 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2020 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) THE ORIGINAL BUSINESS TAX LICENSE INDICATES THIS
 BUSINESS WAS ESTABLISHED 09/14/2017. YES, A BUSINESS
 TAX RECEIPT WAS ESTABLISHED BUT WE DO NOT SEE THERE WAS
 EVER A PERMIT PULLED TO CHANGE THE OCCUPANCY/ USAGE FOR
 A CHILD CARE FACILITY WITHIN A DWELLING FOR 5 OR FEWER
 PERSONS WAS EVER APPLIED FOR OR ISSUED.
 SECTION 310.5.1 OF THE 2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE
 REFERENCES THE 2020 FBC-RESIDENTIAL CODE PROVIDE AN
 AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER SYSTEM IS INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH SECTION 903.3.1.3 (2020 FBC-BUILDING CODE) OR
 P2904 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, RESIDENTIAL CODE.
 THIS IS A REQUIREMENT FOR 5 OR FEWER PERSONS RECEIVING
 CARE THAT ARE WITHIN A SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING.
  
 2) THE REQUEST TO UPGRADE THE LICENSE UP TO 12 PERSONS
 NO LONGER IS UNDER THE SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENCE
 REQUIREMENTS. DAY CARE OCCUPANCIES ARE CONSIDERED
 SPECIAL OCCUPANCIES AND FOUND IN CHAPTER 4 SECTION
 466.1- 466.10.5.5.1 AND ARE TO BE CONSIDERED A NEW
 OCCUPANCY TYPE. PLANS WILL NEED TO BE DRAWN UP SHOWING
 HOW ALL OF THE CODE REQUIREMENTS ARE GOING TO BE MET.
  
 3) THE OTHER ISSUE WITH DAYCARE FACILITIES IS THE CODE
 REQUIREMENTS FOUND UNDER SECTION 305.2 GROUP E, DAY
 CARE FACILITIES. THIS GROUP INCLUDES BUILDINGS AND
 STRUCTURES, OR PORTION THEREOF OCCUPIED BY MORE THAN 5
 CHILDREN OLDER THAN 2 ? YEARS OF AGE WHO RECEIVE
 EDUCATIONAL, SUPERVISION OR PERSONAL CARE SERVICES FOR
 FEWER THAN 24 HOURS PER DAY. THIS SECTION WILL BRING
 YOU TO THE SPECIALTY CHAPTER 4 SECTION 468
 REQUIREMENTS.
  
 4) THE SUBMITTED PLANS THERE IS NOT SUFFICIENT
 INFORMATION TO DO A COMPLETE REVIEW. A TRANSMITTAL
 LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH
 A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE
 SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE
 FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR
 YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
 PLEASE NOTE WITH THE LACK OF INFORMATION FOR THIS
 REVIEW, SUBSEQUENT REMARKS MAYBE MADE IN THE NEXT
 REVIEW CYCLE.

 WORKING FROM CITY HALL.
