 COMMENTS
 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017) AND CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 NOTE: SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.
  
  
 1- PROVIDE ENERGY CALCULATIONS (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED
 BY SEC. 908 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING AND SEC. R101.5
 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
 NOTE: PLEASE MAKE SURE FORMS ARE PROPERLY SIGNED BY ALL
 REQUIRED PARTIES AND IS COORDINATED WITH PLANS TO AVOID
 CONFLICTS/DELAYS.
  
 2- PLANS SHOW REMOVING ONE EXTERIOR DOOR FROM THE
 BEDROOM. NONE OF THE PROPOSED WINDOWS SEEM TO COMPLY
 WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS. SEC. 702.5 FBC-BUILDING.
 REVISE AS REQUIRED. AND, CLEARLY SPECIFY THE ACTUAL
 SIZE OF THE PROPOSED EGRESS WINDOW AND PROVIDE
 MANUFACTURER'S CUT SHEETS SHOWING THAT THE SPECIFIED
 WINDOW COMPLIES WITH ALL THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS.
  
 3- SHEET 1.1:
 A)BASED ON DRAWINGS SUBMITTED, THIS IS AN ALTERATION
 LEVEL 3 NOT LEVEL 2. SEE SEC. 505 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING. REVISE INFORMATION GIVEN UNDER "PROJECT
 DATA".
  
 B) REVISE THE "PLYWOOD SHEATHING NAILING SCHEDULE".
 NEED TO SPECIFY RING SHANK NAILS AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING AND SEC. R803.2.3.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: NEED TO COORDINATE THIS INFORMATION WITH
 INFORMATION SHOWN ON THE "TYPICAL WOOD FRAME WALL
 SECTION" ON SHEET 3.1 TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS.
  
 C) REVISE THE "A" DIMENSION SPECIFIED ON THE PLAN SHOWN
 ABOVE THE "PLYWOOD SHEATHING NAILING SCHEDULE". NEED TO
 SPECIFY 4 FEET MIN. AS REQUIRED BY FIGURE R301.2(7)

 FOOT. NEED TO SPECIFY TWO LAYERS OF UNDERLAYMENT AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. R905.2.2 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. SEC. 801.3

 5- DOOR AND WINDOWS DESIGN PRESSURES SHOWN ON SHEET 2.1
 ARE TOO LOW IF THEY ARE DONE USING TABLE R301.2(2)
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL AS SPECIFIED ON PLANS. SEE TABLE
 R301.2(2) FBC-RESIDENTIAL AND REVISE AS REQUIRED. USE
 THE LOAD ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOWER EFFECTIVE AREA AS
 REQUIRED BY FOOTNOTE "B" OF THE SAME TABLE OR PROVIDE
 CALCULATIONS FOR THE ACTUAL WINDOW SIZE BASED ON THE
 LOCATION (INTERIOR/END ZONE), MEAN ROOF HEIGHT AND
 BUILDING EXPOSURE. SEC. 107.2.1.2 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 6- SHEET 3.1:
 A) NEED TO SPECIFY ALL THE CONNECTORS AT THE BOTTOM OF
 ALL STRUCTURAL FRAME MEMBERS OF THE TYPICAL WINDOW
 OPENING IN FRAME WALL DETAIL. SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING
 BUILDING. SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 B) NEED TO SPECIFY ALL THE CONNECTORS AT THE STRUCTURAL
 FRAME MEMBERS OF THE SECTION AT WOOD FRAME IN-FILL
 DETAIL. SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. SEC. R301.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
 NOTE: CLARIFY/REVISE THE FINISH MATERIALS ON THE
 INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR SIDE OF THE WALL. DETAIL PROVIDE
 IS SPECIFYING 5/8" DRYWALL ON BOTH SIDES. REVISE AS
 REQUIRED.
  
  
 7- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
  
 A)EXTERIOR DOORS AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
 NOTE: NOA 16-0617.02 SUBMITTED IS FOR SLIDING GLASS
 DOORS. THERE ARE NOT SLIDING GLASS DOORS ON THIS
 PROJECT.
  
 B)SINGLE HUNG WINDOWS AS SHOWN ON PLANS.
  
 C) HURRICANE SHUTTERS IF DOORS/WINDOWS PRODUCT
 APPROVALS DON'T HAVE IMPACT GLAZING.
 PROTECTION OF OPENINGS IS REQUIRED BY SEC. R301.2.1.2
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. SEC. 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING
  
 NOTE: NEED TO PROVIDE ALSO A SHUTTERS COMPLETE
 INSTALLATION SCHEDULE AS REQUIRED BY CITY
 IMPLEMENTATION STANDARD FOR WIND-BORNE DEBRIS IMPACT
 PROTECTION FOR THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. SEE CITY

 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS
 (INCLUDING THE ONES ALREADY SUBMITTED) AS REQUIRED BY
 SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION &
 REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
