 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2017 EXISTING BUILDING CODE. 801.3 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW
 CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND SPACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA
 BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) 2017 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE W 2017 WEST PALM BEACH
 AMENDMENTS TO THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, CHAPTER 1,
 ADMINISTRATION 107.2.1.4 QUALITY OF BUILDING PLANS.
 BUILDING PLANS SHALL BE DRAWN TO A MINIMUM 1/8 INCH
 SCALE UPON SUBSTANTIAL PAPER, CLOTH OR OTHER ACCEPTABLE
 MEDIUM. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL MAY ESTABLISH THROUGH
 DEPARTMENTAL POLICY, OTHER STANDARDS FOR PLANS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE CONFORMITY TO ITS
 RECORD RETENTION PROGRAM. THIS POLICY MAY INCLUDE SUCH
 THINGS AS MINIMUM SIZE, SHAPE, CONTRAST, CLARITY, OR
 OTHER ITEMS RELATED TO RECORDS MANAGEMENT. ELECTRONIC
 MEDIA MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE ARCHIVE REQUIREMENTS
 OF FLORIDA STATUTES.
  
 2) . SINCE THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH IS APPLYING FOR
 A PERMIT AND GOING FOR THE CONTRACTOR EXEMPTION UNDER F
 S 489.103(3) THE PERSON CREATING THE PLANS STILL HAS TO
 TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THE PLANS. THE CONTRACTOR (QUALIFIER)
 THAT CREATED / DRAWN THE SET OF PLANS WILL NEED TO
 IDENTIFY THEMSELVES AS THE AUTHOR OF THE PLANS. PLEASE
 PRINT YOUR NAME, SIGN YOUR NAME AND LICENSE NUMBER FOR
 THE TRADE YOU ARE LICENSED IN AND PLANS DRAWN.
 107.3.4.3 CERTIFICATION BY CONTRACTOR.
 3) 107.3.5 MINIMUM PLAN REVIEW CRITERIA FOR BUILDINGS.

 4) THE PLANS DO NOT INDICATE TO WHAT CODE THEY WERE
 DEVELOPED NOR DO THEY INDICATE UNDER THE 2017
 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE TO WHICH METHOD AND OR
 ALTERATION LEVEL THEY WERE DESIGNED.
  
 2017 FBC-EXIST. BUILD. CODE 301.1. THE ALTERATION OF
 ALL EXISTING BUILDINGS SHALL COMPLY WITH ONE OF THE
 METHODS LISTED IN SECTIONS 301.1.1 THROUGH 301.1.3 AS
 SELECTED BY THE APPLICANT. SECTIONS 301.1.1 THROUGH
 301.1.3 SHALL NOT BE APPLIED IN COMBINATION WITH EACH
 OTHER.
  
 5) PLEASE BE AWARE THE VALUE OF THE PROJECT MAYBE
 UNDERVALUED AND WOULD NEED TO COMPLY WITH:

 FOR LOCATION AS PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CODE
 CONGRESS.
  
 6) PLEASE ALSO SHOW HOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE 2017
 ACCESSIBILITY CODE WILL BE ACCOMPLISHED SEE SECTION:
  
 202.4.1 DISPROPORTIONATE COST.
 ALTERATIONS MADE TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA WILL BE DEEMED
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE OVERALL ALTERATION WHEN THE
 COST EXCEEDS 20% OF THE COST OF THE ALTERATION TO THE
 PRIMARY FUNCTION AREA. COSTS THAT MAY BE COUNTED AS
 EXPENDITURES REQUIRED TO PROVIDE AN ACCESSIBLE PATH OF
 TRAVEL MAY INCLUDE: (I) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING
 AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE AND AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE

 AS RELOCATING THE TELEPHONE TO AN ACCESSIBLE HEIGHT,
 INSTALLING AMPLIFICATION DEVICES, OR INSTALLING A TEXT
 TELEPHONE (TTY); (IV) COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATING
 AN INACCESSIBLE DRINKING FOUNTAIN.
  
 202.4.2 ACCESSIBLE FEATURES IN THE EVENT OF
 DISPROPORTIONALITY. WHEN THE COST OF ALTERATIONS
 NECESSARY TO MAKE THE PATH OF TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED
 AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST
 OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION, THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE
 MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE EXTENT THAT IT CAN BE MADE
 ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT INCURRING DISPROPORTIONATE COSTS. IN
 CHOOSING WHICH ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS TO PROVIDE, PRIORITY
 SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE ELEMENTS THAT WILL PROVIDE THE
 GREATEST ACCESS, IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER: (I) AN
 ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE; (II) AN ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE
 ALTERED AREA; (III) AT LEAST ONE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM
 FOR EACH SEX OR A SINGLE UNISEX RESTROOM; (IV)
 ACCESSIBLE TELEPHONES; (V) ACCESSIBLE DRINKING
 FOUNTAINS; AND (VI) WHEN POSSIBLE, ADDITIONAL
 ACCESSIBLE ELEMENTS SUCH AS PARKING, STORAGE, AND
 ALARMS.
  
 7) PERMIT APPLICATION O/ B SIGNATURE NOT NOTARIZED.
 VALUE OVER $2,500.00 IN VALUE.
  
 8) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY. A TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL
 REVIEW COMMENT NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE
 REVISION MADE, IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION
 PAGE WHERE THE CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO
 EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANTICIPATED

 A THOROUGH REVIEW OF THE PLANS COULD NOT HAPPEN SINCE
 THERE WAS A GREAT DEFICIENCY IN PLANS AND REQUIRED
 DOCUMENTATION. WITH THE NEXT PLAN REVIEW CYCLE THERE
 MAYBE ADDITIONAL REVIEW COMMENTS BECAUSE OF NEW PLANS
 AND INFORMATION LACKING UNDER THE PRIOR REVIEW.
