 ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-123(A) AND SECTION
 78-126(A), THE ART ASSESSMENT IS 1% OF THE TOTAL
 PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST.
 PER CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH CODE OF ORDINANCES, ARTICLE
 V, ART IN PUBLIC PLACES, SECTION 78-122, RENOVATION AND
 NEW CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ARE ASSESSED CUMULATIVELY, SO
 THE ART ASSESSMENT WILL BE APPLICABLE TO ALL FUTURE
 PROJECTS.
 SEC. 78-129. - PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT FOR PRIVATE
 DEVELOPMENT.
 (A) APPLICABILITY. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE AND
 THE PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ALL
 PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, INCLUDING NEW
 CONSTRUCTION, OR THE RENOVATION OR IMPROVEMENT OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING, WHERE TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE
 EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN $750,000.00. ALL BUILDINGS
 WITHIN NEW PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS SHALL BE ASSESSED
 CUMULATIVELY TOWARDS THIS ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
 REQUIREMENT, EVEN IF THE BUILDINGS ARE PERMITTED
 SEPARATELY OR DEVELOPED IN PHASES. THE PROVISIONS OF
 THIS SECTION APPLY TO NEW DEVELOPMENT OR NEW
 CONSTRUCTION WITHIN EXISTING PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS.

 553.71(7) "THRESHOLD BUILDING" MEANING ANY BUILDING
 WHICH IS GREATER THAN (3) STORIES OR 50 FT. IN HEIGHT,
 OR WHICH HAS AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AS
 DENIED IN THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE WHICH EXCEEDS 5,000
 SQ. FT. IN AREA AND AN OCCUPANT CONTENT OF GREATER THAN
 500 PERSONS.
  
 A) FBC (CITY AMENDMENTS) 110.8.1 THRESHOLD INSPECTION
 PLAN. THE ENFORCING AGENCY SHALL REQUIRE A SPECIAL
 INSPECTOR TO PERFORM STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS ON A
 THRESHOLD BUILDING PURSUANT TO A STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
 PLAN PREPARED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE STRUCTURAL
 INSPECTION PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENFORCING
 AGENCY PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT FOR
 THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THRESHOLD BUILDING. THE PURPOSE
 OF THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTION PLAN IS TO PROVIDE
 SPECIFIC INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULES SO THAT
 THE BUILDING CAN BE ADEQUATELY INSPECTED FOR COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE PERMITTED DOCUMENTS.
  
 B) THRESHOLD INSPECTOR: WPB AMENDMENT 110.8.1 W.P.B.
 CONSTRUCTION SERVICES DEPARTMENT REQUEST FOR THRESHOLD
 BUILDINGS A SPECIAL INSPECTOR AS REQUIRED BY 553.79(5)
 FLORIDA STATUTES TO THE MINIMUM INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY
 THIS CODE. THE THRESHOLD INSPECTION FORMS ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE FILED OUT BY ALL PARTIES WITH INTEREST, NOTARIZED
 AND RETURNED TO THIS OFFICE, AND REVIEWED AND APPROVED
 BEFORE PERMIT ISSUANCE WILL TAKE PLACE.
  
 C) THRESHOLD BLDG. REQUIRED STATEMENT: W.P.B. AMENDMENT
 110.8.4.4 ALL PLANS FOR THE BUILDING WHICH ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER OF
 RECORD CONTAIN A STATEMENT THAT, TO THE BEST OF THE
 ARCHITECT'S OR ENGINEER'S KNOWLEDGE, THE PLANS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE MINIMUM
 BUILDING CODES AND THE APPLICABLE FIRE-SAFETY STANDARDS
 AS DETERMINED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 THIS SECTION AND CHAPTER 633 FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 D) FOR THE SPECIAL INSPECTOR PLEASE PROVIDE A RESUME OF
 INSPECTION EXPERIENCE ON PREVIOUS PROJECT. THE RESUME
 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY ALL CERTIFICATES AS SPECIFIED
 HEREIN. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OR HIS DESIGNEE WILL
 REVIEW THE RESUME. AFTER THE RESUME IS REVIEWED, AN
 INTERVIEW WILL BE SCHEDULED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
 WILL AN INSPECTOR BE INTERVIEWED FOR WORK WITHOUT FIRST
 MEETING THE ABOVE CRITERIA.
  
 E) THE CONTRACTOR WILL PRODUCE A JOB SUMMARY OR HISTORY
 FOR THIS TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION.
  
 F) NOTE: FOR DIGITAL PLANS, AFTER PERMIT ISSUANCE,
 PLEASE E-MAIL THE PERMIT LIBRARIAN OF THE PERMIT BEING
 ISSUED, THE PERMIT LIBRARIAN WILL THEN E-MAIL YOU THE
 APPROVED AND BATCH STAMPED PLANS SO YOU MAY PRINT YOUR
 PLANS, TWO SETS OF PLANS WILL NEED TO BE PRINTED IN
 COLOR, (1) FOR THE THRESHOLD INSPECTOR, THE OTHER FOR
 THE MEP INSPECTORS OTHER PLANS YOU WISH TO PRINT MAYBE
 IN BLACK & WHITE.
  
