 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 WITH RESPECT TO EVALUATION OF DESIGN PROFESSIONALS?
 DOCUMENTS, IF A LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINDS IT NECESSARY, IN
 ORDER TO ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 CODE AND ISSUE A PERMIT, TO REJECT DESIGN DOCUMENTS
 REQUIRED BY THE CODE THREE OR MORE TIMES FOR FAILURE TO
 CORRECT A CODE VIOLATION SPECIFICALLY AND CONTINUOUSLY
 NOTED IN EACH REJECTION, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO,
 EGRESS, FIRE PROTECTION, STRUCTURAL STABILITY, ENERGY,
 ACCESSIBILITY, LIGHTING, VENTILATION, ELECTRICAL,
 MECHANICAL, PLUMBING, AND GAS SYSTEMS, OR OTHER
 REQUIREMENTS IDENTIFIED BY RULE OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING
 COMMISSION ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 120, THE LOCAL
 GOVERNMENT SHALL IMPOSE, EACH TIME AFTER THE THIRD SUCH
 REVIEW THE PLANS ARE REJECTED FOR THAT CODE VIOLATION,
 A FEE OF FOUR TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE PROPORTION OF THE
 PERMIT FEE ATTRIBUTED TO PLANS REVIEW.
  
 1) COMPLIED.
  
 2) 2ND REQUEST. BEFORE THE 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS WERE
 WRITTEN I TOOK THE ISSUE OF MULTIPLE ENTRY/ EXIT POINTS
 TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL FOR HIS RULING. WE AGREE THAT
 THE BUILDING WAS CUT UP BY MULTIPLE TENANTS, BUT THE
 CODE IN SECTION 1008.1.9.3 OF THE FBC-B CODE IS
 ADDRESSING ALL DOORS THAT LEAD TO THE EXTERIOR.
 YOU CANNOT JUST LOCK UP A DOOR WHEN THE BUILDING IS
 OCCUPIED. IN MAKING THE DOOR INOPERABLE YOU WILL NEED
 TO SHOW THE DOOR IS NO LONGER A DOOR, AN EXAMPLE IF THE
 WINDOW WALLS START THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW AT 3 FEET,
 THEN DO THE SAME WITH THE DOOR SO IT NO LONGER
 RESEMBLES A DOOR, OR WALL IT OVER SO THE DOOR IS NO
 LONGER VISIBLE. PLEASE PROVIDE HOW YOU INTEND TO COMPLY
 WITH THE CODE?
  
 1ST REVIEW COMMENT. SHEET A.0 THE DEMO PLAN NOTE NUMBER
 (10) INDICATES (7) OF THE EXISTING EXIT DOORS ARE TO
 REMAIN IN THE CLOSED & LOCKED POSITION. SHEET A.1 THE
 FLOOR PLAN NOTE NUMBER (13) INDICATES THESE SAME (7) OF
 THE EXISTING EXIT DOORS ARE TO REMAIN IN THE CLOSED &
 LOCKED POSITION.
 PLEASE PROVIDE HOW COMPLIANCE WILL BE ACHIEVED WITH
 CODE SECTION 1008.1.9.3 LOCKS AND LATCHES 2-2.3.
 2. IN BUILDINGS IN OCCUPANCY GROUP A HAVING AN OCCUPANT
 LOAD OF 300 OR LESS, GROUPS B, F, M AND S, AND IN
 PLACES OF RELIGIOUS WORSHIP, THE MAIN EXTERIOR DOOR OR
 DOORS ARE PERMITTED TO BE EQUIPPED WITH KEY-OPERATED
 LOCKING DEVICES FROM THE EGRESS SIDE PROVIDED:
 2.1. THE LOCKING DEVICE IS READILY DISTINGUISHABLE AS
 LOCKED;
 2.2. A READILY VISIBLE DURABLE SIGN IS POSTED ON THE
 EGRESS SIDE ON OR ADJACENT TO THE DOOR STATING: THIS
 DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN BUILDING IS OCCUPIED. THE
 SIGN SHALL BE IN LETTERS 1 INCH (25 MM) HIGH ON A
 CONTRASTING BACKGROUND; AND
 2.3. THE USE OF THE KEY-OPERATED LOCKING DEVICE IS
 REVOKABLE BY THE BUILDING OFFICIAL FOR DUE CAUSE.

 INTERCOM/ PHONE OUTLET ARE ABOVE THE REACH RANGES FOUND

 ALSO VISITORS TO THE SITE MAY NEED TO USE.

