 SEC. 702.6 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW WORK SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE MATERIALS AND METHODS REQUIREMENTS IN
 THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.

 1. FBC 107, FBC EB 702.4, REVISE PLAN TO PROVIDE THE
 FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
 ROOM DESIGNATION (FOR INSTANCE, BEDROOM, KITCHEN, ETC.)
 TYPE OF WINDOW CURRENTLY IN THE OPENING
 TYPE OF WINDOW PROPOSED
  
 RESPONSE:
 REPEAT COMMENT. REVISED PLAN DOESN'T PROVIDE THE
 REQUIRED INFORMATION:
  
 WINDOW REPLACEMENT
 A)PROVIDE FLOOR PLAN OR SKETCH IDENTIFYING THE ROOMS
 WHERE WINDOWS ARE GOING TO BE REPLACED. FOR EXAMPLE:
 BEDROOM, LIVING AREA, ETC. THIS IS REQUIRED TO IDENTIFY
 THE BEDROOMS AND VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE EGRESS
 REQUIREMENTS. SEE COMMENT #2 BELOW. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 B)SPECIFY SIZE AND TYPE OF EXISTING WINDOW AND SIZE AND
 TYPE OF PROPOSED WINDOWS TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 EGRESS REQUIREMENTS OF SEC. 702.5 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING.
  
 ADDITIONAL COMMENT TO BE CONSIDERED:
 2-SECOND FLOOR WINDOW OPENING CONTROL DEVICES: WINDOW
 OPENING CONTROL DEVICES IN WINDOW REPLACEMENT ARE
 REQUIRED WHEN THE TOP SILL OF THE WINDOW OPENING IS AT
 A HEIGHT LESS THAN 24 INCHES (610 MM) ABOVE THE
 FINISHED FLOOR.
 WINDOW OPENING CONTROL DEVICES NEED TO COMPLY WITH ASTM
 F2090.
 CLEARLY SPECIFY IF THERE ARE ANY WINDOWS WHERE THE
 WINDOW SILL IS LESS THAN 24" ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR.
 SEE SEC. 702.4 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE.
 NOTE: THIS SECTION ALSO APPLIES TO OPERABLE WINDOWS
 WHERE WINDOW SILL IS GREATER THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE GRADE
 OR OTHER SURFACE BELOW.
