 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 2ND REVIEW
 DATE: TUES. SEPT. 21ST/2021
 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2ND REQUEST. THE PERMIT APPLICATION DOES NOT
 INDICATE IF THIS STRUCTURE IS TO BE CONSIDERED
 TEMPORARY IN NATURE OR TO BE CONSIDERED A PERMANENT
 STRUCTURE. 2020 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATION
 SECTION 108.1. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL IS AUTHORIZED TO
 ISSUE A PERMIT FOR TEMPORARY STRUCTURES AND TEMPORARY
 USES. SUCH PERMITS SHALL BE LIMITED AS TO TIME OF
 SERVICE BUT SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR MORE THAN 6
 MONTHS. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL IS AUTHORIZED TO GRANT
 EXTENSIONS FOR DEMONSTRATED CAUSE. PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT
 THE USAGE WILL BE (OCCUPANCY TYPE).
  
 108.2 CONFORMANCE. TEMPORARY STRUCTURES AND USES SHALL
 CONFORM TO THE STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, FIRE SAFETY, MEANS
 OF EGRESS, ACCESSIBILITY, LIGHT. VENTILATION AND
 SANITARY REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE AS NECESSARY TO
 ENSURE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND GENERAL WELFARE.
  
 2) 2ND REQUEST. IF THE STRUCTURE IS GOING TO BE
 PERMANENT THEN THE STRUCTURE WILL NEED TO SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH 108.2 CONFORMANCE. PERMANENT STRUCTURES
 AND USES SHALL CONFORM TO THE STRUCTURAL STRENGTH, FIRE
 SAFETY, MEANS OF EGRESS, ACCESSIBILITY, LIGHT.
 VENTILATION AND SANITARY REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE AS
 NECESSARY TO ENSURE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND GENERAL
 WELFARE.
  
 3) A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER WILL NEED TO ENGINEER AND OR
 CALCULATE ANCHORAGE OF THIS UNIT IN CONFORMANCE WITH
 THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING SECTION 1604.8 ANCHORAGE. THE
 SHEET S-2 NOTES:
  
  
 3A) NOTE 3 GROUND ANCHORS ARE TO HAVE A MINIMUM TENSION
 CAPACITY OF 2,250 LBS, CONTRACTOR TO MANUFACTURERS
 SPECS.
  
 3B) GALVANIZED WIRE ROPE IS TO HAVE A MINIMUM TENSION
 CAPACITY OF 2,250 LBS. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT
 INDICATED THE SIZE OF WIRE ROPE NOR THE TENSILE
 STRENGTH.
  
 3C) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT IDENTIFIED THE TYPE
 OF FASTENERS AT EACH END OF THE WIRE ROPE, NOR THE SIZE
 AND CAPACITY OF FASTENERS, ARE MULTIPLE FASTENERS
 REQUIRED AT EACH END?
  
 1ST REVIEW COMMENTS. BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURE, AND
 PORTIONS THEREOF, SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH ANCHORAGE IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 1604.8.1 THROUGH 1604.8.3 AS
 APPLICABLE. PERMANENT BUILDINGS HAVE FOUNDATIONS, SEE
 1809.4 DEPTH AND WIDTH OF FOUNDATIONS.
  
 4) THE ENGINEER WILL HAVE TO ENGINEER THE ANCHORAGE TO
 THE PROPER WIND ZONE TO KEEP THE STRUCTURE FROM SLIDING
 AND OR TIPPING OVER. 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE 1609.1.1
 DETERMINATION OF WIND LOADS.
  
 5) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 PLEASE NOTE WITH THE LACK OF INFORMATION FOR THIS
 REVIEW, SUBSEQUENT REMARKS MAYBE MADE IN THE NEXT
