 PROVIDE WRITTEN RESPONSE TO COMMENTS.
  
 1) THANK YOU FOR PROVIDING THE GRAPHIC SHOWING HOW THE
 SIDEWALK CONNECTION TO THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY WILL BE
 PROVIDED TO THE THREE BUILDINGS THAT WILL REMAIN ON THE
 SITE BOTH DURING CONSTRUCTION AND PRIOR TO THE START OF
 CONSTRUCTION OF PHASE II. ZONING REVIEWED YOUR PROPOSED
 PLAN WITH ROBERT BROWN, CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL, AND IT
 IS NOT APPROVED AS SHOWN. YOU MUST CLEARLY SHOW HOW A
 PEDESTRIAN, INCLUDING ONE COVERED BY THE ADA, CAN
 SAFELY TRAVERSE FROM THE EXISTING SIDEWALK ON THE
 MORSELIFE SIDE OF THE SITE TO THE EXISTING SIDEWALK
 SERVING THE HOMESAFE BUILDINGS. THE ARROWS THAT ARE
 SHOWN ON THE PLAN FORCE THE PEDESTRIAN TO SHARE DRIVE
 LANES WITH VEHICLES, WHICH IS NOT PERMITTED. THE
 PEDESTRIAN MUST BE ABLE TO USE A SIDEWALK OR HAVE A
 PATH THAT IS SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICULAR TRAVEL LANES.
 NOTE: THE MINIMUM TRAVEL LANE WIDTH IS 20 FEET FOR FIRE
 DEPARTMENT ACCESS, SO THE PROPOSED 20 FOOT WIDE
 CONNECTION CANNOT BE NARROWED. THE PEDESTRIAN ROUTE
 MUST BE IN PLACE PRIOR TO THE FENCING OF THE
 CONSTRUCTION SITE.
  
 2) EVEN THOUGH A SEPARATE SITE LIGHTING PERMIT, WITH
 PLANS, IS REQUIRED, ZONING NOTED THAT THE ELECTRICAL
 REVIEWER HAD ADDED A PASS STAMP TO SHEET E 0-1-1 THE
 ELECTRICAL SITE PLAN AND THUS REVIEWED THE PLAN. ZONING
 WILL NOT APPROVE THE PROPOSED PLAN.
  
 A. THE UNDERGROUND DUCT BANK LINES (HIGHLIGHTED BY THE
 GREEN BOXES ON THE ELECTRONIC VERSION OF THE PLAN) MUST
 BE MOVED OUT OF THE LANDSCAPE AREAS AS THEY DIRECTLY
 CONFLICT WITH APPROVED TREE LOCATIONS. THEY CAN BE RUN
 UNDER THE PAVEMENT.
  
 B. THE DUCT BANKS ARE SHOWN COVERED BY COMPACTED EARTH,
 WHICH IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE LANDSCAPE AREAS. THE TREE
 ROOTS WILL NOT PROPERLY GROW IN COMPACTED EARTH.
 ADDITIONALLY, THE TREES NEED A FULL THREE FEET OF COVER
 FOR PROPER ROOT GROWTH, WHICH DOES NOT OCCUR DUE TO THE
 INSTALLATION OF THE MYLAR WARNING TAPE AT TWO FEET IN
 DEPTH.
  
 3) SEPARATE PERMITS WITH PLANS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE
 FOLLOWING:
  
 A. SITE LIGHTING
 B. BICYCLE RACKS
 C. HARDSCAPE
 D. PARKING LOT STRIPING
 E. PERIMETER WALLS AND FENCES
