 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) 2ND REQUEST. THE PERMIT APPLICATION STATES THE WORK
 TO BE ACCOMPLISHED UNDER THE SCOPE OF THIS PERMIT IS
 FOR THE RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING RESTROOM FOR A VALUE
 OF $5,000.00 DOLLARS.
  
 2A) 2ND REQUEST. SHEET A-2 STILL MAKES REFERENCE TO THE
 2014 FBC.
  
 2B) NEW COMMENT. THIS PLAN STATES THAT THE ALTERATION
 LEVEL IS LEVEL II. THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH BUSINESS
 TAX (OLD OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING) SHOWS THIS SPACE BEING
 CARLYLE THERAPY ASSOCIATION WHICH IS A BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCY. A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY IS OCCURRING.
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT MET ALL OF THE
 REQUIREMENTS FOUND UNDER COMMENT 468.1 FOR EDUCATIONAL
 OCCUPANCIES. ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS, THERE IS NO
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE FOR THIS OCCUPANCY GROUP.

 4) SHEET A-2 MAKE REFERENCE TO THIS FACILITY TO BE A
 PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL GRADES K-8TH GRADE. PLEASE BE
 AWARE OF THE 2017 FBC-EXISTING CODE SCOPING
 REQUIREMENTS AND EXCEPTION FOUND UNDER SECTION 101.2.
 EXCEPTION: FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUBLIC EDUCATION AND
 STATE LICENSED FACILITIES, SEE CHAPTER 4 SPECIAL
 OCCUPANCIES OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. THERE IS NO
 EXISTING BUILDING CODE TO GO BY UNDER SPECIAL
 OCCUPANCIES FOUND IN CHAPTER 4. CHAPTER 468 IN ITS
 ENTIRITY HAS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE.
  
 4A)(2) SEMI-COMPLIED. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION
 ON THE PLAN TO DETERMINE CODE COMPLIANCE FOR THE
 REQUIRED NUMBER OF FIXTURES REQUIRED UNDER THE 2017
 FBC-B TABLE 2902.1 FOR EDUCATION. THE SUBMITTED TABLE
 GIVES A OVERALL COUNT BUT NOT BY AGE GROUP SEE THE 2017
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE 604.9 AGES 5-8 AGES 9-12 FOR WATER
 CLOSET CENTERLINE, TOILET SEAT HEIGHT, GRAB BAR HEIGHT
 AND DISPENSER HEIGHT.

 HIGH/ LOW, PLEASE SEE IN THE 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR DRINKING FOUNTAINS. SHEET A-3

 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
