 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 1) SHEET AE-1.0 AN ARCHITECTS PLAN THAT IS SIGNED AND
 SEALED HAS BLUE PIN DRAWN ON TOP OF THE SIGNED AND
 SEALED PLANS. PLANS CANNOT BE ALTERED ONCE THE DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL SIGNS AND SEALS THE PLANS.
  
 FL ADMIN CODE 61G16.003(1) ARCHITECTS. PLANS,
 SPECIFICATIONS, REPORTS OR OTHER DOCUMENTS PREPARED BY
 THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL AND BEING FILED FOR PUBLIC
 RECORD SHALL HAVE THE SIGNATURE AND SEAL OF THE DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL AFFIXED TO THE DOCUMENT.
  
 2) SHEET AE-1.0 UNDER THE HEADING OF GENERAL NOTES # 1
 INDICATES ALL WORK SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH
 FBC-SECTION 44 THE HIGH VELOCITY HURRICANE ZONE. PLEASE
 BE ADVISED ONLY BROWARD AND MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ARE UNDER
 THE HIGH VELOCITY HURRICANE SECTIONS REQUIRED BY THE
 CODE, PLEASE CORRECT.
  
 3) SHEET AE-1.0 INDICATES THE REMOVAL OF WALLS BETWEEN
 TENANT SPACES CREATING A SINGLE TENANT SPACE.
 THE PLANS ARE SILENT ABOUT THE WALL BEING REMOVED, IF
 THE WALL IS A LOAD BEARING WALL REQUIRING HEADERS, AND
 JACK STUDS OR IF THE SECTION OF WALL BEING REMOVED IS
 NON-LOADBEARING WALL? 107.2.1.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
 IS REQUIRED.
  
 4) SHEET AE-1.0 ALSO INDICATES A RECEPTIONIST/ CASHIER
 SERVICE COUNTER BUT THERE ARE NO DETAILS PROVIDING CODE
 COMPLIANCE FOR THE 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE
 SECTIONS:
 904.3.3 CHECK WRITING SURFACES. WHERE PROVIDED, CHECK
 WRITING SURFACES SHALL COMPLY WITH 902.3.
 902.3 HEIGHT.
 THE TOPS OF WORK SURFACES SHALL BE 28 INCHES MINIMUM
 AND 34 INCHES MAXIMUM ABOVE THE FINISH FLOOR OR GROUND.
  
 5) PLEASE NOTE THERE MAYBE ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ABOUT
 ROOF TOP CURBS, INTAKE AND EXHAUST FANS AND THE
 ANCHORING OF THESE UNITS TO THE CURRENT WIND LOADS
 BECAUSE OF CODE REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE MECHANICAL CODE.
 FOR ALL ROOF TOP EQUIPMENT, CURBS, FANS OR A/C STANDS,
 DETAILED ATTACHMENT TO THE ROOF FRAMING & DECK AS WELL
 AS FROM THE CURB OR ROOF STAND TO THE EQUIPMENT ABOVE.
  
 2014 FBC-B 1604.4 ANALYSIS. LOAD EFFECTS ON STRUCTURAL
 MEMBERS AND THEIR CONNECTIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY
 METHODS OF STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS THAT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT
 EQUILIBRIUM, GENERAL STABILITY, GEOMETRIC COMPATIBILITY
 AND BOTH SHORT- AND LONG-TERM MATERIAL PROPERTIES.
 EVERY STRUCTURE SHALL BE DESIGNED TO RESIST THE
 OVERTURNING EFFECTS CAUSED BY THE LATERAL FORCES
 SPECIFIED IN THIS CHAPTER. SEE SECTION 1609 FOR WIND
 LOADS.
  
 6) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
