 DENIED BY BUILDING
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THE RESPONSE LETTER STATES THAT THE DISTANCE FROM
 THE NORTH WALL OF THE FULLY SPRINKLERED BUILDING TO THE
 CENTER LINE OF THE ALLEY IS 7'-2". BY THE DEFINITION IN
 FBC SECTION 202, THIS IS THE FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE.
 FOR A FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE OF 5 FEET TO LESS THAN
 10 FEET FOR A FULLY SPRINKLERED BUILDING, FBC TABLE
 705.8 LISTS THE AREA OF ALLOWABLE OPENINGS AS 25
 PERCENT OF THE WALL AREA PER STOREY. ITEM #6 OF THE
 RESPONSE LETTER AND SHEET A-2 OF THE PLANS HAVE THE
 ALLOWABLE AREA AS 45 PERCENT. PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 2) THE PROPOSED GLAZING ANALYSIS ON SHEET A-2,
 SPECIFIES THE TOTAL OF NEW GLAZING AND DOES NOT INCLUDE
 EXISTING OPENINGS. WHEN DETERMINING TO PERCENTAGE OF
 ALLOWABLE OPENINGS FOR STOREY OF A BUILDING, YOU ARE
 REQUIRED TO INCLUDE ALL OPENINGS (NEW AND EXISTING),
 EVEN THOSE THAT DON'T HAVE GLAZING. FBC 705.8
  
 3) IN ORDER TO SPEED YOUR PLAN REVIEW, IT IS HELPFUL TO
 PROVIDE A RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM.
