 ALL NEW WORK SHALL COMPLY WITH THE MATERIALS AND
 METHODS REQUIREMENTS IN THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE.
 NOTE: SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE.

 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 4-PROVIDE SOIL TEST REPORT AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R401.4
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 RESPONSE:
 THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE IN THE FOOTING SIZES
 RECOMMENDED ON THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT SUBMITTED AND
 FOOTING SIZES SPECIFIED ON THE STRUCTURAL PLANS.
 ENGINEER OF RECORD TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. ENGINEER TO
 ACKNOWLEDGE REVIEW OF GEOTECHNICAL REPORT AND RESPOND
 TO THE REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS. REVISE FOOTING AS
 REQUIRED. SEC. 107.2.1.2 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 NOTE: FOOTINGS NEED GO BE AT LEAST 12 INCHES BELOW
 GRADE. BASED ON THE EXTERIOR ELEVATIONS IT LOOKS LIKE
 THE EXISTING HOUSE IS RAISED ABOVE FINISHED GRADE. IT
 LOOKS LIKE THE DEPTH OF THE FOOTING NEEDS TO BE REVISED
 TO MEET THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT RECOMMENDATIONS AND THE
 12 INCHES BELOW FINISHED GRADE REQUIREMENT.
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 5- NEW FRONT BEDROOM ON SHEET A.1:
 EGRESS WINDOW #3 DOESN'T COMPLY WITH THE MINIMUM CLEAR
 HEIGHT OPENING REQUIRED BY SEC. R310.2.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. REVISE AS REQUIRED.
  
 RESPONSE:
 REPEAT COMMENT. WINDOW SIZE WAS NOT REVISED. SINGLE
 HUNG WINDOW 4'-4"WIDE BY 4'-10" HIGH DOESN'T PROVIDE
 THE 24" CLEAR HEIGHT OPENING. REVISE AS REQUIRED (SEE
 MANUFACTURER'S CATALOGS FOR EGRESS WINDOWS PROPER SIZE)
 OR PROVIDE MANUFACTURER'S CUT SHEET SHOWING THAT 4'-10"
 HIGH SINGLE HUNG WINDOW MEETS THE CLEAR HEIGHT
 REQUIREMENT.
 NOTE: IF INSTALLING IMPACT WINDOWS, THEN TAKE INTO
 CONSIDERATION THAT THEY REQUIRE BIGGER FRAMES.

 C)SHUTTERS AND, PROVIDE COMPLETE INSTALLATION SCHEDULE.
 SEE CITY SAMPLE.
 D)ROOF SHINGLES.
