 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT THAT APPLIES
 TO ANY REMODEL OR NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR WHICH
 THE PERMIT APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED AFTER 6/29/14, AND
 THE TOTAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE EQUAL TO OR
 GREATER THAN $750,000 WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH THIS
 ORDINANCE. PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ORDINANCE NO.
 4504-14, AND CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF
 ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V, ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION
 78-123(A) AND SECTION 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS
 1% OF THE TOTAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST. PER CITY OF
 WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V, ART IN
 PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND NEW
 CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO THE
 ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS. SEC. 78-129. - PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT FOR
 PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT. (A) APPLICABILITY. THE PROVISIONS
 OF THIS ARTICLE AND THE PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT SECTION
 SHALL APPLY TO ALL PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS,
 INCLUDING NEW CONSTRUCTION, OR THE RENOVATION OR
 IMPROVEMENT OF AN EXISTING BUILDING, WHERE TOTAL
 CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN
 $750,000.00. ALL BUILDINGS WITHIN NEW PLANNED
 DEVELOPMENTS SHALL BE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY TOWARDS
 THIS ART IN PUBLIC PLACES REQUIREMENT, EVEN IF THE
 BUILDINGS ARE PERMITTED SEPARATELY OR DEVELOPED IN
 PHASES. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION APPLY TO NEW
 DEVELOPMENT OR NEW CONSTRUCTION WITHIN EXISTING PLANNED
 DEVELOPMENTS.

 - PLEASE PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF HOW PROJECT VALUE WAS
 CALCULATED.
  
 3) REQUIREMENT 2 - ACCESSIBLE AND USABLE PUBLIC AND
 COMMON USE AREAS
 - PLEASE SHOW ACCESSIBLE PATH TO THE AMENITIES FROM THE
 S.W PORTION OF R-2 OCCUPANCY THAT IS SEPARATED BY S-2.
  
 4) 107.3.5.3.1 FBC [AMENDED]PROVIDE BASE FLOOD
 ELEVATION(B.F.E.) CERTIFICATE WITH DESIGN FLOOD
 ELEVATIONS TO INCLUDE ANY MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT AS
 APPLICABLE. ALL ELEVATION CERTIFICATES CERTIFIED
 OCTOBER 5, 2017 AND LATER ARE TO UTILIZE NAVD88 AND
 INCLUDE A CONVERSION TO NGVD29.
  
 5) ON SHEET LS-0 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. THE WINDOW AND
 DOORS WILL NOT REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT, BUT WILL
 REQUIRE SUBMITTAL. THE SAME GOES FOR ROOF TRUSSES, BUT
 THE ROOF WILL BE UNDER SUB PERMIT. IF NO SUBMITTAL AT
 THIS TIME THEN THE SUBMITTAL WILL BE DUE WITH SUB
 PERMIT APPLICATION.,
 - OTHER DEFERRED SUBMITTELS CAN BE ADDED TO THE PLANS
 ON SHEET LS-0, OR I WILL PASTE THEN IN UPON STAMPNG.
 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS TO ADD INCLUDE VEHICLE BARRIER
 SYSTEM, HAND RAILS AND GUARD RAILS AND AWNINGS (THIS
 WOULD BE A SEPARATE PERMIT)
  
 6) ASCE 7-10 SECTION 4.5.3 LOADS ON VEHICLE BARRIER
 SYSTEMS.
 - VEHICLE BARRIER SYSTEMS WILL BE ADDED TO DEFFERED
 SUBMITTAL LIST. (NO RESPONSE REQUIRED)
  
 7) 903.3.8.5 CALCULATIONS. HYDRAULIC CALCULATIONS IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH NFPA 13 SHALL BE PROVIDED TO
 DEMONSTRATE THAT THE AVAILABLE WATER FLOW AND PRESSURE
 ARE ADEQUATE TO SUPPLY ALL SPRINKLERS INSTALLED IN ANY
 SINGLE FIRE AREA WITH DISCHARGE DENSITIES CORRESPONDING
 TO THE HAZARD CLASSIFICATION.

 STATE S2 PARKING AS OPEN OR ENCLOSED
 - PLEASE CLARIFY SOME DATA ON SHEET LS-0.
  
 9) 506.2.4 FBC[B] MIXED-OCCUPANCY, MULTISTORY
 BUILDINGS.
 - PLEASE PROVIDE FRONTAGE AREA INCREASE CALCULATIONS TO
 SHOW SUM OF THE RATIOS COMPLY WITH 508.1 FOR EACH FLOOR
 AND THE AGGREGATE SUM OF ALL FLOORS SHALL NOT EXCEED 3.
  
 10) 506.3 FBC[B] FRONTAGE INCREASE. EVERY BUILDING
 SHALL ADJOIN OR HAVE ACCESS TO A PUBLIC WAY TO RECEIVE
 AN AREA FACTOR INCREASE BASED ON FRONTAGE. AREA FACTOR
 INCREASE SHALL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 SECTIONS 506.3.1 THROUGH 506.3.3.
 - THIS SHOULD WORK OUT WITH THE AMOUNT OF OPEN SPACE
 AROUND THE SITE, BUT THE CALCULATIONS ARE NEEDED TO
 VERIFY SINCE THE RATIO OF FIRST FLOOR WOULD EXCEED 1
 WITHOUT INCREASE. PLEASE FELL FREE TO CONTACT ME ABOUT
 PERIMETER OR APPLYING PERIMETER TO OCCUPANCIES IF YOU
 COME UP SHORT BECAUSE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO KEEP
 CONSTRUCTION TYPE AS PROVIDED.
  
 11) 406.5.2 OPEN GARAGE.
 - PLEASE PROVIDE A TIER BY TIER BREAKDOWN TO SHOW THAT
 OPENINGS ARE PROVIDED TO MEET CRITERIA OF OPEN GARAGE.
 SHOW EACH TIER WITH 20 PERCENT PERIMETER WALL AREA OPEN
 SPREAD ALONG 40 PERCENT OF THE PERIMETER AT EACH TIER.
  
 12) 1005.1 FBC[B] GENERAL. ALL PORTIONS OF THE MEANS OF
 EGRESS SYSTEM SHALL BE SIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS
 SECTION.
 - IT IS NOT CLEAR HOW MANY OCCUPANTS OR THE REQUIRED
 WIDTH FOR EACH EXIT. PLEASE SHOW HOW MANY OCCUPANTS AT
 EACH DOOR AND ADD TOGETHER WHERE THEY MERGE.
  
 13) 713.13.4 FBC[B]CHUTE DISCHARGE ROOM TO EQUAL THE
 FIRE RATING OF SHAFT ENCLOSURE.
 - CHECK RATING ON DOORS TO DISCHARGE ROOM ON DOOR
 SCHEDULE. THOSE DOORS ARE SUPPOSED TO MEET 713.13.4 FOR
 MEETING THE SAME FIRE PROTECTION REQUIREMENT OF THE
 SHAFT ENCLOSURE.
  
 14) PAVING AND DRAINAGE PLANS
 - PROVIDE CIVIL PLANS TO SHOW ELEVATIONS OF SITE
 ELEMENTS. THE ELEVATIONS SHOULD BE IN NAV88 AND THE
 LOWEST FLOOR LEVEL SHOULD BE SHOWN TO MAKE SURE BASE
 FLOOD ELEVATION IS APPLIED (14.1 FEET).
