 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION.
  
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE DESCRIPTION GIVEN ON THE PERMIT IS VAGUE,
 MONUMENT SIGNS, IS THIS A FACE CHANGE ON A MONUMENT
 SIGN OR A WHOLE NEW MONUMENT SIGN, INCLUDING THE
 FOUNDATION, STRUCTURAL SUPPORT POLE, BASE CABINET AND
 STRUCTURAL FRAMEWORK AND DOUBLE FACED SIGN? 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED. I?M DOING THIS
 REVIEW AS A WHOLE NEW INSTALLATION.
  
 2) THE VALUE OF $6,000.00 DOLLARS IS EXTREMELY LOW FOR
 THE SCOPE OF WORK.
 2017 WEST PALM BEACH AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, CHAPTER 1, ADMINISTRATIVE CODE
 108.3* BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. IF, IN THE OPINION OF
 THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION OF
 BUILDING, ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS,
 MECHANICAL, OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE UNDER
 ESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE
 DENIED. FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS
 AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE TOTAL REPLACEMENT PURPOSES,
 VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL
 REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL, ELECTRICAL,
 PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISHES, NORMAL SITE
 WORK (EXCAVATION AND BACKFILL FOR BUILDINGS),
 ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES, MARKETING COST, OVERHEAD
 AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY LAND VALUE. VALUATION
 REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST PUBLISHED DATA OF
 NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS SERVICES
 (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.) WITH REGIONAL ADJUSTMENTS
 FOR LOCATION AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE
 CONGRESS.
  
 3) THERE ARE NO STRUCTURAL PLANS AND CALCULATIONS FOR
 THE FOUNDATION, SIZE AND DEPTH OF THE FOOTER NOR THE
 STEEL REINFORCEMENT FOR THE FOOTER. THE PLANS DO NOT
 INDICATE THE DIAMETER OF THE STEEL TUBE, WALL
 THICKNESS, EMBEDMENT INTO THE FOOTER NOR CALCULATIONS
 FOR WIND SPEED AND AFFECTED SQ. FOOT AREA OF THE SIGN,
 AND WIND SPEED THE SIGN IS DESIGNED TOO.
  
 107.2.1 INFORMATION ON CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 DIMENSIONED AND DRAWN UPON SUITABLE MATERIAL.
 ELECTRONIC MEDIA DOCUMENTS SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED WHEN APPROVED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
 CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS SHALL BE OF SUFFICIENT
 CLARITY TO INDICATE THE LOCATION, NATURE AND EXTENT OF
 THE WORK PROPOSED AND SHOW IN DETAIL
 THAT IT WILL CONFORM TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE AND
 RELEVANT LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND
 REGULATIONS, AS DETERMINED BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL DATA. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY
 REQUIRE DETAILS, COMPUTATIONS, STRESS DIAGRAMS, AND
 OTHER DATA NECESSARY TO DESCRIBE THE CONSTRUCTION OR
 INSTALLATION AND THE BASIS OF CALCULATIONS.
 4) DESIGN DOCUMENTS FOR WIND WILL NEED TO BE DESIGNED
 BY A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL. 107.1 SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS
 CONSISTING OF CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS, GEOTECHNICAL
 REPORT AND OTHER DATA SHALL BE SUBMITTED IN TWO SETS
 WITH EACH PERMIT APPLICATION. THE CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS SHALL BE PREPARED BY A REGISTERED DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL WHERE REQUIRED BY CHAPTER 471, FLORIDA
 STATUTES & 61G15 FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OR CHAPTER
 481, FLORIDA STATUTES & 61G1 FLORIDA ADMINISTRATIVE
 CODE.
  
 5) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
 COOPERATION.
  
 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
