 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET 018_A-100 THE LIFE SAFETY SHEET BUILDING CODE
 ANALYSIS:
  
 1A) THE PLANS INDICATE THIS TENANT SPACE IS A LEVEL II
 ALTERATION. IN GOING THROUGH FILE NET (PERMITTING
 ARCHIVES) THIS SPACE HAS NEVER BEEN OCCUPIED, IT HAS
 BEEN A SHELL SPACE. PLEASE NOTE OCCUPATIONAL LICENSING
 HAS ISSUED EVENTS FOR THIS SPACE, BUT THERE HAS NEVER
 BEEN A PERMIT CHANGING IT FROM A SHELL SPACE TO AN
 OCCUPANCY TYPE. I HAVE WENT BACK THROUGH THE INTERIOR
 BUILD OUT PERMITS AND NOT FOUND A PERMIT FOR THIS SPACE
 ON THE 1ST FLOOR. THIS SPACE IS EITHER NEW CONSTRUCTION
 SINCE NO PERMIT WAS FOUND. PLEASE UPDATE PLANS.
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE SECTION 101.2 SCOPE. THE
 PROVISIONS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, EXISTING
 BUILDING SHALL APPLY TO THE REPAIR, ALTERATION, CHANGE
 OF OCCUPANCY, ADDITION TO AND RELOCATION OF EXISTING
 BUILDINGS.
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 101.4.1 BUILDINGS NOT
 PREVIOUSLY OCCUPIED. A BUILDING OR PORTION OF A
 BUILDING THAT HAS NOT BEEN PREVIOUSLY OCCUPIED OR USED
 FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS IN
 EXISTENCE AT THE TIME OF ITS COMPLETION SHALL BE
 PERMITTED TO COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS IN
 EXISTENCE AT THE TIME OF ITS ORIGINAL PERMIT UNLESS
 SUCH PERMIT HAS EXPIRED. SUBSEQUENT PERMITS SHALL
 COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING OR
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, RESIDENTIAL, AS APPLICABLE, FOR
 NEW CONSTRUCTION.
  
 1B) UNDER THE BUILDING CODE ANALYSIS # 9 THE PLAN
 STATES THE NUMBER OF EXITS REQUIRED AS 1. PLEASE NOTE
 THE PLAN DOES NOT INDICATE THE OCCUPANT LOAD. THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD IS SHOWN AS 87 PLEASE UPDATE TO 88
 420/300= 1.4 YOU ALWAYS ROUND UP OCCUPANTS TO 2
 OCCUPANTS, TOTAL 88 OCCUPANTS, REQUIRES 2 MEANS OF
 EGRESS. SEE THE 2017 FBC-BUILDING CODE TABLE 1006.2.1
 SPACES WITH ONE EXIT OR EXIT ACCESS DOORWAYS. FOR AN A3
 OCCUPANCY THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANT LOAD WITH ONE EXIT OR
 EXIT ACCESS DOORWAY IS 49 OCCUPANTS AND COMMON PATH OF
 TRAVEL OF 75 FEET.
  
 1C) UNDER THE BUILDING CODE ANALYSIS # 11 INTERIOR
 FINISH REQUIREMENTS, TABLE 803.11 THE OCCUPANCY TYPE AS
 MERCANTILE. THE RATINGS ARE CORRECT WRONG OCCUPANCY
 TYPE. MAYBE A TYPO, PLEASE CORRECT. 107.2.1.2.
 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION IS REQUIRED.
  
 1D) PLEASE IDENTIFY WHICH PIECES OF EQUIPMENT ARE GOING
 TO BE HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 2017 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE 1004.1 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE.
  
 EXERCISE MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT SHALL HAVE A CLEAR
 FLOOR SPACE COMPLYING WITH 305 POSITIONED FOR TRANSFER
 OR FOR USE BY AN INDIVIDUAL SEATED IN A WHEELCHAIR.
 CLEAR FLOOR OR GROUND SPACES REQUIRED AT EXERCISE
 MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE PERMITTED TO OVERLAP.
  
 ADVISORY 1004.1 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE. ONE CLEAR FLOOR OR
 GROUND SPACE IS PERMITTED TO BE SHARED BETWEEN TWO
 PIECES OF EXERCISE EQUIPMENT. TO OPTIMIZE SPACE USE,
 DESIGNERS SHOULD CAREFULLY CONSIDER LAYOUT OPTIONS SUCH
 AS CONNECTING ENDS OF THE ROW AND CENTER AISLE SPACES.
 THE POSITION OF THE CLEAR FLOOR SPACE MAY VARY GREATLY
 DEPENDING ON THE USE OF THE EQUIPMENT OR MACHINE. FOR
 EXAMPLE, TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO A SHOULDER PRESS MACHINE,
 CLEAR FLOOR SPACE NEXT TO THE SEAT WOULD BE APPROPRIATE
 TO ALLOW FOR TRANSFER. CLEAR FLOOR SPACE FOR A BENCH
 PRESS MACHINE DESIGNED FOR USE BY AN INDIVIDUAL SEATED
 IN A WHEELCHAIR, HOWEVER, WILL MOST LIKELY BE CENTERED
 ON THE OPERATING MECHANISMS.

 COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION
 MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE
