 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) ON BOTH THE D1 SHEET AND A1 SHEET THE PLANS SHOW
 WORK TO BE COMPLETED IN THE COMMON AREA. THERE IS A
 NOTE THAT STATES ALL COST ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WORK TO
 BE SEPARATELY PRICED. PLEASE NOTE WORK IN THE COMMON
 AREAS ARE USUALLY OUT OF THE LEASE LINES, CONSIDERED
 COMMON AREAS AND UNDER SEPARATE PERMIT. PLEASE NOTE THE
 WORK CAN BE SHOWN ON THIS PLAN PUT THEN NEITHER PERMIT
 CAN BE ISSUED UNTIL BOTH PERMITS ARE CODE COMPLIANT.
 2017 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATIVE CODE 105.1 PERMITS.
  
 2) SHEET A-3 SHOWS THE DOOR SCHEDULE 22 OF THE 34 DOORS
 SHOWN STATE THAT THEY ARE EXISTING AND DO NOT PROVIDE
 THE WIDTH OF THE DOOR. THE EXISTING DOOR SIZE NEEDS TO
 BE KNOWN TO SEE IF THEY MEET THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS
 AND ACCESSIBILITY MINIMUM WIDTHS.
 2017 ACCESS. CODE 404.2.3. CLEAR WIDTH & SIZE OF DOORS,
 2017 FBC-B 1010.1.1. WHERE THIS SECTION REQUIRES A
 MINIMUM CLEAR WIDTH OF 32 INCHES. THE MINIMUM SIZE OF A
 SWING DOORS IS MEASURED CLEAR OPENING OF THE DOORWAY
 WITH THE SWINGING DOORS SHALL BE MEASURED BETWEEN THE
 FACE OF THE DOOR AND THE STOP, WITH THE DOOR OPEN 90
 DEGREES.
 THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES THE PERMIT VALUE FOR
 THE WORK TO BE ACCOMPLISHED UNDER THIS PERMIT IS
 $68,000.00 DOLLARS OF VALUE. PLEASE REVIEW HOW YOU ARE
 TO MEET DISPROPORTIONATE COST. EITHER THE CONTRACTOR OR
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD ON THEIR LETTERHEAD NEED TO SHOW
 HOW THEY ARE GOING TO SPEND UP TO THE 20%
 DISPROPORTIONATE FUNDS LISTED ($13,600.00 DOLLARS) FOR
 EACH ELEMENT WHERE THE FUNDS ARE BEING SPENT AND IN THE
 ORDER LISTED IN SECTION 202.4.1 DISPROPORTIONATE COST
 OF THE 2017 ACCESSIBILITY CODE. IF CODE COMPLIANCE IS
 MET BEFORE THE VALUE OF WORK $13,600.00 NOTE THE BIG
 QUESTION IS THE DOORS.IS SPENT THEN NO MORE FUNDS NEED
 TO BE SPENT FOR ACCESSIBILITY UPGRADES.
  
 202.4.1. DISPROPORTIONATE COST. ALTERATIONS MADE TO
 PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED
 AREA WILL BE DEEMED DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL
 ALTERATION WHEN THE COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE
 ALTERATION TO THE PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COST THAT MAY
 BE COUNTED AS EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN
 ACCESSIBLE PATH OF TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COST
 ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN
 ACCESSIBLE ROUT TO THE ALTERED AREA; (II) COST
 ASSOCIATED WITH MAKING RESTROOMS ACCESSIBLE, SUCH AS
 INSTALLING GRAB BARS, ENLARGING TOILET STALLS,
 INSULATING PIPES, OR INSTALLING ACCESSIBLE FAUCET
 CONTROLS; (III) COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES, SUCH AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE
 TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT, INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION
 DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV)
 COST ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING AN ACCESSIBLE DRINKING
 FOUNTAIN.
  
 3) PLEASE NOTE BOTH THE D1 SHEET AND A1 SHEET BOTH SHOW
 WORK IN THE EXISTING PRIVATE BATHROOM. 2017 EXISTING
 BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION
 ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE,
 BUILDING AS WELL AS THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE. CURRENTLY
 THIS BATHROOM DOES NOT MEET ANY OF THE ACCESSIBLE
 ELEMENTS OF CHAPTER 6 OF THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE. MUST
 MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SIZE OF THE RESTROOM AND
 BACKING REQUIREMENTS WHICH CURRENTLY IT DOES NOT MEET
 EVEN FOR THE PRIVATE BATHROOM. PLUMBING WILL PROVIDE
 MORE DETAIL ON HOW THEY VIEW A REMODELED PRIVATE
 BATHROOM.
  
 4) SHEET A1 RESTROOMS 124, 130, 131, AND PRIVATE
 BATHROOM 107, NONE ARE DIMENSIONED AS TO VERIFY CODE
 COMPLIANCE WITH CLEARANCES AT WATER CLOSETS. 604.3
 CLEARANCE. CLEARANCES AROUND THE WATER CLOSETS AND IN
 TOILET COMPARTMENTS SHALL COMPLY WITH 604.3 OF THE 2017
 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
 604.3.1. SIZE. CLEARANCE AROUND A WATER CLOSET SHALL BE
 60 INCHES MINIMUM MEASURED PERPENDICULAR FROM THE SIDE
 WALL AND 56 INCHES MINIMUM PERPENDICULAR FROM THE REAR
 WALL. NOTE THE MINIMUM BACK WALL MEASUREMENT SHOULD BE
 7-FOOT 1 INCH.
  
 5) SHEET A-3 ACCESSIBLE DETAILS:
 5A) GRAB BARS ARE DIMENSIONED TO CENTERLINE NOT THE TOP
 OF THE GRIPPING SURFACE. 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE
 SECTION 609.4 POSITION OF GRAB BARS. GRAB BARS SHALL BE
 INSTALLED IN A HORIZONTAL POSITION, 33 INCHES MINIMUM
 AND 36 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR MEASURED
 TO THE TOP OF THE GRIPPING SURFACE, NOT CENTERLINE.
  
 5B) LAV & SINK DETAILS. EXPOSED PIPES. 606.5 EXPOSED
 PIPES AND SURFACES. WATER SUPPLY & DRAINPIPES UNDER
 LAVATORIES AND SINKS SHALL BE INSULATED OR OTHERWISE
 CONFIGURED TO PROTECT AGAINST CONTACT.

 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
