 SPECIFICATIONS SHALL CONTAIN INFORMATION, IN THE FORM
 OF NOTES OR OTHERWISE, AS TO THE QUALITY OF MATERIALS,
 WHERE QUALITY IS ESSENTIAL TO CONFORMITY WITH THE
 TECHNICAL CODES. SUCH INFORMATION SHALL BE SPECIFIC TO
 THE TECHNICAL CODES "CODE SECTIONS SHALL NOT BE CITED
 AS A WHOLE OR IN PART, NOR THE TERM "LEGAL" OR ITS
 EQUIVALENT BE USED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR SPECIFIC

 NEW LOCATIONS FOR 2 SHOWERS AND 1 TUB, BUT THE PLANS
 ARE SILENT AS TO THE TYPE OF BACKER BOARD THAT WILL BE
 INSTALLED?
 2020 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS A
 BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 4) 2020 FBC-B SHOWERS & TUBS 1210.3. SHOWER
 COMPARTMENTS AND BATHTUBS WITH INSTALLED SHOWER HEADS
 SHALL BE FINISHED WITH A NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A
 HEIGHT NOT LESS THAN 72 INCHES ABOVE THE DRAIN INLET.
  
 5) THE FLOOR PLAN ALSO STATES TO INSTALL APPROXIMATELY
 720 SQ. FT. OF NEW CEILING. AGAIN THERE IS NO
 INFORMATION AS TO THE TYPE OF CEILING FRAMING, SPACING
 TYPE OF CEILING FRAMING MATERIAL, THICKNESS OF CEILING
 FINISH MATERIAL AND FASTENER TYPE, LENGTH AND SPACING
 OF FASTENER.
  
 6) NEW COMMENT. THE FLOOR PLAN A-201 THE PROPOSED FLOOR
 PLAN COMMENT # 7 INDICATES NEW FLOOR FINISHES TO BE
 DETERMINED BY THE OWNER. WITH COMMENT 1B NOT BEING
 ANSWERED THIS COMMENT MAY APPLY OR MAY NOT. FLOOR
 INSULATION (FBC-B 2020) FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE, VINYL
 AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND
 UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING
 STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH
 OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/
 NO DROPPED CEILING:
