 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) SHEET AE101 THE FLOOR PLAN INDICATES THE BREAK ROOM
 AS ROOM # 527. WITHIN THE BREAKROOM THERE IS A COUNTER
 AND BREAKROOM SINK. THE FLOOR PLAN DOES NOT SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE FOR
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE, EITHER A FRONT APPROACH OR SIDE
 APPROACH.
 606.2 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE COMPLYING
 WITH 305, POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD APPROACH, AND KNEE
 AND TOE CLEARANCE COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE PROVIDED,
 SEE EXCEPTIONS ALSO, BUT SHOW THE REQUIRED CLEAR FLOOR
 SPACE ON THE FLOOR PLAN.
  
 2) SHEET AE101 THE FLOOR PLAN INDICATES THE BREAK ROOM
 AS ROOM # 527. THIS SHEET INDICATES DETAIL SHEET AE 501
 DETAIL B SHOWS THE BREAK ROOM SINK & BASE CABINETS AT A
 HEIGHT OF 34 INCHES. A CUT SECTION THROUGH THE CABINET
 AE 501 DETAIL 2 SHOWS THERE IS NO SHELVING IN THIS
 CABINET BUT THERE IS A BOTTOM IN THE CABINET. ELEVATION
 B SHOWS A PAIR OF DOORS AT THE SINK WITH NO BOTTOM
 THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN THE PLANS. IF A FRONT
 APPROACH IS TO BE INDICATED, PLEASE ALSO SHOW
 COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 606.5 OF THE 2017
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. EXPOSED PIPES AND SURFACES.
 WATER SUPPLY & DRAINPIPES UNDER LAVATORIES AND SINKS
 SHALL BE INSULATED OR OTHERWISE CONFIGURED TO PROTECT
 AGAINST CONTACT.
  
 3) SHEET AE101 THE FLOOR PLAN INDICATES THE RESTROOM
 526. SHEET AE 701 THE FINISH SCHEDULE INDICATES THE
 RESTROOM WALLS ARE TO HAVE A PAINT GRADE FINISH ON THE
 WALLS.
  
 2017 FBC-B 1210.2.2. WALLS & PARTITIONS. THIS COMMENT
 IS A RESULT OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL INTERPRETATION ON
 06/2020. IN RESTROOMS & SERVICE SINK AREAS EPOXY PAINT
 IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED A SMOOTH HARD, NON-ABSORBENT
 SURFACE.
  
 3A) 1210.2.2 WALLS & PARTITIONS WITHIN 2 FEET OF
 SERVICE SINKS, URINALS, AND WATER CLOSETS SHALL HAVE A
 SMOOTH, HARD, NON-ABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF NOT
 LESS THAN 4 FEET ABOVE THE FLOOR, EXCEPT FOR STRUCTURAL
 ELEMENTS, THE MATERIAL USED IN SUCH WALLS SHALL BE OF A
 TYPE THAT IS NOT ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY MOISTURE.
  
 3B) 2509.1. WET AREAS. SHOWERS AND PUBLIC TOILET WALLS
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 1210.2.
  
 3C) 1210.2. FINISH MATERIALS. WALLS, BASE, FLOORS AND
 PARTITIONS IN TOILET AND BATHROOMS SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTIONS 1210.1 THROUGH 1210.4.
  
 4) IT WOULD APPEAR THERE IS NO WORK TO BE COMPLETED IN
 THE COMMON LOBBY. THIS WHERE THE DRINKING FOUNTAIN IS
 FOUND. IT WOULD APPEAR THE EXISTING DRINKING FOUNTAIN
 IS A SINGLE FOUNTAIN. SHEET AE 702 DOES SHOW A PROFILE
 OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE A SINGLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.
 NEITHER THE DETAIL NOR SINGLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN COMPLY
 WITH TODAYS 2017 ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION. NO FEWER
 THAN TWO DRINKING FOUNTAINS SHALL BE PROVIDED. ONE
 DRINKING FOUNTAIN SHALL COMPLY WITH 602.1 THROUGH 602.6
 AND ONE DRINKING FOUNTAIN SHALL COMPLY WITH 602.7. I DO
 NOT BELIEVE THIS CAN BE ENFORCED AT THIS TIME IF THERE
 IS NO WORK TO BE COMPLETE OUTSIDE OF THE TENANT SPACE,
 ( DRINKING FOUNTAIN IN THE COMMON AREAS), BUT THE
 DETAIL SHOULD EITHER BE REMOVED OR UPDATED FOR FUTURE
 USE. THE PLUMBING PLAN REVIEWER MAY HAVE MORE COMMENTS
 ON THIS MATTER.
  
 5) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
