 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) ADDRESS. PLEASE COORDINATE THE ADDRESS ON THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION AND THE PLANS. THE PERMIT APPLICATION
 STATES THE LOCATION OF THIS PROJECT IS 537 14TH ST.
 WHEREAS THE PLANS HAVE ON THE COVERSHEET AND IN THE
 TITLEBLOCK 514 14TH ST.
 2017 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE W 2017 WEST PALM BEACH
 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE OF
 SUFFICIENT CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND
 EXTENT OF THE WORK PROPOSED.
 2017 FBC-B 501.2 ADDRESS IDENTIFICATION. NEW AND
 EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH APPROVED
 ADDRESS IDENTIFICATION.
  
 2) THE SHEET SP1 UNDER THE BUILDING CODE SUMMARY:
 2A) LIST THE BUILDING AS A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY BUT LIST
 THE ALTERATION AS A LEVEL 2. WHEN A BUILDING OR PORTION
 OF THE BUILDING IS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 THEN YOU USE THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE CHAPTER 10
 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY. SEE SECTION 1001.2.2 IF THE WHO
 BUILDING IS UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY AND
 SECTION 1001.2.2.1 IF ONLY A PORTION OF THE BUILDING IS
 UNDERGOING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY.
  
 2B) THE OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS INDICATED BEING A U
 UTILITY OCCUPANCY. I BELIEVE THAT A F1 OCCUPANCY IS A
 CLOSER FIT THAN A UTILITY OCCUPANCY. THE KEY THING IN
 THE UTILITY OCCUPANCY IS FOUND IN THE 2017 FBC-B
 SECTION 312.1 WHERE THE CODE STATES BUILDINGS AND
 STRUCTURES OF AN ACCESSORY CHARACTER. YOU DO NOT HAVE
 WHERE THIS IS ACCESSORY TO ANOTHER OCCUPANCY. THE
 ACTUAL USAGE OF THE BUILDING IT WOULD APPEAR TO GROW
 HEMP AND POSSIBLY PROCESS THE HEMP INTO VARIOUS
 PRODUCTS. THE LAST KNOWN USE (BUSINESS LICENSE) WAS DNC
 SERVICES BAGGED CONCRETE & MASONRY PRODUCTS OCCUPANCY
 TYPE S-2 LOW-HAZARD.
  
 2C) PLEASE UPDATE PLANS FOR BUILDING AREA & HEIGHT
 CALCULATION FOR THE F1 OCCUPANCY PER 2017 FBC-B TABLE
 504.4 & TABLE 506.2.
  
 2D) PLEASE ALSO UPDATE THE MAXIMUM EXIT ACCESS TRAVEL
 DISTANCE FOR THE F1 OCCUPANCY 2017 FBC-B TABLE 1017.2.
  
 2E) THERE IS NO HEADING FOR THE MAXIMUM COMMON PATH OF
 TRAVEL, PLEASE UPDATE THE PLANS FOR (F) FACTORY
 OCCUPANCY TABLE 1006.2.1.
  
 2F) THE PLANS DO NOT PROVIDE AN OCCUPANT LOAD COUNT PER
 TABLE 1004.1.2 OF THE 2017 FBC-B.
  
 2G) THE SUBMITTED BUILDING CODE SUMMARY DOES NOT
 PROVIDE A PLUMBING FIXTURE COUNT AS REQUIRED UNDER
 TABLE 2902.10 OF THE 2017 FBC-B.
  
 3) SHEET S-4 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET ADA CLEARANCES AND
 MOUNTING HEIGHTS ALL SHOW A +/- IN FRONT OF ALL
 FIXTURES. PLEASE NOTE THAT WITHIN THE FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE BOOK ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE ABSOLUTES WITH THE
 EXCEPTION OF THE WATER CLOSET FROM THE SIDE WALL WHICH
 IS 16 -18 INCHES CENTER LINE AND THE GRAB BARS FOR THE
 WATER CLOSET WHICH ARE 33-36 INCHES TOP OF THE GRASPING
 SURFACE. 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 201 DIMENSIONS.
  
