 FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM 100%. PLEASE CORRECT THE
 DISCREPANCY BETWEEN THE BUILDING BEING FIRE SPRINKLERED

 DOES NOT NEED TO BE FIRE RATED. THE DESIGNER OF RECORD
 HAS LABELED THIS WALL AS AN 1 HOUR FIRE WALL. THE FBC-B
 TABLE 706.4 THERE IS NO 1 HOUR FIRE WALL RATING
 SEPARATING OCCUPANCIES.
  
 3D) IN THE CENTER OF THE PLAN THERE IS A ROOM LABELED A
 LAB. PLEASE NOTE DEFINING AN AREA AS A LAB IS A VERY
 BROAD IN DETERMINING CODE COMPLIANCE. THE QUESTION IS
 IT APPEARS THE DESIGNER OF RECORD IS TRYING TO ENCLOSE
 THE LAB AND EQUIPMENT STORAGE ROOM (HIGHER HAZARD
 OCCUPANCY) WITH 1 HOUR FIRE RATED WALLS. THE 4
 RESTROOMS ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THE 1 HOUR FIRE RATED
 WALL ASSEMBLY. THIS MEANS THE ASSEMBLY AND BUSINESS
 OCCUPANCIES ARE GOING INTO A MORE HAZARDOUS OCCUPANCY
 TO USE THE RESTROOMS. IT WOULD APPEAR THE DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL?S INTENT WAS TO HAVE THE 1 HOUR FIRE
 RATING BEHIND THE REAR RESTROOM WALLS TO ALLOW THE
 OCCUPANTS FROM THE ASSEMBLY AND BUSINESS OCCUPANCY TO
 USE THE 4 RESTROOMS. SEE 2017 FBC-B TABLE 508.4.
  
 3E) AT THIS TIME THE OCCUPANCY OF THE LAB, CANNOT BE
 DETERMINED THE USAGE WILL NEED TO BE BETTER DEFINED.
 WHAT TYPES OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ARE TO BE USED IN THE
 DAY TO DAY USAGE OF THE LAB. PLEASE PROVIDE AMOUNT OF
 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS, IF THEY ARE SOLIDS, LIQUIDS, AND
 OR GASEOUS MATERIALS( FC-B TABLE 307.1(1), IF THEY ARE
 GOING TO BE STORED IN 1 HOUR FIRE RATED CABINETS, AND
 IF THIS ROOM (LAB) IS TO BE CONSIDERED A 1 HOUR FIRE

 ARE LOCATED WITHIN 10 FEET (3048 MM) OF A ROOF EDGE OR
 OPEN SIDE OF A WALKING SURFACE AND SUCH EDGE OR OPEN
 SIDE IS LOCATED MORE THAN 30 INCHES ABOVE THE FLOOR,
 ROOF OR GRADE BELOW. THE GUARD SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED SO
 AS TO PREVENT THE PASSAGE OF A SPHERE 21 INCHES IN
 DIAMETER. THE GUARD SHALL EXTEND NOT LESS THAN 30
 INCHES BEYOND EACH END OF SUCH APPLIANCE, EQUIPMENT,

 9) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