 FROM DESIGNING TO THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE. ONE MICROWAVE
 ON THE COUNTER TOP WILL COMPLY WITH THE CODE, BUT HAS
 TO BE DETAILED THAT WAY.

 INDICATES 2 MICROWAVES SITTING ON SHELVING AT A HEIGHT
 OF 4 FOOT 8 INCHES TO THE BOTTOM OF THE MICROWAVE. THIS
 IS ABOVE THE HEIGHT OF EITHER REACH RANGES.

 COMPLIANCE. HOW DO YOU GET ONTO THE SIDEWALK FOR EITHER
 OF THE EGRESS DOORS. ARE BOTH EGRESS DOORS ON BOTH
 SIDES OF THE THRESHOLD AT THE SAME ELEVATION, IF NOT
 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN HEIGHT. THE ACCESSIBILITY
 CODE ONLY ALLOWS FOR ? INCH CHANGE IN ELEVATION SEE
 303.2 AND 303.3.
  
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE LIFE SAFETY LS.1 PLAN DOES
 NOT SHOW WHAT THE CONDITIONS ARE FOR ACCESSIBLE
 ENTRANCES. 2014 ACCESS. CODE 206.4.1 PUBLIC ENTRANCES.
 IN ADDITION TO ENTRANCES REQUIRED BY 206.4.2 THROUGH
 206.4.9, AT LEAST 60 PERCENT OF ALL PUBLIC ENTRANCES
 SHALL COMPLY WITH 404.

 MORE THAN 50 PERCENT OF THE SINGLE USER TOILET ROOMS
 FOR EACH USE AT EACH CLUSTER SHALL BE REQUIRED TO
 COMPLY WITH 603.
 THE COMMENT ABOUT THE DISPROPORTIONATE COST IF THE
 REQUIRED AMOUNT NEEDED TO MEET THEN THIS REQUIREMENT
 DOES NOT NEED TO BE MET BECAUSE DISPROPORTIONALITY WAS
 MET (20% OR UP TO $81,934.00 DOLLARS), THEN THE
 DESIGNER AND CONTRACTOR DOES NOT NEED TO SPEND OVER THE
 REQUIRED 20% OF THE REQUIRED FUNDS, BUT WE DO NEED THE
 ITEMIZED LETTER SHOWING DISPROPORTIONALITY. THIS
 ITEMIZED LIST ON EITHER THE DESIGNER OF RECORD OR
 CONTRACTORS LETTERHEAD IS FILED WITH THE PERMIT
 DOCUMENTS AND RECORDED INTO THE RECORD RETENTION
 PROGRAM.
  
 1ST ROUND OF COMMENTS. THE LIFE SAFETY PLAN NOR SHEET
 A.1 SHOW EXISTING RESTROOMS WITH NO WORK IN EITHER
 RESTROOM. THE PERMIT APPLICATION INDICATES A VALUE FOR
 THIS PROJECT OF $409,670.00 IN VALUE, 20% OF THIS VALUE
 IS $81,934.00 DOLLARS, THIS IS UP TO THE AMOUNT OF
 ACCESSIBLE UPGRADES REQUIRED TO MEET
 DISPROPORTIONALITY. PLEASE PROVIDE AN ITEMIZED LIST ON
 THE BUSINESS LETTER HEAD SHOWING WHERE THIS REQUIREMENT
 HAS BEEN MET AND THE EXISTING RESTROOMS DO NOT NEED TO
 SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH THE ACCESSIBILITY CODE.
  
 2014 FBC-ACCESSIBILITY CODE. 202.4.2 ACCESSIBLE
 FEATURES IN THE EVENT OF DISPROPORTIONALITY. WHEN THE
 COST OF ALTERATIONS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE PATH OF
 TRAVEL TO THE ALTERED AREA FULLY ACCESSIBLE IS
 DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE COST OF THE OVERALL ALTERATION,
 THE PATH OF TRAVEL SHALL BE MADE ACCESSIBLE TO THE
 EXTENT THAT IT CAN BE MADE ACCESSIBLE WITHOUT INCURRING
 DISPROPORTIONATE COSTS. IN CHOOSING WHICH ACCESSIBLE
 ELEMENTS TO PROVIDE, PRIORITY SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE
 ELEMENTS THAT WILL PROVIDE THE GREATEST ACCESS, IN THE
 FOLLOWING ORDER: (I) AN ACCESSIBLE ENTRANCE; (II) AN
 ACCESSIBLE ROUTE TO THE ALTERED AREA; (III) AT LEAST

 8) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE REVISION
 & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES AS
 NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