 G) 110.8.4.3 ALL SHORING AND RESHORING PROCEDURES,
 PLANS AND DETAILS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENFORCEMENT
 AGENCY FOR RECORDKEEPING. EACH SHORING AND RESHORING
 INSTALLATION SHALL BE SUPERVISED, INSPECTED AND
 CERTIFIED TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE SHORING
 DOCUMENTS BY THE CONTRACTOR.
  
 H) PLEASE CALL THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH'S AUTOMATED
 TELEPHONE INSPECTIONS LINE (561) 805-6700 FOR ALL
 BUILDING INSPECTIONS FOR AUDITING OF JOBSITE
 INSPECTIONS WITHOUT THIS THE PERMIT EXPIRES IN 6
 MONTHS, ABANDONMENT OF JOB, NO INSPECTION ACTIVITY.
  
 I) 110.8 THRESHOLD BUILDINGS, OPERATING GUIDELINES FOR
 THRESHOLD INSPECTORS #25. ASSURE THAT THE DESIGNER HAS
 REQUIRED ON THE PLANS OR SPECIFICATIONS ONE MATERIAL,
 APPROVED FOR FIRE STOPPING PENETRATIONS, FOR WALLS AND
 CEILINGS.

 BE HAPPY TO SEND YOU A COPY OF THE MAY 2017 GUIDELINES
 AND POLICIES FOR PROJECTS CONCERNING THRESHOLD/SPECIAL

 CONSTRUCTION OF FOUNDATIONS OR ANY OTHER PART OF A
 BUILDING OR STRUCTURE BEFORE THE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS
 FOR THE WHOLE BUILDING OR STRUCTURE HAVE BEEN
 SUBMITTED, PROVIDED THAT ADEQUATE INFORMATION AND
 DETAILED STATEMENTS HAVE BEEN FILED COMPLYING WITH
 PERTINENT REQUIREMENTS OF THIS CODE. THE HOLDER OF SUCH
 PERMIT FOR THE FOUNDATION OR OTHER PARTS OF A BUILDING
 OR STRUCTURE SHALL PROCEED AT THE HOLDER'S OWN RISK

 A SPECIALTY ENGINEER AND REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN
 WRITING BY THE DESIGNER OF RECORD FOR THE PROJECT. FBC

 INTERPETATION OF SECTION 1609.4 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE, OUR EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AREA, THE
 PROPOSED STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN EXPOSURE CATEGORY D.
 PLEASE REVISE PLANS. THE PLANS INDICATE THAT THIS
 PROJECT IS LOCATED IN EXPOSURE CATEGORY C. IT APPEARS
 THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE EXPOSURE D BASED ON FBC
 1609.4.3 AND ITS PROXIMITY TO THE INTER COASTAL
 WATERWAY. SUBMIT AN ANALYSIS OF HOW THE EXPOSURE
 CATEGORY WAS DETERMINED. FBC 1609.4
  
 10) NOT ADDRESSED. ON SHEET 004-S-002, THE DESIGN LOAD
 DATA REFERENCES THE 2014 FBC. PLEASE UPDATE TO
 REFERENCE THE 2017 FBC, WHICH IS THE APPLICABLE CODE
 FOR THIS PROJECT.
  
 11) PROVISO. SUBMIT TWO SETS OF THE SIGNED AND SEALED
 VIBRO COMPACTION FINAL TEST REPORT STATING THE
 ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURES OF THE IMPROVED SOILS. AT
 THE BOTTOM OF PAGE 18 OF THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT,DATED
 MARCH 9, 2018, STATES THAT FOR THIS PROJECT THE VR
 SUPPORTED FOUNDATIONS MAY BE DESIGNED BASED ON AN
 ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURE OF 5,000 PSF AND THAT THE
 FINAL DESIGN VALUE MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER BUT THEY
 DON'T EXPECT A VALUE GREATER THAN 8,000 PSF. ON PAGE 19
 OF THE GEOTECHNICAL REPORT,DATED MARCH 9, 2018, AN
 ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURE OF 5,000 PSF IS SPECIFIED.
 THE REVISED REPORT DATED MAY 14, 2018 STATES THAT THE
 VR SUPPORTED FOUNDATIONS MAY BE DESIGNED BASED ON AN
 ALLOWABLE BEARING PRESSURE BETWEEN 5,000 PSF AND 8,000
 PSF.
 ON SHEET S-000 OF THE PLANS UNDER FOOTINGS, F1 HAS THE
 BEARING PRESSURE AS 8,000 PSF. PLEASE REVIEW THE
 REQUIRED BEARING PRESSURE FOR YOUR DESIGN.

 14) WHEN RESUBMITTING, IT IS HELPFUL TO PROVIDE A
 RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE

 CORRECTED PLAN SHEETS INTO THE SETS, REMOVE THE
 PREVIOUSLY REVIEWED SHEETS AND MARK VOID ON THEM, AND
