 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A-100 DETAIL 2 NOTE # 5 INDICATES NEW FLOORING
 IN THE LIVING ROOM, MATER BEDROOM & GUEST BEDROOM, TYPE
 OF FLOORING TO BE SPEC?D WOOD FLOORING WITH ACOUSTICAL
 UNDERLAYMENT. IN THE MASTER BATH AND GUEST BATH THE
 NOTE D-3 INDICATES TO REMOVE ALL FLOORING AND BASE NEW
 WORK STATES ALL NEW FLOOR AND WALL TILE IN SHOWER. THIS
 REVIEW THERE WERE NO TESTING REPORTS SUBMITTED FOR
 EITHER THE WOOD FLOORING & UNDERLAYMENT NOR FLOOR TILE
 AND ASSOCIATED UNDERLAYMENT.
 FLOOR INSULATION/ UNDERLAYMENT (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE,
 STONE, MARBLE, VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE
 HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO
 THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS
 LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH
 CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS FOR TYPE I AND OR
 TYPE II BUILDINGS SHOWING COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 1A) FBC-B 2020 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E-492.
  
 1B) FBC-B 2020 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND. WALLS,
 PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES SEPARATING
 DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM PUBLIC OR
 SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED) FOR
 AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E
 90.
  
 1C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2020 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 2) SHEET A-100 DETAIL 2 NOTE # INDICATES A NEW
 WATERPROOF WATER MEMBRANE BEHIND THE WALL TILE. PLEASE
 SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE.
 MATERIALS USED AS A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND
 SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER
 AREAS SHALL BE OF MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S
 RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD
 SHALL BE USED AS A BASE FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET
 COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND THE MANUFACTURE?S
 RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 3) SHEET A-100 DETAIL # 4 SHOWS A DROPPED CEILING/
 SOFFIT WITH NOTES C1 & C2 REFERRING TO SHEET A-100
 DETAIL #5. DETAIL #5 SHOWS A DROPPED HEADER AND A
 FLOATING DROPPED CEILING, THE BACKER BOARD IS NOT
 ATTACHED TO THE DROPPED HEADER, NOR IS THE TYPE OF
 BACKER BOARD CALLED OUT. THIS DETAIL LACKS THE
 FOLLOWING INFORMATION, FINISH ELEVATION, GIVEN HEIGHT
 OF THE EXISTING DROPPED CEILING BUT NOT NEW DROPPED
 FLOATING CEILING. THE TYPE OF BACKER BOARD AND
 THICKNESS IS NOT GIVEN. THE TYPE OF MATERIAL USED TO
 HANG FROM THE EXISTING FLOOR/ CEILING ASSEMBLY, ANCHORS
 TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY, CENTER TO CENTER
 FRAMING MEMBERS AND FLOATING DROPPED CEILING ASSEMBLY
 ANCHORS AND SPACING TO THE FRAMING MEMBERS. 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. SECTION / TABLE
 2508.1 ASTM C754.
  
 4) SHEET A100 THE GUEST BATH INDICATES THE REMOVAL OF A
 TUB AND INSTALLATION OF NEW SHOWER AND NEW DRAIN
 LOCATION.
  
 4A) POST TENSION SLAB/ NEW HOLES. THE PLAN IS SILENT AS
 IF THE LOCATION OF THE EXISTING TUB DRAIN IS GOING TO
 BE REUSED IN THE SAME LOCATION. IF NOT, THEN THE FLOOR
 SLAB WILL NEED TO BE X-RAYED TO FIND THE POST TENSION
 CHORD LOCATIONS. 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS
 REQUIRED.
  
 4B) THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). IF A NEW FLOOR PENETRATION IS MADE FOR THE
 FUTURE SHOWER DRAIN, THEN YOU NEED TO SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2020 FBC-B SECTION 714.5.1.2.
 THROUGH-PENETRATIONS FIRESTOP SYSTEMS (HORIZONTAL
 ASSEMBLIES). THROUGH PENETRATIONS SHALL BE PROTECTED BY
 A THROUGH PENETRATION FIRESTOP SYSTEM INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E814 OR UL 1479. THE SYSTEM SHALL
 HAVE AN F RATING / T RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 1 HOUR BUT
 NOT LESS THAN THE REQUIRED RATING OF THE FLOOR
 PENETRATED.
  
 4C) 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS
 A BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 4D) 2020 FBC-B SHOWERS & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER
 COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS
 SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A
 HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET.
  
 4E) SHEET A-100 DETAIL 4 DROPPED CEILING WORK THERE IS
 A NOTE INDICATING EXISTING SPERINKLER SYSTEM TO REMAIN.
 NO SPRINKLER WORK PLEASE SHOW THE FIRE SPRINKLER
 LOCATIONS IN THE GUEST BEDROOM AND DROPPED CEILING
 AREA. NOTE IS THE ARE CEILING OR SIDE WALL MOUNT.
 107.2.1.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. IF WORK
 IS REQUIRED, FOR LESS THAN 50 HEADS A FIRE SPRINKLER
 CONTRACTOR CAN DRAW THE PLANS IF THEY ARE THE ONES
 GETTING THE FIRE SPRINKLER PERMIT. L
  
 5) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
