 (A) APPLICABILITY. THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE AND
 THE PUBLIC ART ASSESSMENT SECTION SHALL APPLY TO ALL
 PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, INCLUDING NEW
 CONSTRUCTION, OR THE RENOVATION OR IMPROVEMENT OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING, WHERE TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS ARE
 EQUAL TO OR GREATER THAN $750,000.00. ALL BUILDINGS
 WITHIN NEW PLANNED DEVELOPMENTS SHALL BE ASSESSED
 CUMULATIVELY TOWARDS THIS ART IN PUBLIC PLACES
 REQUIREMENT, EVEN IF THE BUILDINGS ARE PERMITTED
 SEPARATELY OR DEVELOPED IN PHASES. THE PROVISIONS OF
 THIS SECTION APPLY TO NEW DEVELOPMENT OR NEW

 THRESHOLD BUILDING / FL S. S. 553.71(7) "THRESHOLD
 BUILDING" MEANING ANY BUILDING WHICH IS GREATER THAN
 (3) STORIES OR 50 FT. IN HEIGHT, OR WHICH HAS AN
 ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION AS DENIED IN THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE WHICH EXCEEDS 5,000 SQ. FT. IN
 AREA AND AN OCCUPANT CONTENT OF GREATER THAN 500
 PERSONS.
  
 A) FBC (CITY AMENDMENTS)110.8.1 THRESHOLD INSPECTION
 PLAN. THE ENFORCING AGENCY SHALL REQUIRE A SPECIAL
 INSPECTOR TO PERFORM STRUCTURAL INSPECTIONS ON A
 THRESHOLD BUILDING PURSUANT TO A STRUCTURAL INSPECTION
 PLAN PREPARED BY THE ENGINEER OF RECORD. THE STRUCTURAL
 INSPECTION PLAN MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE ENFORCING
 AGENCY PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OF A BUILDING PERMIT FOR
 THE CONSTRUCTION OF A THRESHOLD BUILDING. THE PURPOSE
 OF THE STRUCTURAL INSPECTION PLAN IS TO PROVIDE
 SPECIFIC INSPECTION PROCEDURES AND SCHEDULES SO THAT
 THE BUILDING CAN BE ADEQUATELY INSPECTED FOR COMPLIANCE
 WITH THE PERMITTED DOCUMENTS.

 BUILDINGS A SPECIAL INSPECTOR AS REQUIRED BY 553.79(5)
 FLORIDA STATUTES TO THE MINIMUM INSPECTIONS REQUIRED BY
 THIS CODE. THE THRESHOLD INSPECTION FORMS ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE FILED OUT BY ALL PARTIES WITH INTEREST, NOTARIZED
 AND RETURNED TO THIS OFFICE, AND REVIEWED AND APPROVED
 BEFORE PERMIT ISSUANCE WILL TAKE PLACE.
  
 C) THRESHOLD BLDG. REQUIRED STATEMENT: W.P.B. AMENDMENT
 110.8.4.4 ALL PLANS FOR THE BUILDING WHICH ARE REQUIRED
 TO BE SIGNED AND SEALED BY THE ARCHITECT OR ENGINEER OF
 RECORD CONTAIN A STATEMENT THAT, TO THE BEST OF THE
 ARCHITECT'S OR ENGINEER'S KNOWLEDGE, THE PLANS AND
 SPECIFICATIONS COMPLY WITH THE APPLICABLE MINIMUM
 BUILDING CODES AND THE APPLICABLE FIRE-SAFETY STANDARDS

 HEREIN. THE BUILDING OFFICIAL OR HIS DESIGNEE WILL
 REVIEW THE RESUME. AFTER THE RESUME IS REVIEWED, AN
 INTERVIEW WILL BE SCHEDULED. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES
 WILL AN INSPECTOR BE INTERVIEWED FOR WORK WITHOUT FIRST
 MEETING THE ABOVE CRITERIA.
  
 E) THE CONTRACTOR WILL PRODUCE A JOB SUMMARY OR HISTORY
 FOR THIS TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION.

 AGENCY FOR RECORDKEEPING. EACH SHORING AND RESHORING
 INSTALLATION SHALL BE SUPERVISED, INSPECTED AND
 CERTIFIED TO BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE SHORING
 DOCUMENTS BY THE CONTRACTOR.

 SUB-PERMITS M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS SIGNED BY THE
 QUALIFIER OF EACH COMPANY, THEIR INSURANCES AND
 LICENSURE UP TO DATE, THE M-E-P AND ROOFING PERMITS ARE
 FREE OF CHARGE. IF THE M-E-P & ROOFING PERMITS COME IN
 LATER THERE WILL BE AN $80.00 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE FOR
 EACH PERMIT.
  
