 CHECKLIST.
 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 ORIGINAL COMMENT:
 1- THE VALUE OF THE IMPROVEMENT IS MORE THAN $300.000.
 NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE ROOF TO WALL CONNECTIONS
 ACCORDING TO SEC. 708.8 OF FBC-EXISTING BUILDING CODE,
 5TH EDITION (2014). SHOW COMPLIANCE.
  
 RESPONSE:
 A) THE COST ESTIMATE LETTER FROM HORIZON CUSTOM BUILDER
 INC. TO PROVIDE ROOF TO WALL CONNECTIONS IS INCORRECT.
 THE LETTER IS REFERENCING A BUILDING WITH 12 CORNERS.
 THERE ARE TWO BUILDINGS IN THIS PROPERTY. THE ROOFING
 PERMIT APPLICATION IS FOR THE REAR BUILDING AND IT
 DOESN'T HAVE 12 CORNERS. REVISE LETTER AS REQUIRED.
 SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
  
 B) NEED TO PROVIDE MORE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE
 FOUR CORNERS OF THE BUILDING ARE GOING TO BE STRAPPED.
 CLEARLY IDENTIFY SPECIFIC STRAP TO BE INSTALLED AND
 NUMBER OF STRAPS AND NAILS PER CORNER. NOTE: ACCORDING
 TO FIGURE R301.2(7) CORNERS ARE 4'-0" X 4'-0" MINIMUM.
 SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 C) LETTER SUBMITTED DOESN'T HAVE ANY SIGNATURE. THE
 LETTER NEEDS TO BE SIGNED BY THE PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR
 THE ESTIMATE. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