 4) SHEET S-4 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET SHOWS THE PLUMBING
 FIXTURE SCHEDULE BUT THERE IS NO HIGH-LOW DRINKING
 FOUNTAIN INDICATED, NEITHER IS THERE ON THE LIFE SAFETY
 FLOOR PLAN.
 4A) 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. 211.2 MINIMUM NUMBER.
 NO FEWER THAN TWO DRINKING FOUNTAINS SHALL BE PROVIDED.
 ONE DRINKING FOUNTAIN SHALL COMPLY WITH 602.1 THROUGH
 602.6 AND ONE DRINKING FOUNTAIN SHALL COMPLY WITH
 602.7.
  
 4B) PROTRUDING OBJECTS 307.2 PROTRUSION LIMITS 307.2.
 OBJECTS WITH LEADING EDGES MORE THAN 27 INCHES AND NOT
 MORE THAN 80 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR SHALL NOT PROTRUDE
 MORE THAN 4 INCHES HORIZONTALLY INTO THE CIRCULATION
 PATH.
  
 4C) 602.2 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE
 COMPLYING WITH 305, POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD APPROACH,
 AND KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE
 PROVIDED.
  
 4D) SPOUT OUTLETS/ DRINKING FOUNTAINS. 2017 ACCESS.
 CODE. SPOUT OUTLETS SHALL COMPLY WITH:
 602.4 SPOUT HEIGHT. 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH
 FLOOR OR GROUND FOR WHEELCHAIR BOUND INDIVIDUALS.
 602.7 SPOUT HEIGHT FOR THE STANDING PERSONS SHALL BE
 BETWEEN 38 TO 43 INCHES ABOVE FINISH FLOOR.
  
 5) SHEET S-4 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET SHOWS THE PRODUCTION
 AREA WITH THE 300 SQ. FEET AS AN OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR.
 PLEASE REVIEW THE 300-OCCUPANT LOAD FACTOR IS TO BE
 TAKEN WHEN STORAGE AND OR SHIPPING IS TIED TO A
 MERCANTILE OCCUPANCY. THE WAREHOUSE AND SHIPPING
 PORTION OF THE BUILDING DOES NOT PROVIDE INFORMATION AS
 TO WHAT IS STORED THERE, WHAT QUANTITIES, IN RACK
 STORAGE, IN CARDBOARD BOXES, SHIPPING PALLETS.
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. 107.1.2.1.
  
 6) SHEET S-4. THE PRODUCTION AREA IT WOULD BE ASSUMED
 IS FOR HEMP. THE PLANS ARE SILENT S TO WHAT TYPE OF
 CHEMICALS, FERTILIZERS WILL BE STORED ON SITE AND THE
 QUANTITIES. PLEASE PROVIDE THEIR MSDS SHEETS. TO
 DETERMINE COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017 FBC-B TABLE 307.1.1.
  
 7) SHEET S-4. THERE IS A LOBBY LOCATED BETWEEN THE WORK
 AREA AND THE CLEAN VESTIBULE. BOTH DOORS SWING INTO
 EACH OTHER, THEY ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE SECTION 404.2.6 DOORS IN SERIES.
 THE DISTANCE BETWEEN 2 HINGED DOORS OR PIVOTED DOORS IN
 SERIES SHALL BE 48 INCHES MINIMUM PLUS THE WIDTH OF
 DOORS SWINGING INTO THE SPACE. SEE FIGURE 404.2.6.
  
 8) SHEET S-9 INDICATES 5-INCH-THICK ICYNENE CLOSED CELL
 BLOWN INSULATION R-19 OF THE EXISTING ROOF STRUCTURE
 AND WALLS. PLEASE PROVIDE THE ICC REPORT FOR THE
 ICYNENE. PLEASE ALSO PROVIDE HOW THE REQUIREMENTS FOR
 THERMAL BARRIER (2603.4) AND IGNITION BARRIER
 (2603.4.1.6) ARE TO BE MET.
