 COMPLETELY SEPARATE AND THE VALUE NOT INCLUDED IN MAIN
 PERMIT/NO FEE SUB PERMITS CAN BE DEDUCTED FROM VALUE,
 FOR EXAMPLE FIRE ALARM AND SPRINKLER, BUT INCLUDE THESE
 DEDUCTIONS AS LINE ITEMS DEDUCTED FROM THE TOTAL
 EVALUATION FOR REFERENCE.

 THE OPINION OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL, THE CLAIMED
 VALUATION OF BUILDING, ALTERATION, STRUCTURE,
 ELECTRICAL, GAS, MECHANICAL OR PLUMBING SYSTEMS APPEARS
 TO BE UNDERESTIMATED ON THE APPLICATION, THE PERMIT
 SHALL BE DENIED, UNLESS THE APPLICANT CAN SHOW
 DETAILED, QUANTITY ESTIMATES, AND/OR BONA FIDE SIGNED
 CONTRACTS (EXCLUDING LAND VALUE) TO MEET THE APPROVAL
 OF THE BUILDING OFFICIAL. FOR PERMITTING PURPOSES,
 VALUATION OF BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE TOTAL
 REPLACEMENT VALUE TO INCLUDE STRUCTURAL, ELECTRIC,
 PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, INTERIOR FINISH, RELATIVE SITE
 WORK, ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN FEES, MARKETING COSTS,
 OVERHEAD AND PROFIT; EXCLUDING ONLY LAND VALUE.
 VALUATION REFERENCES MAY INCLUDE THE LATEST PUBLISHED
 DATA OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION COST ANALYSIS SERVICES
 (MARSHALL-SWIFT, MEANS, ETC.), AS PUBLISHED BY
 INTERNATIONAL CODE CONGRESS. FINAL BUILDING PERMIT
 VALUATION SHALL BE SET BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL.
  
 2. ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
 THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
 ORDINANCE REQUIREMENT THAT APPLIES TO ANY REMODEL OR
 NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR WHICH THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION WAS SUBMITTED AFTER 6/29/14, AND THE TOTAL
 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN
 $750,000 WILL NEED TO COMPLY WITH THIS ORDINANCE.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ORDINANCE NO. 4504-14, AND
 CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE V,
 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-123(A) AND SECTION
 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS 1% OF THE TOTAL
 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE
 V, ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND
 NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO
 THE ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS.
 SEC. 78-129. - PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT FOR PRIVATE
 DEVELOPMENT.
 (A) APPLICABILITY. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE AND
 THE PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ALL
 PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, INCLUDING NEW
 CONSTRUCTION, OR THE RENOVATION OR IMPROVEMENT OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING, WHERE TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE
 EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN $750,000.00. ALL BUILDINGS
 WITHIN NEW PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS SHALL BE ASSESSED
 CUMULATIVELY TOWARDS THIS ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
 REQUIREMENT, EVEN IF THE BUILDINGS ARE PERMITTED
 SEPARATELY OR DEVELOPED IN PHASES. THE PROVISIONS OF
 THIS SECTION APPLY TO NEW DEVELOPMENT OR NEW
 CONSTRUCTION WITHIN EXISTING PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS.

 ADD DIMENSIONS TO SECTIONS TO SHOW HOW 7' CLEARANCE IS
 PROVIDED THROUGHOUT LEVELS AND 8'-2" IS PROVIDED FOR
 VAN ACCESSIBLE SPACES.
  
 7. [FBC 406.4.1]CLEAR HEIGHT.
 THE CLEAR HEIGHT OF EACH FLOOR LEVEL IN VEHICLE AND
 PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AREAS SHALL BE NOT LESS THAN 7 FEET
 (2134 MM). VEHICLE AND PEDESTRIAN AREAS ACCOMMODATING
 VAN-ACCESSIBLE PARKING SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, ACCESSIBILITY.
  
 SHEET GG102 STATES THE NUMBER OF SPOTS PROVIDED. ADD TO
 THE TABLE THE NUMBER OF SPOTS REQUIRED.
 SHEET GG102 DOESN'T STATE THE AMOUNT OF REQUIRED ADA
 SPOTS, BUT BASED ON WHAT IS PROVIDED THERE SHOULD BE
 TWO VAN ACCESSIBLE SPACES.
  
 PLEASE INDICATE WHICH SPACES ARE VAN ACCESSIBLE AND
 FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES FOR SIGNAGE TO INDICATE HEIGHT.
  
 ADVISORY 502.5 VERTICAL CLEARANCE. SIGNS PROVIDED AT
 ENTRANCES TO PARKING FACILITIES INFORMING DRIVERS OF
 CLEARANCES AND THE LOCATION OF VAN ACCESSIBLE PARKING
 SPACES CAN PROVIDE USEFUL CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE.
  
 FLORIDA LAW, S.553.511, F.S., REQUIRES SIGNS BE POSTED
 THAT WILL WARN HANDICAPPED-EQUIPPED VAN OPERATORS OF
 HEIGHT LIMITATIONS SO THEY WILL NOT PASS BEYOND A POINT
 WHERE THE VAN CANNOT BE MANEUVERED.
  
