 COMMENTS
 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE: SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE.
  
 1) THIS IS AN ADDITION AND LEVEL 2 ALTERATION (SEC.
 504.1 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING). PLANS SHOW REMOVING
 WINDOW FROM BEDROOM #2 TO ALLOW FOR THE GARAGE
 ENCLOSURE. ACCORDING TO CITY RECORDS PERMIT #14011326,
 THIS WINDOW WAS THE BEDROOM EGRESS WINDOW. SPECIFY THE
 TYPE AND SIZE OF THE OTHER WINDOWS TO REMAIN IN THIS
 BEDROOM TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH EGRESS. SEC. R310.2.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 2) ROOF FRAMING PLAN SHOWS AN ATTIC ACCESS WITH PULL
 DOWN LADDER. IT LOOKS LIKE THE ATTIC IS GOING TO BE
 USED FOR STORAGE. REVISE THE ROOF LIVE LOADS SPECIFIED
 ON THE PROJECT DATA ON SHEET 2.1. NOTE: INCLUDE THE
 ATTIC LIVE LOAD AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R301.5
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL AND CLEARLY SPECIFY THE TOP CHORD LIVE
 AND DEAD LOADS AND THE BOTTOM CHORD LIVE AND DEAD
 LOADS.
  
 3- NEW CORNER COLUMNS SHOWN ON SHEET 2.1 ARE NOT CLEAR.
 ARE THEY C-2 TYPE COLUMNS?. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. CLEARLY IDENTIFY COLUMN TYPE.
  
 4- TYPICAL GABLE END WALL SECTION ON SHEET 5.1: PROVIDE
 COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FASTENERS AT THE TOP
 AND BOTTOM OF 2X6 GABLE END WALL. SEC. R301.2.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 5- SHOW ON PLANS CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS BY ALL THE
 EXISTING BEDROOMS AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R315.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 6- ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO SPECIFY ROOF TILE FASTENING
 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.2.1.1 CITY AMENDMENTS. IF
 SPECIFYING SCREWS, THEN SPECIFY SIZE AND NUMBER OF
 SCREWS. IF SPECIFYING ROOF TILE ADHESIVE, THEN SPECIFY
 PADDY SIZE AND PRODUCT APPROVAL IS REQUIRED.
  
 7- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 (NOTE: THIS MAY BE SUBMITTED LATER AS A DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL. PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION PRIOR TO
 INSTALLATION TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS. ALL PRODUCT
 APPROVALS NEED TO BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY DESIGNER OF
 RECORD PRIOR TO SUBMITTAL)
  
 A) ROOF TILE.
  
 B) ROOF TILE ADHESIVE IF SPECIFIED BY THE ENGINEER OF
 RECORD. SEE ROOF TILE NOA SUBMITTED FOR LISTED
 ADHESIVES. AND CLEARLY MARK PADDY SIZE AS REQUIRED BY
 CITY POLICY FOR ALL ROOFING PERMITS.
  
 C) SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS AS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
  
 D) HURRICANE SHUTTERS IF DOORS AND WINDOWS DON'T HAVE
 IMPACT GLAZING. AND, PROVIDE COMPLETE INSTALLATION
 SCHEDULE. SEE CITY SAMPLE.
  
 E)PRECAST LINTELS AS SPECIFIED ON PLANS.
  
 8- ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS
 (INCLUDING ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS ALREADY SUBMITTED) AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION &
 REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED
