 CHECKLIST.
 CODE: FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 1) THE OWNER OR OWNER'S LEGALLY AUTHORIZED AGENT NEED
 TO CERTIFY AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ENERGY CALCULATIONS
 PRIOR TO RECEIVING THE PERMIT AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 R103.1.1.2 FBC-ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 2) PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE
 FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY FOR TENANT SEPARATION WITH THE
 APT ON THE SECOND FLOOR. NOTE: TENANT SEPARATION WALL
 DETAIL "F" ON SHEET S1A DOESN'T PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS
 FOR APPROVED HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY. IT ONLY SPECIFIES THE
 WALL ASSEMBLY UL-U311. PROVIDE COMPLETE DETAILS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS FOR APPROVED HORIZONTAL FIRE RATED
 ASSEMBLY AS REQUIRED . SEC. 420.3 FBC.
  
 RESPONSE:
 NEW DETAIL "G" ON SHEET S1A:
 A) THE TIME ASSIGNED FOR WOOD JOISTS IS 10 MINUTES NOT
 20 MINUTES. SEE TABLE 722.6.2(2). REVISE AS REQUIRED.
 NOTE: KEEP IN MIND THAT NEED TO GET 1 HOUR FIRE RATED
 HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY. NEED TO REVISE ASSEMBLY TO MEET
 THE ONE HOUR FIRE RATING.
  
 B) PROVIDE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FLOOR
 ASSEMBLY SUB FLOORING AND FINISH FLOOR AS REQUIRED BY
 SEC. 722.6.2.4. FBC.
  
 C) PROVIDE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ADDITIONAL
 PROTECTION OF THE FLOOR ASSEMBLY AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 722.6.2.4. FBC.
  
 D) PROVIDE COMPLETE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FASTENING OF
 THE FLOOR ASSEMBLY FRAMING MEMBERS AND MEMBRANES
 (PLYWOOD, GYPSUM BOARD ETC) AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 722.6.2.6 FBC.
  
 E) THERE IS A FIRE NOTE ABOVE NEW DETAIL "G" THAT
 SPECIFIES 2 LAYERS OF 1/2" TYPE X GYPSUM BOARD.
 COORDINATE THIS INFORMATION WITH DETAIL G AND ALL WALL
 SECTIONS TO AVOID CONFUSION/DISCREPANCIES. SEC. 107.2.1
 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 3) INFORMATION ON DRAWINGS NEED TO BE COORDINATED.
 INFORMATION ON TENANT SEPARATION HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY
 DETAIL "G" NEEDS TO BE COORDINATED WITH CEILING
 INFORMATION ON ALL WALL SECTION DETAILS SHOWN ON SHEET
 S1 AND SHEET S1A. REVISE AS REQUIRED TO MATCH. SEC.
 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 4) CEILING INFORMATION UNDER THE EXISTING STAIRS DETAIL
 ON SHEET S1 WAS REVISED. PREVIOUS DETAIL SPECIFIED 2
 LAYERS OF 5/8" FIRE RATED GYPSUM BOARD. NEW DETAIL
 SPECIFIES ONLY ONE LAYER. CLARIFY/REVISE AS REQUIRED.
 NEED TO PROVIDE ONE HOUR FIRE RATED TENANT SEPARATION
 ASSEMBLY WITH THE ABOVE UNIT. SEC. 420.3 FBC.
 COORDINATE WITH ITEM #2 ABOVE.
  
 5) ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS,
 AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING AS REQUIRED BY SEC.
 801.3 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING. SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 SOUND TRANSMISSION FOR FLOOR/CEILING ASSEMBLY.
 FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT
 SOUND INSULATION MATERIAL:
 A) PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF THE FLAME SPREAD INDEX AND SMOKE
 DEVELOPED INDEX TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 84
 OR UL 723 AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 720.1 OF FBC 6TH EDITION
 (2017).
  
