 DENIED BY BUILDING
 PLEASE ADDRESS THE ITEMS NOTED BELOW:
  
 1) THIS STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN A SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD
 AREA (SFHA). THE BASE FLOOD ELEVATION (BFE) IS 7' NGVD
 '29. THE PERMIT APPLICATION DATE IS AUGUST 29, 2017.
 THE CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH FLOOD ORDINANCE THAT WAS IN
 EFFECT AT THAT TIME HAS A 1 FOOT FREEBOARD THAT
 REQUIRES THE FINISH FLOOR AND EQUIPMENT TO BE A MINIMUM
 OF ONE FOOT (1') ABOVE THE BFE. THE PLANS SPECIFY A
 FINISH FLOOR ELEVATION OF 8' NGVD WHICH COMPLIES WITH
 THE FLOOD ORDINANCE IN EFFECT AT THE TIME OF
 APPLICATION. NOTE: ELEVATION CERTIFICATES WILL BE
 REQUIRED TO BE SUBMITTED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
  
 2) ON SHEET A.05 THE EAST AND WEST ELEVATIONS SHOW THE
 FINISH FLOOR AT - 3'-0" / NGVD 5'-0". THE FINISH FLOOR
 IS REQUIRED TO BE A MINIMUM OF 8'-0" NGVD. I BELIEVE
 THIS SHOULD BE THE FINISH GRADE RATHER THAN THE FINISH
 FLOOR. PLEASE REVIEW AND CORRECT. FBC 107.2.1
  
 3) THE PLANS SPECIFY CLOSED CELL SPRAY INSULATION AND
 THE PRODUCT EVALUATIONS THAT WERE SUBMITTED ARE FOR
 OPEN CELL SPRAY FOAM INSULATION. NOTE: CLOSED CELL
 INSULATION DOES NOT ALLOW WATER VAPOR TO PASS THROUGH
 IT. IT IS TYPICALLY NOT USED FOR UN-VENTED ATTIC
 INSULATION IN FLORIDA. IF THERE IS A ROOF LEAK THE
 WATER IS TRAPPED BETWEEN THE FOAM AND THE ROOFING
 MATERIAL. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 4) THE FOOT PRINT OF THE STRUCTURE ON THE SURVEY THAT
 WAS SUBMITTED DOES NOT MATCH THE SITE PLAN ON SHEET
 A.02. PLEASE CLARIFY. FBC 107.2.1
  
 5) THE SOIL REPORT FROM GFA RECOMMENDS CLOSED END PIN
 PILES OR HELICAL PIERS DUE TO THE LOOSE SOILS AT THE
 SITE. SUBMIT SIGNED AND SEALED PILE PLACEMENT PLANS
 WITH BEARING CALCULATIONS FROM A FLORIDA LICENSED P.E.
 FBC R401.2
  
 6) WALL SECTIONS B AND C ON SHEET A.07 AND WALL
 SECTIONS A AND B ON A.08 DO NOT MATCH THE STRUCTURAL
 PLANS FOR THE LOGGIA COLUMNS AND BEAMS. THE
 ARCHITECTURAL PLANS SHOW WOOD WRAPPED METAL COLUMNS AND
 PSL WOOD BEAMS. THE STRUCTURAL DRAWINGS HAVE REINFORCED
 MASONRY COLUMNS AND CONCRETE BEAMS. PLEASE COORDINATE
 THE DRAWINGS. FBC107.2.1
  
 7) ON SHEET S.04 SPECIFY THE ANCHORS THAT WILL BE USED
 ON EACH END OF THE GIRDER AT THE LOGGIA NEAR THE FRONT
 DOOR. FBC- R301.1
  
 8) FBC 107.3.4 - PROVIDE TWO SETS OF PRODUCT APPROVALS
 FOR THOSE PRODUCTS WHICH ARE REGULATED BY FAC
 61G20-3.001 PER FLORIDA STATUTE 553.842 (5) THAT HAVE
 BEEN REVIEWED AND APPROVED IN WRITING BY THE DESIGNER
 OF RECORD. PROVIDE TWO COMPLETE PRODUCT APPROVALS WITH
 FL OR NOA NUMBERS INCLUDING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
 AND MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURES FOR EACH OF THE DIFFERENT
 ROOFING MATERIALS, WINDOW/GLASS TYPES, STRUCTURAL
 MULLIONS AND EXTERIOR DOOR TYPES.
  
 9) BOTH OF THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR PRODUCT APPROVALS
 (NOA NO.12-0516.04, NOA NO. 15-0903.09) EXPIRED ON
 8/2/2017, PRIOR TO THE DATE OF PERMIT APPLICATION.
 SUBMIT TWO SETS OF CURRENT PRODUCT APPROVALS FOR THE
 SLIDING GLASS DOORS. FAC 61G20-3
  
 10) THE MODIFIED BITUMEN ROOF SYSTEM THAT WAS SUBMITTED
 (FL5680-R15) HAS A MAXIMUM DESIGN PRESSURE OF -60 PSF.
 THIS IS NOT ADEQUATE FOR THE PERIMETER AND CORNER AREAS
 OF THIS STRUCTURE. THIS STRUCTURE IS LOCATED IN
 EXPOSURE "D" WITH A 170 MPH VULT WINDSPEED, HAS A 5/12
 ROOF SLOPE AND HAS A MEAN ROOF HEIGHT OF 26'-9". SUBMIT
 TWO SETS OF SIGNED AND SEALED ENHANCED FASTENING
 CALCULATIONS FOR THE BASE SHEET. FBC-R 301.2.1
  
 11) ITEM #5 ON THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY FORM R405-2014
 INDICATES THAT THE CALCULATIONS ARE FOR WORST CASE. THE
 2014 FBC ENERGY CONSERVATION SECTION R405.4.2 ALLOWS
 WORST CASE TO BE USED WHEN THE SAME MODEL OF A BUILDING
 IS BEING BUILT ON MULTIPLE LOTS WITH DIFFERENT
 ORIENTATIONS. SINCE THIS IS NOT A MODEL HOME, THE FORM
 HAS TO USE THE ORIENTATION THAT IS SPECIFIC TO THIS
 HOUSE.
  
 12) IN ORDER TO REDUCE PLAN REVIEW TIME, PLEASE SUBMIT
 A RESPONSE LETTER INDICATING HOW EACH OF THE REVIEW
