2020-02-18 04:04:231) THE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THE PLUMBING WORK HAS
 BEEN SUBMITTED BYA GENERAL CONTRACTOR (CGC). THE
 PLUMBING WORK FALLS OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF A GENERAL
 CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE PER FLORIDA STATUTE 489. 105 (3)
 (A); 489.113. SUBMIT A PERMIT APPLICATION FROM A DULY
 LICENSED PLUMBING CONTRACTOR.
 2) THE PERMIT APPLICATION STATES THAT THE EXISTING TUB
 WILL BE CONVERTED TO A NEW SHOWER BUT THE SUBMITTED
 PLANS STATES THAT THE TUB IS TO REMAIN. CLARIFY.
 ****NOTE: THIS BUILDING WAS BUILT AFTER MARCH 13TH,
 1991 AND THEREFORE BUILT IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE FAIR
 HOUSING ACT.THIS UNIT WAS ORIGINALLY DESIGNED AS A
 SPECIFICATION "B" UNIT PER THE FAIR HOUSING ACT
 GUIDELINES IF THE TUB IN THE MASTER BATH IS CONVERTED
 TO A SHOWER, A CLEAR FLOOR SPACE OF 30 INCHES WIDE
 MINIMUM BY 48 INCHES LONG MINIMUM MUST BE PROVIDED AT
 THE SHOWER STALL, PARALLEL TO THE FIXTURE AND FLUSH
 WITH THE CONTROL WALL. THE ONLY FIXTURE THAT IS
 PERMITTED TO OVERLAP THE REQUIRED CLEAR FLOOR SPACE FOR
 THE SHOWER IS A WALL HUNG LAVATORY AND INSTALLED IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAIR HOUSING ACT GUIDELINES.
 3) CLEARLY INDICATE ON THE PLANS IF THE TUB DRAIN IS
 BEING RELOCATED TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW SHOWER IF INDEED
 A NEW SHOWER IS BEING INSTALLED. WPB AMEND. TO FBC SEC.
 107.2.1.
 4) INDICATE ON THE PLANS IF A NEW TUB/SHOWER OR
 INDIVIDUAL SHOWER VALVE IS BEING INSTALLED. IF SO, THE
 VALVE SHALL COMPLY WITH FBC-PLUMBING SECS.424.3, 424.5.
 5) IF THE OWNER DECIDES TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THE
 INSTALLATION OF A SHOWER, THERE IS A BUILDING DIVISION
 FORM THAT MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BY THE OWNER
 AND DESIGNER/ CONTRACTOR AND BE NOTARIZED REGARDING
 COMPLIANCE/NON-COMPLIANCE OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT. I
 HAVE PLACED A BLANK COPY OF THE FORM IN THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION FOLDER FOR THE PERUSAL AND USE OF THE
 RESPECTIVE PARTIES INVOLVED IN THIS REMODEL,
 6) ADDITIONAL BACKING FOR FUTURE GRAB BARS MAY BE
 REQUIRED IN THE WALLS FOR THE NEW SHOWER IN THE MASTER
 BATH.COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENT #6 OF THE FAIR HOUSING ACT
 AAND SUBMIT AN ELEVATION DRAWING SHOWING THE
 REINFORCEMENT AND THE MEASUREMENTS FROM THE FINISH
 FLOOR PER THE FHA. REINFORCING FOR GRAB BARS MUST
 EXTEND THE FULL WIDTH OF BOTH SIDE WALLS AND THE BACK
 WALL. ALSO, SHOW THE WIDTH OF THE REINFORCEMENT.
