THE 2020 FBC-B.
  
 5) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
