 CHECKLIST.
 CODE: FBC 5TH EDITION (2014).
  
 1- THERE ARE TWO STRUCTURES SHOWN ON PLANS SUBMITTED.
 THE MAIN HOUSE AND THE REAR STRUCTURE. NEED TO SUBMIT A
 PERMIT APPLICATION FOR EACH STRUCTURE. 105.1 AND SEC.
 107.2.1.4 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE: REVISED PLANS SPECIFY THAT REAR STRUCTURE IS
 GOING TO BE DEMOLISHED. NEED TO SUBMIT SEPARATE PERMIT
 APPLICATION FOR THE DEMOLITION OF THE REAR BUILDING.
 COORDINATE WITH THE HISTORIC PLANNER.
  
 2- CLEARLY SPECIFY TYPE AND SIZE OF EXISTING BEDROOM
 WINDOWS AND TYPE AND SIZE OF PROPOSED BEDROOM WINDOWS
 TO VERIFY COMPLIANCE WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS. SEC.
 704 OF FBC-EXISTING BUILDING, 5TH EDITION (2014).
 RESPONSE: SIZES OF WINDOWS SHOWN ON THE FLOOR PLAN ON
 SHEET A-2 DON'T MATCH SIZES SHOWN ON THE EXTERIOR
 ELEVATIONS ON SHEET A-3. REVISE AS REQUIRED TO MATCH.
 ALSO, TO AVOID CONFLICTS, PLEASE USE THE SAME FORMAT TO
 SPECIFY SIZE OF WINDOWS (FOR EXAMPLE 37"W X 63"H SINGLE
 HUNG WINDOWS). NOTE: THERE ARE SOME BEDROOM WINDOWS
 THAT DON'T SEEM TO COMPLY WITH THE EGRESS REQUIREMENTS.
 ALL BEDROOMS NEED TO COMPLY WITH THE EGRESS
 REQUIREMENTS. CLEARLY SHOW THE ACTUAL SIZE OF THE
 BEDROOM WINDOWS THAT COMPLY WITH THE EGRESS
 REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED ON THE EGRESS WINDOWS NOTES ON
 SHEET A-2 AND A-3. SEE PGT SINGLE HUNG PRODUCT APPROVAL
 SUBMITTED FOR STANDARD SIZES.
  
 3- PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL (2 COPIES) AS REQUIRED BY
 FAC 61G20-3.001 FOR:
 A) EXTERIOR SWING DOORS AS SHOWN ON PLANS. NOA
 01-0122.09 SUBMITTED EXPIRED ON APRIL 25, 2007. NEED
 CURRENT NOA.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT.
  
 B) CLARIFY IF NEW ROOFING IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED OR
 NOT. IF SO, THEN NEED TO PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL. AND,
 CLEARLY MARK APPROVED ASSEMBLY TO BE INSTALLED AND
 PROVIDE SIGNED AND SEALED RAS 117 CALCULATIONS IF
 REQUIRED.
 RESPONSE: REPEAT COMMENT.
  
 4- ARCHITECT OF RECORD TO REVIEW AND APPROVE IN WRITING
 (NOT SIGNING AND SEALING) ALL PRODUCT APPROVALS
 (INCLUDING THE ONES THAT WERE ALREADY SUBMITTED) AS
 REQUIRED BY SEC. 107.3.4.1 CITY AMENDMENTS.
 RESPONSE. REPEAT COMMENT.
  
 5- NEW SHEET T-1:
 A) ALTERATION LEVEL WAS CHANGED FROM LEVEL 3 TO LEVEL
 2. THE WORK AREA EXCEEDS 50 PERCENT OF THE AREA OF THE
 BUILDING. THEREFORE, THE ALTERATION LEVEL IS 3. REVISE
 AS REQUIRED. SEC. 505 FBC-EXISTING BUILDING, 5TH
 EDITION (2014).
  
 B) THE CONSTRUCTION TYPE SPECIFIED UNDER SITE DATA AND
 UNDER THE LOCATION MAP IS INCORRECT. THIS IS A TYPE VB
 CONSTRUCTION NOT TYPE III. SEC. 602 FBC-5TH EDITION
 (2014).
  
 6- SHEET A-4:
 A) POST BASE CONNECTOR "A1" IS NOT CLEAR. WHAT'S "HBC
 POST BASE"? CLEARLY SPECIFY SPECIFIC POST BASE MODEL TO
 BE USED AND PROVIDE CURRENT FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL
 NUMBER.
 SEC. R301.1 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 B) STUCCO ON WOOD FRAMED BUILDINGS REQUIRES 2 WATER
 RESISTIVE BARRIERS AS REQUIRED BY SEC. R703.6.3
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL. REVISE SPECIFICATIONS ON THE TYPICAL
 WALL SECTION AS REQUIRED.
  
 C) CLARIFY IF NEW ROOFING IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED OR
 NOT. IF SO, THEN NEED TO PROVIDE PRODUCT APPROVAL. FAC
 61G20-3.001. CLARIFY WHY BOTH WALL SECTIONS PROVIDE
 SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FLAT ROOF. SEC. 107.2.1 CITY
 AMENDMENTS.
  
 D) SPECIFY ALL FRAMING MEMBERS AND CONNECTORS ON THE
 TYPICAL EXTERIOR WALL FRAMING DETAIL. SEC. R301.1
 FBC-RESIDENTIAL.
  
 7- BASED ON ALL THE SCOPE OF WORK SHOWN ON PLANS
 (INCLUDING ALL THE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL WORK SHOWN
 ON PLANS) THE VALUE DECLARED IN THE PERMIT APPLICATION
 IS TOO LOW. VALUE TO INCLUDE ALL LABOR, MATERIALS,
 CONTRACTOR'S OVERHEAD AND PROFIT AND ALL DESIGN
 PROFESSIONAL FEES AS REQUIRED BY SEC. 109.3 CITY
 AMENDMENTS. CONTRACTOR TO UPDATE VALUE AND ADD THE FEES
 FOR THE DESIGN PROFESSIONAL.
  
 ****PLEASE PROVIDE RESPONSE LETTER ADDRESSING EACH
 COMMENT TO EXPEDITE THE REVIEW PROCESS.
 ****PLEASE INSERT ANY REVISED DRAWING AND REMOVE OLD
 DRAWING. DON'T STAPLE OLD DRAWINGS. SUBMIT OLD DRAWINGS
 FOR REFERENCE.
