 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
 1ST REVIEW
 DATE: TUES. AUGUST 11TH/ 2020
 ACTION: DENIED
 1) PLANS THAT ARE NOT DESIGNED BY ARCHITECTS OR
 ENGINEERS BUT BY CONTRACTORS MUST COMPLY WITH THE
 FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS. 107.3.4.3 CERTIFICATION BY
 CONTRACTOR. PLEASE NOTE THE EXCEPTION TO ENGINEERED
 PLANS UNDER 471.003(H) ELECTRICAL/ PLUMBING/
 MECHANICAL, 481.229(1)(C) (BUILDING) REQUIRES THE
 CONTRACTOR FOR THAT TRADE THAT WILL BE LICENSED IN THAT
 TRADE, WILL ALSO BE THE CONTRACTOR THAT DESIGNS THE
 SYSTEM UNDER THAT TRADE. THE CONTRACTOR (QUALIFIER)
 THAT CREATED / DRAWN THE SET OF PLANS WILL NEED TO
 IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS THE AUTHOR OF THE PLANS. PLEASE
 PRINT YOUR NAME, SIGN YOUR NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER FOR
 THE TRADE YOU ARE LICENSED IN AND PLANS DRAWN. FOR EACH
 TRADE THE CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESIGN UNDER
 THE TRADE LICENSED IN MUST PRINT THEIR NAME, SIGN THEIR
 NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER, NOTE THESE PLANS APPEAR TO BE
 DRAWN BY ONE INDUVIAL, THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE LICENSED
 AS A BUILDING, ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING CONTRACTOR TO
 SUBMIT ALL THESE TRADES UNDER ONE SHEET.
 2) THE PERSON UPLOADING PLANS AND DOCUMENTS HAS LOADED
 THE DOCUMENTS WRONG. FOR EXAMPLE FOR THEE FLOOR
 UNDERLAYMENTS DO NOT LOAD THEM ONE PAGE AT A TIME. ONE
 TEST ONE FOLDER. THIS GOES FOR ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS, YOU
 MAY NEED TO CONTACT THE LIBRIAN TO SEE IF ALL OF THE
 DOCUMENTS IN THE FILE FOLDER CAN BE ELIMINATED TO START
 OVER.
 107.2.1.3. QUALITY OF PLANS THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY
 ESTABLISH THROUGH DEPARTMENT POLICY OTHER STANDARDS FOR
 THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE
 CONFORMITY TO ITS RECORD RETENTION PROGRAM. THIS POLICY
 MAY INCLUDE SUCH THINGS AS MINIMUM SIZE, SHAPE,
 CONTRAST, CLARITY, OR OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO RECORD
 MANAGEMENT. ELECTRONIC MEDIA MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH
 THE ARCHIVE REQUIREMENTS OF FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 3) OF THE 86 PAGES WHICH WERE LOADED SIDEWAYS PLEASE
 LOAD THEM SO THEY DO NOT NEED TO EACH ONE BE TURNED TO
 REVIEW THE DOCUMENTS.
 107.2.1.3. QUALITY OF PLANS. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY

 FLOOR UNDERLAYMENT IS BEING INSTALLED NOR THE FINISH
 MATERIAL. PLEASE ADD THIS TO THE FLOOR PLAN. 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
 5) IN FINDING THE 2ND PAGE OF ONE OF THE FLOOR
 UNDERLAYMENT REPORTS IT IS FOR THE WRONG FLOOR SYSTEM.
 THE REPORT INDICATES IT IS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE SLAB,
 BAR JOIST A DROPPED CEILING CAVITY OF 14 INCHES WITH 4
 INCHES OF INSULATION IN THE DROPPED CEILING CAVITY AND
 ? IN DRY WALL. THIS BUILDING HAS A 6 INCH CONCRETE SLAB
 ONLY, NO BAR JOIST AND NO DROPPED CEILING THROUGH THE
 WHOLE SUITE.
 FLOOR INSULATION (FBC-B 2017)
 FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE, VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL
 NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR
 ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS AND MEET THE
 QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH OF THE STANDARDS FOR A
 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/ NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 TYPE I AND II BUILDINGS
 5A) FBC-B 2017 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492.
  
 5B) FBC-B 2017 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND.
 WALLS, PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES
 SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM
 PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION
 CLASS (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED)
 FOR AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM
 E 90.
  
 5C) FLAME SPREAD- FBC-B 2017 603.1. EXCEPTION 2.
 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.
  
 FLAME SPREAD INDEX. A COMPARATIVE MEASURE, EXPRESSED AS
 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.
  
 LVT & LPT LUXURY VINYL TILE. FLOOR FINISH
 CLASSIFICATION AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 804.2
 CLASSIFICATION AND 804.3 TESTING AND IDENTIFICATION OF
 THE 2017 FBC-B.
  
 6) A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW
 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
