 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) 2ND REQUEST. THE SUBMITTED SOILS REPORT IS A PAPER
 COPY THAT WAS SCANNED AND UPLOADED INTO THE COMPUTER.
 61G15-23.003 PROCEDURES FOR SIGNING AND SEALING
 ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
 REPORTS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS.
 (1) ENGINEERING WORK WHICH MUST BE SEALED UNDER THE
 PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 471, F.S., STORED OR TRANSMITTED
 IN AN ELECTRONIC FORMAT, SHALL BE SIGNED, DATED AND
 SEALED BY THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER IN RESPONSIBLE
 CHARGE.
  
 1ST ROUND COMMENTS. SHEET S-2 UNDER THE HEADING OF
 FOUNDATION INDICATES THERE IS A FOUNDATION
 INVESTIGATION REPORT PREPARED BY TERRACON. PLEASE
 PROVIDE A SIGNED AND SEALED OR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AND
 SEAL TO THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT IN COMPLIANCE WITH:
 2017 FBC-B SECTION 2017 FBC-B 1803.5.2 QUESTIONABLE
 SOIL. WHERE THE CLASSIFICATION, STRENGTH OR
 COMPRESSIBILITY OF THE SOIL IS IN DOUBT OR WHERE A
 LOAD-BEARING VALUE SUPERIOR TO THAT SPECIFIED IN THIS
 CODE IS CLAIMED, THE BUILDING OFFICIAL SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO REQUIRE THAT A GEOTECHNICAL INVESTIGATION
 BE CONDUCTED.
  
 2) 2ND REQUEST. THE RESPONSE LETTER INDICATES THE
 ENERGY CALCULATIONS WERE SUBMITTED, NOT SHOWING UP AS A
 PLAN OR FILE IN THE FOLDER. THIS REVIEW CYCLE NO ENERGY
 CALCULATIONS WERE SUBMITTED. 2017 FBC-ENERGY CODE:
 C401.2 APPLICATION.
 COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE
 FOLLOWING:
 1.THE REQUIREMENTS OF ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1, EXCLUDING
 SECTION 9.4.1.1(G) OF THE STANDARD.
 2.THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS C402 THROUGH C405. IN
 ADDITION, COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY
 WITH SECTION C406 AND TENANT SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH
 SECTION C406.1.1.
 3.THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTIONS C402.5, C403.2, C404,
 C405.2, C405.3, C405.5, C405.6 AND C407. THE
 BUILDING ENERGY COST SHALL BE EQUAL TO OR LESS THAN 85
 PERCENT OF THE STANDARD REFERENCE DESIGN
 BUILDING.
  
 3) COMPLIED. COMPONENTS AND CLADDING PRESSURES FOR
 ZONES 1,2,3,4 & 5 ARE ALL GOOD AND LISTED IN VASD.
  
 3A-B) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS REQUESTED THE PRODUCT
 APPROVALS TO BE 107.3.4.2 DEFERRED SUBMITTALS. FOR THE
 PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ARE
 DEFINED AS THOSE PORTIONS OF THE DESIGN THAT ARE NOT
 SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF THE APPLICATION AND THAT ARE
 TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITHIN A
 SPECIFIED PERIOD. DEFERRAL OF ANY SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL
 HAVE THE PRIOR APPROVAL OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. THE
 REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN RESPONSIBLE CHARGE
 SHALL LIST THE DEFERRED SUBMITTALS ON THE CONSTRUCTION
 DOCUMENTS FOR REVIEW BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 DOCUMENTS FOR DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS SHALL BE
 SUBMITTED TO THE REGISTERED DESIGN PROFESSIONAL IN
 RESPONSIBLE CHARGE WHO SHALL REVIEW THEM AND FORWARD
 THEM TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL WITH A NOTATION
 INDICATING THAT THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE TO
 THE DESIGN OF THE BUILDING. THE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL
 ITEMS SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED UNTIL THE DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE BUILDING
 OFFICIAL.

 MANUFACTURES WRITTEN SPECIFICATION. PLEASE SUBMIT FOR
 REVIEW BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD AND HIGHLIGHT THE
 BACKSET FROM THE EDGE OF THE CONCRETE COLUMN (SHEET
 S-1FOUNDATION NOTE 5 TC-1 COLUMN) AND THE DERATING OF

 SECTION 1408 OF THE 2017 FBC-B EFIS. HOW WILL HE EFIS
 TRIM BE ANCHORED TO THE BUILDING SECTIONS 1408.3 AND
 1408.4. 2017 FBC-B SECTION 1408.4 WEATHER RESISTANCE.
 EIFS SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 1403 AND SHALL BE
 DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED TO RESIST WIND AND RAIN IN
 ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION AND THE MANUFACTURER?S
 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS.
  
 5) PLEASE REVIEW SHEET AE102 DETAIL # 2 & 5. THE PLAN
 INDICATES THE INSTALLATION OF HIGH RIB GALVANIZED METAL
 LATH AND THE USE OF 1 INCH WOOD PURLINS TO BE ATTACHED
 TO THE BOTTOM CHORD OF THE WOOD ROOF TRUSSES. PLEASE
 REVIEW IN THE 2017 FBC-B SECTION 2511.1.1 INSTALLATION
 AND TABLE 2511.1.1 LATHING & FURRING (CEMENT PLASTER/
 STUCCO) ASTM C1063.

 PENETRATION INTO THE FRAMING MEMBER VARIES.

 INDICATE THE ATTACHMENT METHOD OF THE WIRE LATH INTO
 THE HORIZONTAL PURLIN, NOR DOES THE NOTE INDICATE HOW
 THE PURLIN IS TO BE ANCHORED INTO THE BOTTOM OF THE
 ROOF TRUSS?
 WHEN REVIEWING ASTM C1063 IF NAILS ARE TO SECURE THE
 METAL EXPANDED 3/ 8 INCH RIB LATH THE HORIZONTAL PURLIN
 WITH EITHER NAILS OR STAPLES, NOT LESS THAN 1 INCH
 PENETRATION INTO THE HORIZONTAL WOOD FRAMING MEMBER.

 5B) 2ND REQUEST. NAILS OR SCREWS? THE LENGTH OF
 PENETRATION INTO THE FRAMING MEMBER VARIES. 1ST ROUND
 OF COMMENTS. ASTM 1063-7.10.2.5. SCREWS USED TO ATTACH
 METAL PLASTER BASE TO HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL FRAMING
 MEMBERS SHALL PENETRATE NOT LESS THAN 5/8 INCH INTO THE
 MEMBER WHEN THE LATH IS INSTALLED AND SHALL ENGAGE NOT
 LESS THAN 3 STRANDS OF LATH. WHEN INSTALLING RIB LATH
 THE SCREWS SHALL PASS THROUGH, BUT NOT DEFORM THE RIB.
