 DESCRIBES THE RENOVATION AND INTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS INTO
 A NEW FOOD MARKETPLACE. IT WOULD APPEAR THERE IS NO
 FOOD MARKET AS PER SAY A GROCERY STORE BUT MULTIPLE
 FOOD VENDORS ON THE 1ST FLOOR A A2 OCCUPANCY AN A2
 OCCUPANCY AND A NEW VERTICAL ADDITION CREATING A ROOF
 TOP 2ND STORY. PEASE NOTE YES YOU MAY CLAIM A LEVEL 3
 ALTERATION TO THE 1ST FLOOR. PLEASE REVIEW ALL OF THE
 STRUCTURAL REQUIREMENTS FOUND IN THE 2017 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE IN THE STRUCTURAL SECTION 907.1- 907.4.2.
 THE FLOOR PLAN SHOWS THE EXISTING EXTERIOR WALLS BEING
 TERRA-COTTA TILE.
  
 1B) THERE IS ANOTHER ISSUE TO BE CONSIDERED, THE LAST
 KNOWN USE. THE LAST KNOWN USE (BUSINESS TAX/
 OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE) WAS FOR AUTHENTIC PROVENCE INC. A
 MERCANTILE USE WHERE THEY SOLD RETAIL GARDEN
 ACCESSORIES, GARDEN EQUIPMENT, RETAIL SUPPLIES AND
 NURSERY. UNDER THE REQUIREMENTS IN THE2017 EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE FOR A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY FOR A BUILDING
 YOU MUST ALSO SHOW COMPLIANCE FOR SECTIONS 1002 THROUGH
 1012 OF THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE SHALL ALSO APPLY.
 UNDER THE PROJECT DETAILS YOU NEED TO ALSO ADD THE
 SECTION REQUIREMENT FOR CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY.
  
 1C) THE 3RD ISSUE IS THE VERTICAL ADDITION REQUIREMENTS
 FOUND IN THE 2017 FBC-BUILDING CHAPTER 11, 1102.1,
 1102.2 1102.3 1103.2 ADDITIONAL GRAVITY LOADS AND
 1105.1 ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS. SEE THE 2020
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
  
 2) THE COVERSHEET CS-1 VERSES THE LIFE-SAFETY SHEET:
  
 2A) THE 1ST FLOOR OCCUPANT LOAD ANALYSIS IS TAKEN @ 15
 SQ. FT./ OCCUPANT. DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF EACH OF THE
 VENDOR STANDS WHERE THERE IS STANDING ONLY THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD SHOULD BE TAKEN AT 5SQ. FT./ OCCUPANT, TAKING THE
 15 SQ. FT. IS FOR TABLE AND CHAIRS WHICH ARE NOT SHOWN

 THE WORST-CASE SCENARIO HAS TO BE TAKEN SINCE THE 2ND
 FLOOR DOES NOT SHOW A SEATING FLOOR PLAN.
  
 2C) THE COVERSHEET STATES THIS BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
 TYPE TO BE TYPE V-B SPRINKLERED. PLEASE NOTE TO HAVE
 CONSTRUCTION TYPE V-B BUILDING IT IS REQUIRED TO BE A
 SPRINKLERED BUILDING AS REQUIRED BY TABLE 504.4 OF THE
 2017 FBC-B. THIS REVIEW THERE WERE NO PRE-LIMINARY FIRE
 SPRINKLER DRAWINGS FROM THE ARCHITECT. PLEASE PROVIDE
 WHAT AREAS OF THE BUILDING ARE GOING TO BE FIRE
 SPRINKLERED. 1ST FLOOR BELOW CEILING, ABOVE CEILING,
 INTERSTITIAL SPACE BETWEEN ROOF AND 2ND FLOOR FRAMING
 AND WHERE IN THE 2ND FLOOR WILL FIRE SPRINKLERS BE
 PLACED. WILL HERE BE COVERED DINING AREAS ON THE 2ND

 2D)(1) PLEASE NOTE THE OCCUPANT LOAD AS SHOWN ON THE 2
 COVERSHEET IS CURRENTLY LISTED AT 496 OCCUPANTS. WITH
 ANY ADDITIONAL OCCUPANT LOADING EITHER THE 7 SQ. FT./
 OCCUPANT OR THE 5 SQ. FT. / OCCUPANT THIS WILL PUT YOU
 OVER 500 OCCUPANTS CREATING A THRESHOLD BUILDING.

 3A) 109.3.6.1 THRESHOLD INSPECTION PLAN. THE ENFORCING
 AGENCY SHALL REQUIRE A (WRITTEN/ TYPED) SPECIAL
 INSPECTOR TO PERFORM STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS ON A
 THRESHOLD BUILDING PURSUANT TO A STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
 PLAN PREPARED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE STRUCTURAL

 STAIRWAY PROTECTION. THE STAIRWAY SHALL BE SEPARATED
 FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING AS REQUIRED IN
 SECTION 1023.2.
 OPENINGS SHALL BE LIMITED TO THOSE NECESSARY FOR EGRESS
 FROM NORMALLY OCCUPIED SPACES, THIS WOULD NOT BE AN
