 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET A-1 WHICH LOOKS MORE LIKE AN ELECTRICAL PLAN
 UNDER ELECTRICAL NOTES, NOTE # 5 INDICATES IN BATH # 2
 CHANGE OUT TUB TO SHOWER. THERE IS NO NOTATIONS ON THE
 PLAN AS IF THE PLACEMENT OF THE TUB / SHOWER VALVE IS
 GOING TO BE REPLACED AND WITH WHAT TYPE OF SHOWER
 VALVE? 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2) SHEET A-1 UNDER THE NOTE # 5 INDICATING THE REMOVAL
 OF THE TUB AND INSTALLING A NEW SHOWER THE PLANS DO NOT
 INDICATE THE TYPE OF BACKING BOARD TO BE INSTALLED IN
 THE NEW SHOWER. PLEASE NOTE MR-BOARD NO LONGER MEETS
 THE CODE. PLEASE SHOW HOW COMPLIANCE IS TO BE MET:
 2017 FBC-B 2509.2 BASE FOR TILE. MATERIALS USED AS A
 BASE FOR WALL TILE IN TUB AND SHOWER AREAS AND WALLS
 AND CEILING PANELS IN SHOWER AREAS SHALL BE OF
 MATERIALS LISTED IN TABLE 2509.2 AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH MANUFACTURER?S RECOMMENDATIONS. WATER
 RESISTANT GYPSUM BACKING BOARD SHALL BE USED AS A BASE
 FOR TILE IN WATER CLOSET COMPARTMENT WALLS WHEN
 INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH GA-216 OR ASTM C840 AND
 THE MANUFACTURE?S RECOMMENDATIONS.
  
 3) SHEET A-1 NOTE # 5 INDICATES THE REMOVAL OF THE TUB
 AND PLACEMENT OF A NEW SHOWER. PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH SECTION 1210.2.3 FOR SHOWERS, TILE OR OTHER SMOOTH
 NONABSORBENT SURFACE TO A HEIGHT OF 72 INCHES ABOVE THE
 DRAIN OUTLET.
  
 4) SHEET A-1 ELECTRICAL NOTE # 6 INDICATES NEW DROPPED
 CEILINGS ARE TO BE INSTALLED IN THE DINING AREA,
 BATHROOMS AND KITCHEN.
 THERE IS NO DESIGN GIVEN FOR DROPPED CEILINGS, THE
 CLEAR MINIMUM FINISH HEIGHT FROM FINISH FLOOR TO FINISH
 CEILING MATERIALS (1208.1 2017 FBC-B). THERE IS NO
 CEILING FRAMING INFORMATION GIVEN, TYPE OF CEILING
 FRAMING MATERIAL, SIZE OF THE FRAMING MEMBER AND
 SPACING, THE CLEAR SPAN FOR THE FRAMING MEMBERS, IS
 THERE MID-SPAN RE-INFORCEMENT REQUIRED, IS THERE
 ADDITIONAL WIRE HANGERS REQUIRED FOR SPAN REQUIREMENTS,
 IS THERE SHOTS INTO THE CONCRETE DECK ABOVE, LENGTH OF
 SHOT, AND THICKNESS OF THE FINISH CEILING MATERIAL.
 2017 FBC-B TABLE 2508.1 STEEL FRAMING FOR GYPSUM BOARD
 ASTM C754.
  
 5) THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES TILE FLOORING,
 WHERE IS THE NEW FLOORING TO BE INSTALLED. THE PLANS
 AND APPLICATION ARE SILENT TO WHAT TYPE OF UNDERLAYMENT
 IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED.
 FLOOR INSULATION (FBC-B 2017) FOR TILE, STONE, MARBLE,
 VINYL AND WOOD FLOORING ALL NEED TO HAVE HAD THE SOUND
 UNDERLAYMENT TESTED FLOOR ASSEMBLIES TO THE FOLLOWING
 STANDARDS AND MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS LISTED UNDER EACH
 OF THE STANDARDS FOR A 6 INCH CONCRETE FLOOR ASSEMBLY/
 NO DROPPED CEILING:
 PLEASE PROVIDE ALL THREE TEST REPORTS SHOWING
 COMPLIANCE WITH:
  
 TYPE I AND II BUILDINGS
 5A) FBC-B 2017 1207.3 STRUCTURE-BORNE SOUND.
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES BETWEEN DWELLING UNITS OR
 BETWEEN A DWELLING UNIT AND A PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREA
 WITHIN THE STRUCTURE SHALL HAVE AN IMPACT INSULATION
 CLASS (IIC) RATING OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD
 TESTED) WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492.
  
 5B) FBC-B 2017 1207.2 AIR-BORNE SOUND.
 WALLS, PARTITIONS AND FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLIES
 SEPARATING DWELLING UNITS FROM EACH OTHER OR FROM
 PUBLIC OR SERVICE AREAS SHALL HAVE A SOUND TRANSMISSION
 CLASS (STC) OF NOT LESS THAN 50 (45 IF FIELD TESTED)
 FOR AIR-BORNE NOISE WHEN TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM
 E 90.

 INSULATION INSTALLED BETWEEN A FINISHED FLOOR AND SOLID
 DECKING WITHOUT INTERVENING AIRSPACE SHALL BE ALLOWED
 TO HAVE A FLAME SPREAD INDEX OF NOT MORE THAN 200.

 A DIMENSIONLESS NUMBER, DERIVED FROM VISUAL
 MEASUREMENTS OF THE SPREAD OF FLAME VERSUS TIME FOR A
 MATERIAL TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84 OR UL 723.

 CLASSIFICATION AS REQUIRED IN SECTION 804.2

 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
 THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR
 PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
