 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET GN-1, BUILDING CODE SUMMARY:
  
 1A) THE ESTIMATED VALUE SEEMS LOW. THIS MAYBE PARTIALLY
 DUE TO THE CLASSIFICATION OF OCCUPANCY AND ALSO TO THE
 BUILDING TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION LISTED. THE DESIGNER
 LISTED THIS BUILDING AS A UTILITY OCCUPANCY. THE
 OCCUPANCY TYPE IS CLOSER TO AN F1 OR F2 TYPE OF
 OCCUPANCY (2017 FBC-B 306.2 OR 306.3) AND WITH THE
 ASSIGNED RISK CATEGORY ASSIGNED AS RISK CATEGORY IV
 BUILDINGS DESIGNATED AS ESSENTIAL FACILITIES, PUBLIC
 UTILITY FACILITIES, WATER STORAGE FACILITIES AND PUMP
 STRUCTURES TO MAINTAIN WATER PRESSURE THIS BUILDING
 BEING BUILT FOR 180 MPH V-ULT IS BUILT AS A
 CONSTRUCTION TYPE III-B NOT A TYPE V-B. THIS BEING SAID
 THE VALUATION FOR THE PROJECT SEEMS LOW THE OCCUPANCY
 TYPE AND BUILDING TYPE SHOULD BE CHANGED TO REFLECT THE
 ACTUAL USAGE AND BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TYPE USED FOR
 COMPLIANCE WITH A RISK CATEGORY IV STRUCTURE.
  
 1B) 108.3* BUILDING PERMIT VALUATION. IF, IN THE
 OPINION OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED VALUATION
 OF BUILDING, ALTERATION, STRUCTURE, ELECTRICAL, GAS,
 MECHANICAL, OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS TO BE UNDER
 ESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE PERMIT SHALL BE
 DENIED. FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES, VALUATION OF BUILDINGS
 AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE TOTAL REPLACEMENT PURPOSES,
 VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE THE TOTAL

 (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.) WITH REGIONAL ADJUSTMENTS
 FOR LOCATION AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE

 THIS MAIN BUILDING PERMIT WILL INCLUDE THE FEES FOR THE
 MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING & ROOFING PERMITS.
 WHEN THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR COMES IN FOR A BUILDING
 PERMIT WITH THE SIGNED PERMIT APPLICATION FORM BY THE
 QUALIFIER AND OWNER AND BRINGS IN THE LISTED
 SUB-PERMITS M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS SIGNED BY THE
 QUALIFIER OF EACH COMPANY, THEIR INSURANCES AND
 LICENSURE UP TO DATE, THE M-E-P AND ROOFING PERMITS ARE
 FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS COME IN
 LATER THERE WILL BE AN $80.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR
 EACH PERMIT.
  
 ALL OTHER PERMITS FIRE SPRINKLER, FIRE ALARM, RACK
 STORAGE, EXHAUST HOODS, ANSUL SYSTEMS OR ALTERNATIVE
 AUTOMATIC FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS, WALK IN COOLERS &
 FREEZERS, ALL LOW VOLTAGE PERMITS, GENERATORS & FUEL
 TANKS, GAS PERMIT, POOL, JACUZZI AND ASSOCIATED
 SUB-PERMITS, AWNING, SCREEN ENCLOSURES, CANOPY, FENCE,
 LANDSCAPE, IRRIGATION, AUGER CAST PILE AND OR
 FOUNDATION OR STRUCTURE ONLY PERMIT WILL BE SEPARATE
 REVIEWS AND ASSOCIATED FEES WITH EACH PERMIT.
 PLEASE PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED LIST AND SUBTRACT THESE LINE
 ITEMS AND THEIR VALUE FROM THE OVERALL BUILDING VALUE
 STATED ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THIS PROJECT. THE
 REMAINING BALANCE WILL BE AFFECTIVELY THE VALUE OF THE
 BUILDING YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR THIS PERMIT. THE
 BUILDING DEPARTMENT DOES NOT WANT TO COLLECT TWICE FOR

 IN REFERENCING SECTION 1626 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE YOU ARE REFERENCING A SECTION OF THE CODE WHICH IS
 FOR THE HIGH-VELOCITY WIND ZONES WHICH ARE BROWARD AND
 MIAMI-DADE COUNTIES. THIS CODE SECTION CAN ONLY BE
 ENFORCED IN TROUGHS COUNTIES.
  