 ALL OTHER PERMITS FIRE SPRINKLER, FIRE ALARM, RACK
 STORAGE, EXHAUST HOODS, ANSUL SYSTEMS OR ALTERNATIVE
 AUTOMATIC FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEMS, WALK IN COOLERS &
 FREEZERS, ALL LOW VOLTAGE PERMITS, GENERATORS & FUEL
 TANKS, GAS PERMIT, POOL, JACUZZI AND ASSOCIATED
 SUB-PERMITS, AWNING, SCREEN ENCLOSURES, CANOPY, FENCE,
 LANDSCAPE, IRRIGATION, AUGER CAST PILE AND OR
 FOUNDATION OR STRUCTURE ONLY PERMIT WILL BE SEPARATE
 REVIEWS AND ASSOCIATED FEES WITH EACH PERMIT.
 PLEASE PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED LIST AND SUBTRACT THESE LINE
 ITEMS AND THEIR VALUE FROM THE OVERALL BUILDING VALUE
 STATED ON THE PERMIT APPLICATION FOR THIS PROJECT. THE
 REMAINING BALANCE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE THE VALUE OF THE
 BUILDING THAT THE PERMIT FEES WILL BE BASED ON FOR THIS

 SEALED BY THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL OF RECORD AS REQUIRED
 BY FS 471 OR FS 481 AND ARE MARKED "NOT FOR
 CONSTRUCTION".
  
 6) THE CODE ANALYSIS ON SHEET A-1.00A, SPECIFIES THE
 HOTEL AND EXTENDED STAY ROOMS AS OCCUPANCY GROUP AS
 R-1. THE EXTENDED STAY ROOMS PROVIDE COMPLETE
 INDEPENDENT LIVING FACILITIES INCLUDING PERMANENT
 PROVISIONS FOR COOKING AND MEET THE DEFINITION OF A
 DWELLING UNIT IN CHAPTER 2 OF THE BUILDING CODE. WILL
 THE EXTENDED STAY ROOMS BE RENTED OR LEASED TO THE SAME
 OCCUPANT FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS? IF SO, THEY ARE
 CLASSIFIED AS HOTEL (NON-TRANSIENT) AND GROUP R-2. THIS
 WILL REQUIRE THESE ROOMS TO TO COMPLY WITH FAIR HOUSING
 GUIDELINES. FBC SECTION 310
  
 7) SUBMIT THE APPROPRIATE FORMS TO SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH
 THE SECTION C401.2 OF THE 2014 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION.
  
 8) SUBMIT A GEOTECHNICAL (SOIL INVESTIGATION) REPORT
 FOR THE PROJECT. FBC 1803
  
 9) FBC ACCESSIBILITY SECTION 208.2.4 REQUIRES ONE VAN
 PARKING SPACE FOR EVERY SIX OR FRACTION OF SIX
 ACCESSIBLE PARKING SPACES. SPECIFY THE LOCATION OF THE
 DESIGNATED VAN PARKING SPACES ON THE PLANS.
  
 10) THE OVERALL FLOOR PLANS LEGEND AND NOTES ON SHEET
 A-2.00 SPECIFIES THAT A SHADED AREA WILL BE INDICATED
 WHERE THE 8'-3" CLEAR AREA FOR VAN PARKING AND DRIVEWAY
 WILL BE PROVIDED. I DID NOT SEE THIS ON THE PLANS.

 HOUR FIRE RATED WALLS AND A LINE OF DASHES IS USED FOR

 17) SPECIFY THE LIVE LOADS REQUIRED BY FBC TABLE 1607.1

 BUILDING IS AN OPEN GARAGE. THIS DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE
 AN OPEN GARAGE. THE OPENINGS DO NOT MEET THE
 REQUIREMENT OF FBC 406.5.2 FOR BEING UNIFORMLY
 DISTRIBUTED ON AT LEAST TWO SIDES OF THE STRUCTURE. THE
 CALCULATIONS FOR THE AREA OF OPENINGS IN THE EXTERIOR
 WALLS APPEARS TO BE INCORRECT. FBC 406.5 REQUIRES THE
 AREA OF SUCH OPENINGS IN EXTERIOR WALLS ON A TIER TO BE
 NOT LESS THAN 20 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL PERIMETER WALL
 AREA OF EACH TIER. REVISE PLANS FOR AN ENCLOSED GARAGE.
  
 19) THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE CALCULATIONS FOR THE 25
 PERCENT ALLOWABLE AREA OF EXTERIOR WALL OPENINGS FOR
 THE WEST BUILDING ELEVATION. FBC 705.8.1 STATES THAT
 THE MAXIMUM AREA OF UNPROTECTED AND PROTECTED OPENINGS
 IN AN EXTERIOR WALL IN ANY STORY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE
 PERCENTAGES SPECIFIED IN TABLE 705.8. THE TABLE ALLOWS
 25 PERCENT OPENINGS FOR A FIRE SEPARATION DISTANCE OF 5
 FEET TO LESS THAN 10 FEET. THE OPENING AREA IN THE WALL
 OF THE PARKING GARAGE EXCEEDS THE ALLOWABLE OPENING
 AREA ON THE GROUND STORY AND THE MEZZANINE STORY.THE
 OPENINGS IN THE WALLS OF EACH STORY OF THE TOWERS ON

 NEW FLOOD MAPS ON OCTOBER 5, 2017. THESE NEW MAPS USE
 NAVD 88 AS THE VERTICAL DATUM. IN ORDER TO AVOID ANY
 CONFUSION WITH ELEVATIONS IT WOULD BE GOOD TO REPLACE
 THE ELEVATIONS ON THE PLANS WITH THE CURRENT VERTICLE
 DATUM, NAVD 88 OR TO PROVIDE BOTH THE NAVD AND THE NGVD
 ELEVATIONS ON THE PLANS. FBC 107.2.1

 RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH ITEM ALONG WITH THE
