 16.3.4.1 GENERAL. DAY-CARE OCCUPANCIES, OTHER THAN

 OF A KEY, A TOOL, OR SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE OR EFFORT FOR
 OPERATION FROM THE EGRESS SIDE.
 7.2.1.5.5 KEY-OPERATED LOCKS.
 7.2.1.5.5.1 EXTERIOR DOOR ASSEMBLIES SHALL BE PERMITTED
 TO HAVE KEYOPERATED LOCKS FROM THE EGRESS SIDE,
 PROVIDED THAT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA ARE MET:
 (1) THIS ALTERNATIVE IS PERMITTED IN CHAPTERS 11
 THROUGH 43 FOR THE SPECIFIC OCCUPANCY.
 (2) A READILY VISIBLE, DURABLE SIGN IN LETTERS NOT LESS
 THAN 1 IN. (25 MM) HIGH ON A CONTRASTING BACKGROUND
 THAT READS AS FOLLOWS IS LOCATED ON OR ADJACENT TO THE
 DOOR LEAF: THIS DOOR TO REMAIN UNLOCKED WHEN THE
 BUILDING IS
 OCCUPIED.
 (3) THE LOCKING DEVICE IS OF A TYPE THAT IS READILY
 DISTINGUISHABLE AS LOCKED.
 (4) A KEY IS IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE TO ANY OCCUPANT
 INSIDE THE BUILDING WHEN IT IS LOCKED.

 6) THERE IS NO EXIT SIGN OVER THE REAR DOOR. THIS DOOR

 (3) FLEXIBLE AND OPEN PLAN BUILDINGS

 (5) SHOPS AND LABORATORIES
  
 PLEASE PROVIDE FOR THE REQUIRED EMERGENCY LIGHTING.
  
  
  
 8) THERE IS AN ASSEMBLY SPACE INDICATED NEXT TO THE
 PROPOSED DAYCARE EXPANSION AREA. THERE IS NO FIRE RATED
 SEPARATION INDICATED FOR THIS ESIXTING WALL.
  
 6.1.14.4 SEPARATED OCCUPANCIES.
 6.1.14.4.1 WHERE SEPARATED OCCUPANCIES ARE PROVIDED,
 EACH PART OF THE BUILDING COMPRISING A DISTINCT
 OCCUPANCY, AS DESCRIBED IN THIS CHAPTER, SHALL BE
 COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM OTHER OCCUPANCIES
 BY FIRE-RESISTIVE ASSEMBLIES, AS SPECIFIED IN
 6.1.14.4.2, 6.1.14.4.3, TABLE 6.1.14.4.1(A), AND TABLE
 6.1.14.4.1(B), UNLESS SEPARATION IS PROVIDED BY
 APPROVED EXISTING SEPARATIONS.