 2B) NOTE ONLY. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD CAN ENFORCE A
 MORE STRINGENT STANDARD (WIND LOAD/ NOTE L) THAN THE
 MINIMUM CODE SUCH AS ONLY ALLOW THE USE OF MIAMI-DADE
 NOA?S AND NOT ALLOWING PRODUCT TO BE SUBMITTED UNDER
 THE FLORIDA APPROVAL SYSTEM.
  
 2C) DESIGN SUPERIMPOSED LOADS (1) GRAVITY LOADS. THE
 PLAN STATES THE DEAD LOAD FOR THE ROOF IS 40 PSF. SHEET
 S2.01 SHOWS A DETAIL 5 SHEET S-3.02. THIS DETAIL SHOWS
 THE ROOF SLAB TO BE 6 INCHES THICK. 3000 PSI CONCRETE
 WEIGHTS 4050 LBS. PER CU. YD./ 27 CU. FT.= 150 LBS. PER
 CUBIC FOOT/ 2 = 75 LBS. OF CONCRETE ALONE PER CUBIC
 FOOT WITH NO STEEL MANSARD OR ROOFING MATERIALS. PLEASE
 REFER BACK TO THE 2017 FBC-B 1606.2 DESIGN DEAD LOADS.
  
 2D) THE NEW 6 INCH CONCRETE ROOF SLAB HAS A NOTE # 1
 WITHIN THE ROOF PLAN INDICATING: 6 INCH ONE WAY ROOF
 SLAB WITH REINFORCED WITH #5 @ 12 INCHES ON CENTER
 BOTTOM AND # 4 @ 16 INCHES O. C. TEMPERATURE. SPAN
 ARROW INDICATED DIRECTION OF PRIMARY REINFORCING. THIS
 MEANS THE PRIMARY REINFORCING RUNS EAST/ WEST. THAT
 MEANS ON THE ON THE VARY SOUTH END OF THE ROOF OVERHANG
 THERE IS NO PRIMARY REINFORCING THAT WILL CARRY OVER
 THE BEAM AS A CANTILEVERED LOAD SINCE THE PRIMARY STEEL
 RUNS PARALLEL TO THE SOUTHERN WALL LINE. ONLY THE
 TEMPERATURE STEEL WOULD BE THERE. IN THIS AREA SHOULD
 THE SLAB BE A 2 WAY SLAB? 107.2.1.2 ADDITIONAL
 INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 2E) SHEET S-3.02 DETAIL 5 IS DRAWN AS IF THE
 REINFORCING BOTTOM STEEL IS A 2 WAY SLAB, AND SECOND
 THE TEMPERATURE STEEL IS SHOWN AS CONTINUOUS TOP STEEL.
 SHEET S2.01 INDICATES THE #4 TEMP. STEEL TO BE @ 16
 INCHES ON CENTER BUT NOT THE LENGTH OF THE STEEL.

 REINFORCING MATS. SHOULDN?T THE BOTTOM STEEL BE DOWELED

 3A) SHEET A-121 THE ROOF PLAN INDICATES THE NEW
 ADDITION ROOF TO BE 2 FEET 10 INCHES HIGHER THAN THE
 OLD ROOF. SHEET S-2.01 INDICATES (2) CONFLICTING
 GRAPHICS ON THE ROOF PLAN. ONE SHOWS THE NEW ROOF LEVEL
 WITH THE OLD ROOF NORTH GRAPHIC, WHILE THE WEST GRAPHIC
 SHOWS THE ROOF RAISED. BOTH SECTIONS 1 & 2 BOTH SHOW
 THE NEW PROPOSED ROOF LEVEL AT THE SAME LEVEL AS THE
 OLD ROOF SLAB. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 3B) SHEET S3.02 NOR A-5.01 PROVIDE THE TYPE OF MATERIAL
 THE SOFFIT IS TO BE CONSTRUCTED FROM, THICKNESS NOR
 ATTACHMENT METHOD. 2017 FBC-B TABLE 1405.2.
  
 4) SHEET S-3.01 DETAIL # 1 SHOWS WALL SECTION OF THE
 NEW MONOLITHIC FOOTER WITHIN THE BUILDING AND ADDITION.
 THE VERTICAL DIMENSION OF THE MONOLITHIC FOOTER BEING
 12 INCHES. PLEASE PROVIDE THE HEIGHT OF FOOTER ON AN
 EXTERIOR WALL WHERE THE FINISHED GRADE IS PROVIDED IN
 RELATION TO THE DEPTH OF THE FOOTER. SHOW COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION 1809.4 DEPTH OF FOOTINGS.
 THE MINIMUM DEPTH OF FOOTINGS BELOW THE UNDISTURBED
 GROUND SURFACE SHALL BE 12 INCHES.
