 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) THE COVERSHEET A0.0 LIST THE BUILDING CONSTRUCTION
 TYPE AND INDICATES THE AMERICAN LEGION MEETS THERE, AND
 THE BUILDING IS OWNED BY THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH
 (TITLE II). WHAT THE DESIGNER OF RECORD HAS NOT
 DECLARED IS THE OCCUPANCY, THIS MAY BE A MIXED USE
 BUILDING DEPENDING ON THE FUNCTION OF THE BUILDING, A
 BANQUET HALL WITH TABLE AND CHAIRS, USED FOR MEETINGS
 WITH CHAIRS ONLY AND OR AS A DANCE HALL OR EVENT HALL
 WITH A MIXTURE OF ALL THREE. PLEASE PROVIDE AN
 OCCUPANCY TYPE.
  
 2014 FBC-B SECTION 302.1. STRUCTURES OR PORTIONS OF
 STRUCTURES SHALL BE CLASSIFIED WITH RESPECT TO
 OCCUPANCY IN ONE OR MORE OF THE GROUPS LISTED IN THIS
 SECTION. A ROOM OR SPACE THAT IS INTENDED TO BE
 OCCUPIED AT DIFFERENT TIMES FOR DIFFERENT PURPOSES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE
 APPLICABLE TO EACH OF THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE ROOM
 OR SPACE WILL BE OCCUPIED. STRUCTURES WITH MULTIPLE
 OCCUPANCIES OR USES SHALL COMPLY WITH SECTION 508.
  
 2) SHEET A2.0 PROVIDES A TABLE LISTING THE SQUARE FOOT
 AREA OF THE ROOMS BUT DOES NOT PROVIDE THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD FOR THE ROOMS AND OVERALL TOTAL OCCUPANT LOAD.
 OCCUPANT LOADS TO BE USED IN :
  
 TABLE 1004.1.2 OF THE 2014 FBC-B. A ROOM OR SPACE THAT
 IS INTENDED TO BE OCCUPIED AT DIFFERENT TIMES FOR
 DIFFERENT PURPOSES SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE
 REQUIREMENTS THAT ARE APPLICABLE TO EACH OF THE
 PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE ROOM OR SPACE WILL BE OCCUPIED
 THE MOST RESTRICTIVE WOULD APPLY.
  
 2014 FBC-B 201, FLOOR AREA, NET. THE ACTUAL OCCUPIED
 AREA NOT INCLUDING UNOCCUPIED ACCESSORY AREAS SUCH AS
 CORRIDORS, STAIRWAYS, TOILET ROOMS, MECHANICAL ROOMS
 AND CLOSETS.
  
 FLOOR AREA, GROSS. THE FLOOR AREA WITHIN THE INSIDE
 PERIMETER OF THE EXTERIOR WALLS OF THE BUILDING UNDER
 CONSIDERATION, EXCLUSIVE OF VENT SHAFTS AND COURTS,
 WITHOUT DEDUCTION FOR CORRIDORS, STAIRWAYS, CLOSETS,
 THE THICKNESS OF INTERIOR WALLS, COLUMNS OR OTHER
 FEATURES. THE FLOOR AREA OF A BUILDING, OR PORTION
 THEREOF, NOT PROVIDED WITH SURROUNDING EXTERIOR WALLS
 SHALL BE THE USABLE AREA UNDER THE HORIZONTAL
 PROJECTION OF THE ROOF OR FLOOR ABOVE. THE GROSS FLOOR
 AREA SHALL NOT INCLUDE SHAFTS WITH NO OPENINGS OR
 INTERIOR COURTS.
  
 3) SHEET A2.0 SHOWS PROPOSED WORK IN BOTH THE MENS &
 WOMENS RESTROOMS. THE COVERSHEET INDICATES A LEVEL 2
 ALTERATION. 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3
 COMPLIANCE. ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS,
 SYSTEMS, AND SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS
 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING. ALSO UNDER THE
 LEVEL II ALTERATIONS OF THE 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE
 SECTION 806.1 A BUILDING, FACILITY, OR ELEMENT THAT HAS
 IS ALTERED SHALL COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, ACCESSIBILITY. PLEASE NOTE THE
 NEW LAYOUT OF BOTH THE MENS AND WOMENS RESTROOMS DOES
 NOT COMPLY WITH THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE 604.3.1 SIZE,
 604.3.2 OVERLAP NOR 604.8.1.6.
  
 4) SHEET A2.1 DETAILS IN BOTH THE MENS AND WOMENS
 RESTROOMS THE MIRRORS ARE SHOWN ABOVE THE MAXIMUM
 HEIGHT OF 40 INCHES TO THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE
 REFLECTIVE MIRROR SURFACE. ACCESS. CODE 603.3.
  
 5) WHEN THE OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION IS GIVEN AND THE
 OCCUPANT LOAD IS KNOWN PLEASE REVIEW SECTION 810.1 OF
 THE EXISTING BUILDING CODE TO SEE IF THE FIXTURE COUNT
 HAS BEEN MET.
  
 6) SHEET A2.0 ALSO SHOWS WORK AT THE BAR AREA. SHEET
 A2.2 DETAIL # 10 SHOWS THE BAR TOP AT A HEIGHT OF 3?-6?
 OR 42 INCHES TALL. PLEASE SHOW A PORTION OF THE BAR
 MEETING THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE 226.1 WHERE DINING
 SURFACES ARE PROVIDED FOR THE CONSUMPTION OF FOOD OR
 DRINK, AT LEAST 5 PERCENT OF THE SEATING SPACES AND
 STANDING SPACES AT THE DINING SURFACES SHALL COMPLY
 WITH 902. 902.1 .DINING SURFACES AND WORK SURFACES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 902.2 AND 902.3. ADVISORY 902.1
 GENERAL. DINING SURFACES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED
 TO, BARS, TABLES, LUNCH COUNTERS, AND BOOTHS.
  
 6)(A) 902.2 CLEAR FLOOR OR GROUND SPACE. A CLEAR FLOOR
 SPACE COMPLYING WITH 305 POSITIONED FOR A FORWARD
 APPROACH SHALL BE PROVIDED. KNEE AND TOE CLEARANCE
 COMPLYING WITH 306 SHALL BE PROVIDED.
  
 6)(B) 902.3 HEIGHT. THE TOPS OF DINING SURFACES AND
 WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES MINIMUM AND 34 INCHES
 MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 7) SHEET A2.2 SHOWS A NEW EXHAUST HOOD. HOOD AND
 SUPPRESSION ARE REVIEWED UNDER SEPARATE PERMITS.
 2801.1 SCOPE.
 MECHANICAL APPLIANCES, EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS SHALL BE
 CONSTRUCTED, INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED IN ACCORDANCE
 WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, MECHANICAL AND THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, FUEL GAS.
  
 8) SHEET S1.0 THE DESIGN PRESSURES FOR THE COMPONENTS
 AND CLADDING ARE LOW AND THE SAME FOR 10SQ. FT. 20 SQ.
 FT. AND 30 SQ. FT. 2014 FBC-B TABLE 1609.6.2. & TABLE
 R301.2(2). UNTIL THE PRESSURES ARE CORRECTED THE
 PRODUCT APPROVALS CANNOT BE EVALUATED.
  
 9) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
