| A) I DO SEE ON YOUR DRAWING THAT THE INSULATION PANELS |
| ARE SPECIFIED AS 2 FT X 8 FT. THERE ARE NOT ANY 2 FT X |
| 8 FT FIGURES SHOWN IN RAS 117, THEREFORE I WOULD |
| SUGGEST THAT 2 FT X 4 FT OR 4 FT X 8 FT PANELS BE USED. |
| I ALSO SEE THAT THE INSULATION IN YOUR DRAWING APPEARS |
| TO BE IN BETWEEN THE TOP FLANGES OF THE STEEL DECKING. |
| PLEASE REFER TO FBC 2017 RAS NO. 117 (#4) INSULATION |
| ATTACHMENT OVER STEEL DECKS. INSULATION PANELS ARE |
| REQUIRED TO HAVE FULL CONTACT WITH THE TOP FLANGES OF |
| THE STEEL DECKING. |
| B) I HAVE REVIEWED YOUR CALCULATIONS AND AGREE THAT |
| THEY ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE ATTACHMENT AND ENHANCED |
| FASTENING OF A CONTINUOUS BASE SHEET. HOWEVER, THIS |
| DOES NOT WORK FOR INSULATION PANELS BECAUSE THEY ARE |
| NOT CONTINOUS AND AT SOME POINTS YOU WOULD HAVE |
