 PROPOSED SYSTEM S-12 ON PAGE 21 OF 67 (FL#2533-R22)
 REQUIRES A BASE INSULATION LAYER THAT IS MECHANICALLY
 FASTENED TO THE STEEL ROOF DECK WITH 1 FASTENER PER 3.2
 SQFT. SPECIFY THE SIZE OF THE INSULATION BOARDS THAT
 WILL BE USED ( LENGTH X WIDTH ), PROVIDE CALCULATIONS
 THAT SPECIFY THE NUMBER OF FASTENERS PER ISO BOARD (FOR
 EACH ROOF ZONE) AND PROVIDE A FASTENER PLACEMENT DETAIL
 SHOWING THE REQUIRED LOCATION OF THE FASTENERS PER ISO
 BOARD (FOR EACH ROOF ZONE). SEE RAS 117. FBC 107.2.1.2
 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS.
 A) I DO SEE ON YOUR DRAWING THAT THE INSULATION PANELS
 ARE SPECIFIED AS 2 FT X 8 FT. THERE ARE NOT ANY 2 FT X
 8 FT FIGURES SHOWN IN RAS 117, THEREFORE I WOULD
 SUGGEST THAT 2 FT X 4 FT OR 4 FT X 8 FT PANELS BE USED.
 I ALSO SEE THAT THE INSULATION IN YOUR DRAWING APPEARS
 TO BE IN BETWEEN THE TOP FLANGES OF THE STEEL DECKING.
 PLEASE REFER TO FBC 2017 RAS NO. 117 (#4) INSULATION
 ATTACHMENT OVER STEEL DECKS. INSULATION PANELS ARE
 REQUIRED TO HAVE FULL CONTACT WITH THE TOP FLANGES OF
 THE STEEL DECKING.
 B) I HAVE REVIEWED YOUR CALCULATIONS AND AGREE THAT
 THEY ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE ATTACHMENT AND ENHANCED
 FASTENING OF A CONTINUOUS BASE SHEET. HOWEVER, THIS
 DOES NOT WORK FOR INSULATION PANELS BECAUSE THEY ARE
 NOT CONTINOUS AND AT SOME POINTS YOU WOULD HAVE
 FASTENERS IN THE PANEL BUTT JOINTS. (NOTE: ON PAGE 3 OF
 YOUR REPORT THE COMPUTED FASTENER SPACING FOR THE
 PERIMETER AND CORNER IS REQUIRED TO BE ROUNDED DOWN,
 8.54 INCHES SHOULD BE 8 INCHES AND 4.26 INCHES SHOULD
 BE 4 INCHES.) SEE RAS 117 (#3.1) FOR THE REQUIRED
 INSTALLATION OF FASTENERS AT INSULATION PANEL EDGES.
 C) SEE RAS 117 (#9) FOR THE GENERAL EQUATION TO USE FOR
 DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF FASTENERS FOR PERIMETER AND
 CORNER AREAS AND SEE FIGURES 1-4 OF THIS APPLICATION
