 ADMINISTRATION
  
 2014 EXISTING BUILDING CODE LEVEL II 701.3 COMPLIANCE.
 ALL NEW CONSTRUCTION ELEMENTS, COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS, AND
 SPACES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE
 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, BUILDING.

 ACTION: DENIED
  
 1) PLEASE NOTE THE ADDITIONAL SQUARE FOOTAGE OF AN
 ADJACENT TENANT SPACE WILL BE CONSIDERED A CHANGE IN
 OCCUPANCY, PARTIAL CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION.
 2014 FBC-EXIST. BUILD. CODE. 1001.3.1 PARTIAL CHANGE OF
 OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION. WHERE A PORTION OF AN
 EXISTING BUILDING IS CHANGED TO A NEW OCCUPANCY
 CLASSIFICATION, SECTION 1012 SHALL APPLY. PLEASE UPDATE
 PLANS AS SUCH.
  
 2) PLEASE NOTE WITH THIS BEING A CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY
 THE DESIGNER OF RECORD MUST MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF
 1012.1.1.2 CHANGE OF OCCUPANCY CLASSIFICATION WITH
 SEPARATION. THE ORIGINAL PERMIT # 13050463 COMMENT (1A)
 REQUIRED OCCUPANCY SEPARATION WITH A 2 HR. FIRE RATED
 FIRE BARRIER( FBC-B TABLE 503 DAYCARE- BUSINESS) ON
 EACH SIDE OF THE TENANT SPACE. THE SUBMITTED SET OF
 PLANS STILL SHOWS A ONE HOUR FIRE SEPARATION WALL.
 PROVIDE THE WALL ASSEMBLY, COMPOSITION OF THIS WALL.
  
 3) IN THE NEW AREA WHERE THE TENANT SEPARATION OCCURS
 THE PLANS INDICATE AN ASSEMBLY OCCUPANCY AND BLOCK WALL
 CONSTRUCTION. PLEASE PROVIDE THE ASSEMBLY FOR THIS WALL
 FOR A REQUIRED 2 HR. FIRE BARRIER FOR ASSEMBLY TO A I-4
 OCCUPANCY. UNDER THE 2014 FBC-B THERE IS NO DAYCARE
 OCCUPANCY, YOU WILL SEE UNDER AN I-4 OCCUPANCY DAYCARES
 ARE LISTED.
  
 4) PLEASE PROVIDE THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF CHILDREN AND AGES
 OF THE CHILDREN. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC AS HOW MANY
 CHILDREN THERE WILL BE ATTENDING BETWEEN THE AGES OF
 0-2 YEARS OLD AND 2-11.
 2014 FBC-B 308.6.1. CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0-2
 YEARS OLD ARE CONSIDERED EDUCATIONAL AND THE OCCUPANT
 LOAD IS TAKEN AT 20 SQ. FT./ CHILD. THE DAYCARE (I-4)
 OCCUPANCY IS TAKEN AT 35 SQ. FT. / CHILD. SEE TABLE
 1004.1.2.
  
 5) THE DESIGNER OF RECORD ALSO NEEDS TO PROVIDE
 OCCUPANCY SEPARATION BETWEEN THE 0-2 YEAR OLDS
 (EDUCATIONAL) AND THE I-4 (DAYCARE) 2-11 YEAR OLDS AS
 PER TABLE 1004.1.2 AND OPENING PROTECTIVES IN
 COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B TABLE 716.5.
  
 6) SHEET 1. PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B 466.3
 BATHROOM DOORS. EVERY BATHROOM DOOR LOCK SHALL BE
 DESIGNED TO PERMIT OPENING OF THE LOCKED DOOR FROM THE
 OUTSIDE IN AN EMERGENCY. THE OPENING DEVICE SHALL BE
 READILY ACCESSIBLE TO THE STAFF.
  
 7) SHEET 1. THIS FACILITY IS NO LONGER ONE SINGLE ROOM.
 PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B 466.7 DETECTION AND
 ALARM SYSTEMS. DAY CARE OCCUPANCIES SHALL BE PROVIDED
 WITH A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 907
 AND THIS SECTION.
  
 8) SHEET 1. PLEASE SHOW COMPLIANCE WITH FBC-B:
 2014 FBC-B 466.10.5 SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEMS.
 466.10.5.3 SINGLE-STATION SMOKE ALARMS SHALL BE POWERED
 BY THE BUILDING ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
 466.10.5.4 SINGLE-STATION SMOKE ALARMS SHALL BE
 PROVIDED IN ALL ROOMS USED FOR SLEEPING.
  
 9) BEFORE A PERMIT TO CONSTRUCT, MAY BE ISSUED, IMPACT
 FEES MUST BE PAID TO PALM BEACH COUNTY. THE ACTUAL
 PERMIT SET OF PLANS MUST BE STAMPED BY THAT OFFICE, AND
 A COPY OF THE PAID RECEIPT ATTACHED TO THE PERMIT
 APPLICATION. PLEASE CALL (561)233-5025 FOR MORE
 INFORMATION.
  
 10) WHEN RESUBMITTING PLANS PLEASE INDICATE THE
 REVISION & REMOVE ANY VOIDED SHEETS & REPLACE ANY PAGES
 AS NECESSARY, COLLATE AND STAPLE INTO SETS OF PLANS. A
 TRANSMITTAL LETTER LISTING THE ORIGINAL REVIEW COMMENT
 NUMBER, WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE REVISION MADE,
 IDENTIFYING THE SHEET OR SPECIFICATION PAGE WHERE THE
 CHANGES CAN BE FOUND WILL HELP TO EXPEDITE YOUR PERMIT.