 B) PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF THE SOUND TRANSMISSION CLASS
 (STC) TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 90 AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 1207.2 OF FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 C) PROVIDE 2 COPIES OF THE IMPACT INSULATION CLASS
 (IIC) TEST DONE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM E 492 AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 1207.3 OF FBC 6TH EDITION (2017).
  
 RESPONSE:
 ICC EVALUATION REPORT ESR-2540 SUBMITTED IS FOR 2X10
 WOOD JOIST FLOOR ASSEMBLIES. THIS DOESN'T MATCH
 EXISTING FLOOR FRAMING. PROVIDE COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 ABOVE A, B AND C SOUND INSULATION REQUIREMENTS.
 NOTE: COORDINATE WITH HORIZONTAL TENANT ASSEMBLY DETAIL
 G TO AVOID CONFLICTS/DELAYS.
  
  
 6) PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 NOTE: THIS MAY BE SUBMITTED LATER AS DEFERRED
 SUBMITTAL, BUT BEFORE INSTALLATION (NO FEES).
  
 A) FLAT ROOF. AND, CLEARLY MARK WHICH APPROVED ASSEMBLY
 IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE
 DESIGN PRESSURES OF SEC. 1609 FBC. NOTE: IF THE
 SELECTED ASSEMBLY DOESN'T MEET THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR
 ALL ROOF ZONES, THEN SIGNED AND SEALED RAS 117
 CALCULATIONS ARE REQUIRED.
  
 RESPONSE:
 NO PRODUCT APPROVAL WAS SUBMITTED. NEED PRODUCT
 APPROVAL AND SPECIFIC ASSEMBLY TO BE INSTALLED.
  
 B) ROOF TILE ADHESIVE REFERENCED IN ROOF TILE NOA
 15-0915.09 SUBMITTED. ROOF TILE ADHESIVE RTA-1
 SUBMITTED IS NOT THE ONE REFERENCED IN THE NOA FOR CLAY
 TILE. AND, CLEARLY MARK PADDY SIZE.
  
 7- DESIGNER OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ABOVE PRODUCT APPROVALS AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 8) PROVIDE COMPLETE INFORMATION FOR THE FIRE RATING
 ASSEMBLY BELOW THE STAIRS AND BY THE PANTRY CLOSET ON
 FIRST FLOOR KITCHEN. SEC. 420.2 AND 420.3 FBC.
  
 RESPONSE:
 SPECIFIED ASSEMBLY DOESN'T PROVIDE 1 HOUR FIRE RATED
 ASSEMBLY. COORDINATE WITH ITEM #4 ABOVE.

 WITH RESPECT TO EVALUATION OF DESIGN PROFESSIONALS?
 DOCUMENTS, IF A LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINDS IT NECESSARY, IN
 ORDER TO ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE AND ISSUE A PERMIT, TO REJECT DESIGN DOCUMENTS
 REQUIRED BY THE CODE THREE OR MORE TIMES FOR FAILURE TO
 CORRECT A CODE VIOLATION SPECIFICALLY AND CONTINUOUSLY
 NOTED IN EACH REJECTION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
 EGRESS, FIRE PROTECTION, STRUCTURAL STABILITY, ENERGY,
 ACCESSIBILITY, LIGHTING, VENTILATION, ELECTRICAL,
 MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND GAS SYSTEMS, OR OTHER
 REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED BY RULE OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 COMMISSION ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 120, THE LOCAL
 GOVERNMENT SHALL IMPOSE, EACH TIME AFTER THE THIRD SUCH
 REVIEW THE PLANS ARE REJECTED FOR THAT CODE VIOLATION,
 A FEE OF FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPORTION OF THE
 PERMIT FEE ATTRIBUTED TO PLANS REVIEW

 ENGINEER OF RECORD TO PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER
 ADDRESSING EACH COMMENT TO AVOID PLAN REVIEW FEES AS
 REQUIRED BY FLORIDA STATUTE 553.80(2)(B).

 DRAWING. SUBMIT OLD DRAWINGS FOR REFERENCE OF ALREADY