 [FBC A208.2.4]VAN PARKING SPACES.
 WHERE VAN PARKING IS PROVIDED PURSUANT TO SECTION
 502.2, FOR EVERY SIX OR FRACTION OF SIX PARKING SPACES
 REQUIRED BY 208.2 TO COMPLY WITH 502, AT LEAST ONE
 SHALL BE A VAN PARKING SPACE COMPLYING WITH 502
  
 8. [FBC 1015]SHEET GA302 HAS NOTE THAT CRASH CABLES TO
 RESTRICT SPHERE 8" SPERE UP TO 42. PLEASE ADJUST NOTE
 TO CLARIFY THAT THE CRASH CABLES FUNCTION AS BOTH
 VEHICLE BARRIER AND GUARD TO 42". ALSO, IN RESPONSE
 SHEET EITHER STATE THE EXCEPTION TO ALLOW 8" FROM 34 TO
 42, OR ADJUST NOTE TO COMPLY WITH 1016. I SEE EXCEPTION
 FOR 4 3/8" SPHERE FROM 36-42, BUT NOT 8". EVEN THOUGH
 DRAWING APPEARS TO COMPLY ALL THE WAY UP PLEASE ADJUST

 9. [FBC 1607.8.3]PROVIDE ENGINEERING TO SHOW HOW THE
 VEHICLE BARRIER IS RATED TO RESIST 6000 LBS AS
 REQUIRED. ALSO, PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS THAT SHOW THIS
 PRODUCTS USE FOR PARKING GARAGE BARRIER FOR RAISED
 PLATFORM APPLICATIONS.
  
 10. [FBC 406.5.2]SHEET GA201 AND GA 202. PLEASE PROVIDE
 A CLEARER DEPICTION OF OPENINGS THAT ARE USED TO
 DETERMINE TO AMOUNT OF OPENINGS PER TIER. PROVIDING
 ELEVATIONS WITHOUT THE SCREENING THAT WILL BE UNDER
 SEPARATE PERMIT WOULD HELP TO SEE HOW THE PERIMETER
 WALL PROVIDES OPENING.
 THE CALCULATIONS SHOULE BE PER TIER, BUT THE PROVIDED
 ARE BY LEVELS AND PERIMETER DISTANCES VARY.
 THE GROUND LEVEL WALL AREA MAKES SENSE SINCE 10'-6"
 (HEIGHT) X 641'-8" PERIMETER = 6,737 SQ. FT, BUT THEN
 THE PROVIDED LENGHT EXCEEDS THE PERIMETER.
 VP WEST ELEVATION SEEMS TO BE A GOOD INDICATER OF TIER
 HEIGHTS AND THERE SHOUD BE 3 TIERS SHOWN:
 TIER 1 FROM -10'-4" TO 0'-0" WITH 641'-8" PERIMETER
 TIER 2 FROM 0'-0" TO 10'-10" WITH 641'-8" PERIMETER
 TIER 3 FROM 10'-10" TO 21'-4" WITH 641'-8" PERIMETER
 SHOW TOAL AREA OF WALL, REQ'D AREA, AREA PROVIDED
 WITHOUT SCREENING (100% OPEN), OPENING AREA WITH
 SCREENING ADJUSTMENT FACTOR(61% OPEN) AND TOTAL OPENING
 PROVIDED.
 IF ELEVATIONS ARE SHOW WITHOUT THE SCREENING IT WILL
 ALSO BE EASIER TO SEE HOW OPENING ARE PROVIDED ALONG
 40% OF THE PERIMETER. USE 641'-8" X .40 = 257' MINIMUM
 PER TIER AS YOU DID FOR GROUND LEVEL.
  
 11. [FBC 406.5.2]ADD CALCULATION TO SHOW 20% OPENINGS
 EVENLY DISTRIBUTED ON INTERIOR WALL PER TIER.
  
 12. [FBC 107.3.4.1]A CONSTRUCTION GUARDRAIL DETAIL,
 PREPARED BY A DESIGN PROFESSIONAL LICENSED UNDER FS471
 OR FS481, IS REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED, REVIEWED AND
 ISSUED BY THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH, OR INDICATE THAT
 IT WILL BE DEFERRED.
 *SUBJECT TO THE INSPECTOR?S DISCRETION, THIS MAY BE
 ACCEPTED IN THE FIELD AT TIME OF INSPECTION.

 -ADDITIONAL COMMENTS MAY BE FORTHCOMING PENDING REVIEW

 -WHEN RESUBMITTING, PROVIDE TWO IDENTICAL COLLATED SETS

 OR "OLD SHEETS". PLEASE DO NOT STAMP THE PLANS VOID AS
 APPLICANTS ARE INADVERTENTLY STAMPING SHEETS THAT WE
 NEED "VOID", RENDERING THEM NOT USABLE.
